This is what happens when you draw your public conclusions by sticking your wet finger in the air.
Nancy Pelosi and the mayor of Berkeley, Jesse Arreguin, have denounced Antifa:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., says the "violent" members of Antifa — those members of the anti-fascist group who allegedly attacked conservative demonstrators over the weekend in Berkeley, Calif. — should be arrested and prosecuted.
"Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts," Pelosi said in a statement Wednesday, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. "The violent actions of people calling themselves Antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation. source
While it's a lie that Paul Ryan supported Antifa with a quote attributed to him that was proven to be fake news, he was a bit late on denouncing the tactics of Antifa as being loathsome.
Fake → Fake → Fake →
Unfortunately, this cements in the minds of people that Paul Ryan is a quisling. Because in today's world fake news rapidly becomes the "truth."
And, therefore, I think it's time to give up taxing our brains, our health, and our sanity.
Paul Ryan pulled the health care bill. Was this a Trump plan to hang it around Ryan's neck? Possibly. Ryan is certainly no friend to Trump. Obamacare is headed to the garbage can. Will Trump just let it collapse? Possibly.
With thanks to Geeezfor reminding me of this truism.
Make no mistake about this upcoming election - the GOPe, the MSM, social media, and the phony poll takers are not your friends.
Every one of the videos below came out yesterday. Watch them in order and sit quietly and think about what you've heard. I apologize for inflicting Bill O'Reilly on you, but Trump is the focus of the interview.
I've linked to Michael Snyder below who lists the 10 signs that the Trump campaign is being sabotaged. His points are valid, but I disagree with his conclusion.
Before I end this article, I just want to comment on why some top Republicans are so motivated to sabotage the Trump campaign.
If Donald Trump wins in 2016, it would be nearly impossible for any Republican to challenge him for the nomination in 2020.
That would mean that the next time any top Republican could realistically shoot for the White House would be 2024.
This helps to explain why Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have
been so openly hostile to the Trump campaign. A Trump loss “keeps 2020
open”, and many analysts believe that after four years of Hillary
Clinton it would be a golden opportunity for a Republican candidate.
So the truth is that much of this opposition to Trump is simply based on selfish political ambition.
Think back to that Italian proverb, and you'll realize that it's not political ambition that's driving this insanity.
The pawns and the Kings are in the same box. A Trump presidency will uncover the maggots living under the rocks. The GOPe is rife with maggots. Many of these people are criminals and belong in jail.
Ask yourself what the GOPe has done for you over the last eight years. Nothing - except enrich themselves off the back's of the taxpayer.
What you're smelling is fear.
When Donald Trump said he would appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton, the look on her face was fear. Do you think for one teeny second that Hillary Clinton was able to pull off all her underhanded illegal activities without the knowledge, and possible collusion, of the GOPe?
Over the next 26 days, you can expect the barrage of Trump bad news, leaked videos, and rigged polls to continue, while the emails of Clinton, clearly showing her illegal activities, will be ignored.
First off, as I was coming home last night, Meghan McCain was on the radio in the car. Poor Meghan, who has a job in radio because of her father, John, really is a very dim bulb. I've never felt like she was a mean person, just a bit slow and, oh so, Pollyanna.
She's prattling on about how Trump's temporary ban on immigration from terrorist countries was unconstitutional. Actually, it's not, but why let a little thing like facts get in the way of our attempt to think. But it's what she said next that had me wondering if her dim bulb had been permanently turned off. Ready?
She said, "After all, people have a right to live in the United States." What the hell? Bet you didn't know that, did you?
(f) Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens
or of any class of aliens into the United States would be
detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by
proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary,
suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as
immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any
restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. INA: ACT 212 - GENERAL CLASSES OF ALIENS INELIGIBLE TORECEIVE VISAS AND INELIGIBLE FOR ADMISSION; WAIVERS OF INADMISSIBILITY
If you read the whole document, painfully written in government legalese, you will find that almost all the immigrants Odumbo has allowed into our country, are not qualified and should have never been allowed entry, but why let a little thing like the law impede the progress of destroying the U.S.?
I guess Paul Ryan wants to sue Trump over the possibility of a Muslim ban on immigration. He has his tighty whiteys in a twist over who in hell will be the check and balance if Trump is president. Let me offer a clue, Paul. It won't be the do-nothing congress who has allowed Odumbo to run rough shod over the constitution for the past 7 1/2 years.
Coeur d' Alene prayer vigil
I am weary of the MSM referring to the people who died in Orlando as "gay." If that had been a regular night club, would we be calling the victims "straight?" Why, no, no we wouldn't. They're not more dead, no more mourned because they were homosexuals. It's demeaning to who they were as people. It robs them of their humanity.
There was some sort of prayer vigil for the victims held in Coeur d' Alene. The speakers were mostly homosexual activists, and the people were waving "gay pride" flags. Not one mention in the entire article to Muslims, Islam, or jihad. Interesting.
This isn't about furthering an agenda. This is about a repressed homosexual Muslim killing a bunch of people in the name of Allah. Makes you wonder what flavor his 72 virgins will be.
My friend Terry, over at Abbey Roads, wrote a brilliant piece about this:
Making it all about the gay, or ridiculously, about bullying, diminishes
the victims, it distracts from the fact ISIS terror is here, in the
U.S.
I've been reading some of the gay-Catholic blogs and articles online, as
well as some conservative criticism of bishop(s) and priest(s) who are
suggesting Catholic teaching is responsible for the homophobia which
motivated the attack. I don't care what you say - these people are
callously using the attack to further an ideological agenda. I think I
mentioned that yesterday when I posted the following from First Things:
I had cause to make a stop at Pawn One yesterday. They told me that
handguns were flying off the shelves, and they'd already sold every
AR-15, or reasonable facsimile, in one day. Make of it what you will.
