Back in February, Alvin Cole, who at 17 yo was busy earning his Ph.D. in thuggery, was hip hopping around a mall with a stolen gun. Not only was he underage for having a gun, but also had a juvenile felony record.  When the police confronting him outside the mall he ran and discharged his weapon managing to hit himself in the arm.

 A black police officer, Joseph Mensah, opened fire and Cole is deceased.

The grand jury declined to prosecute the police officer.

A few nights ago I couldn't sleep and 3am found me ensconced in front of my computer re-studying the history of Nicholas II of Russia.  Why?  I have no idea.

 After Nicholas I did a Cliff Note swipe at Archduke Ferdinand and the start of WWI.  You can't hardly do Nicholas II without perusing Vladimir Lenin and the Bolsheviks, now can you?  So a few more hours crept by while doing more research and study.

Since I'm a visual type person I decided I needed a good time line of world history, so off to Amazon where I grabbed a used copy of National Geographic Concise History of the World: An Illustrated Time Line. 

Every Wednesday I now attend a History Club.  Most of the members are veterans of the Vietnam War and listening to their stories is fascinating.  It's also embarrassing because even though I supported our troops, I have little understanding about what was going on and would routinely forget which side we were on.  Since the war actually started in 1955 when I was 10 years old, I've cut myself some slack on the issue. However, by the time I hit my late twenties and our troops were still slogging around in the jungle, I should have paid more attention - no more slack cutting for me!

Many of them highly recommend H.R. McMaster's book Dereliction of Duty: Johnson, McNamara, the Joint Chiefs of Staff so a copy is on it's way to my humble abode.

No one has anything bad to say about Antifa (who it is becoming clear were protected by the police and who started the riot) or Black Lives Matter, another violent, racist, and intolerable group.

I'm having a hard time following the thinking of someone like this POS mayor who demands Trump renounce "white nationalists" while ignoring the mayhem and violence spread by other groups, because we all know how peaceful Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and while the pink pussy hat wearing women didn't start riots, they most certainly demonstrated violent rhetoric.  Wearing an ugly hat doesn't absolve you of being a hate group.  It's virtue signalling at its most repulsive.

The only person responsible for this is the mayor for not directing his police department to keep the groups separate.  Is that hard to understand?  The only way for this to have happened was for it to be allowed to happen.  I call that state sponsored terrorism.  I don't care how much money Soros poured into Antifa and Black Lives Matter, it would not have happened without the support of the very people who were elected to do a job and refused to do it. 

Trump was right to call out the violence by both all many sides.  The "alt-right" is no more right than the leftists who oppose them.  They're all collectivists - hence they're all leftists.