Need some ammunition (not to make a pun) when talking to gun-grabbers?
He's a wonderful speaker, but the hairdresser in me really wants to give him a haircut.
And to finish on a low note:
Witness the typical Odumbo family picture of them heading off to another vacation at our expense. Odumbo leading the way, holding hands with his oldest daughter, while Mooch and the younger one trail behind. In my opinion, the whole thing is creepy.
Developed by the Task Force on Poverty, Opportunity, and Upward
Mobility as part one of a six-point initiative by House Republicans
titled ‘A Better Way,’ this plan aims to transition government policy
from treating the symptoms of poverty to those that perpetuate it.
According to Ryan, “instead of trapping people in poverty, we can get
them on the ladder of opportunity, reward work, and open our economy so
everyone can make the most of their lives.”
I've been hearing this for an entire lifetime, which is a very long time. Let's face it, you will never end the fact that some people will always be less wealthy than other people.
The fact is that what we call "poor" in today's world is far from poor. When "poor" people have big screen TV's, smart phones, washers/dryers, cars (sometimes multiple), health care, and so much food to eat that many of them are obese, they are not "poor."
I've witnessed unwed mothers receiving free specialized at-risk pregnancy health care for their third planned pregnancy by three different men. Meantime, the lucky users of Obamacare are stuck with six to ten thousand dollar co-pays.
In order to do so, Ryan’s poverty policy proposal outlines five transformative approaches from previous government efforts.
First, hard work must be rewarded by incentivizing and requiring participation back into the labor force.
Second, benefits and programs must be particularized and tailored to
fit the diverse economic and social challenges of those living in
poverty today.
Third, improving skills and schooling will ensure young Americans in
poverty will have a better pathway to success while also creating a more
productive labor force, thus assuring an economically stable future for
all Americans.
Fourth, transitioning from “dependence to independence” will be
facilitated through long-term based preparedness for the future and
retirement.
Fifth, relinquishing power back localities aims to increase
accountability by empowering communities to reach the poverty stricken
on a one-to-one level.
I suppose this proposal is better than nothing, but you may call me both skeptical and cynical.
Meantime, Odumbo thinks the best way to fight poverty is to move poor people into fancy suburbs. Yeah, that will help.
Trust me on this - it's already going on. Everywhere it has happened hard working people have lost the value of their most important investment - their home. Protect your cat tower!
Question: Wouldn't it be nice if the GOPe was as concerned with the middle class as they are with the "poor?"
How does Trump feel about this?
WESTCHESTER, New York — Donald Trump told Westchester County Executive
Rob Astorino Tuesday he will discontinue the Housing and Urban
Development regulation that allows the federal government to dictate
local and state zoning laws. read the rest
Is not easy to place your trust in God during such turbulent times. That doesn't mean you sit passively in your recliner and ignore the world. God gave us free will for a reason. It is so we can choose to love Him - or not. If we do our duty as God intended and requires for our state in life, then we may be assured that the will of God will be done.
So many people have written so many beautiful posts that I can't think of a thing to add. Okay - that was a bald-face lie. I'm Italian and can always think of a reason to flap my gums. My feeble attempt at self-deprecation is just that - feeble.
Starting off with my friend Grunt at The Blog of Monte Cristo and his brilliant post: A Plea to #NeverTrump Friends. Grunt speaks for me, and does it way better than I ever could - and we thank him.
I would not hold my breath waiting for the MSM to report on Laureate Education.
Which brings us to the accusations of Trump being a racist for calling the judge in his Trump University case a Mexican. Well, first off, he is a Mexican, or at least, of Mexican heritage. This is something the judge is quite proud of which is fine. The preceding statements are facts. The question remains of whether his heritage is compromising the case against Trump University that has been dragging along for about six years. Holy cripes. That's a long time for what appears to be a pretty simple civil case.
Even Bill O'Reilly (another whoa, really?) agrees with Trump.
Yesterday O'Reilly interviewed Trump. Question: How in hell did O'Reilly make it to the top when he is such a bloviator? Like Trump, I have very little patience for people who drag things out. It makes me want to grab them by the throat and scream, "Get to the point!"
Paul Ryan, on the other hand calls it "textbook" racism.
House Speaker Paul Ryan says Donald Trump’s comment on judge Gonzalo
Curiel, an American born in Indiana of Mexican heritage, is the
“textbook definition of a racist comment.”
“Claiming a person can’t do their job because of their race is sort
of like the textbook definition of a racist comment,” Ryan said at a
Washington, D.C., press conference on Tuesday. “I think that should be
absolutely disavowed. It’s absolutely unacceptable.” source
Sorry, Paul, you're dead wrong.
Want to know why? Sure you do.
Because you and your ilk think a person's race makes him or her qualified to do a job even if they're not. Can you say "affirmative action" which is nothing more than racism against white people? Logic tells me that if a person's race can qualify them, it can also un-qualify them. Capisce?
Let's face it, blacks top the charts for racism, closely followed by Hispanics. Does that mean all blacks and Hispanics are racist. Of course not.
This whole meeting thing going on today between Trump and the GOPe reminds me of the person who declares he "put one over" on the car salesman who just sold him a car.
Sure you did. You just negotiated a deal for a new car, something you do maybe every 4 - 6 years. Meantime, if the salesperson is good, he or she has 10 to 20 years of sales training under their belt. They've studied under master sales people, read every book on sales and on closing sales he or she could get their hands on, studied neuro linguistic programming, and learned how to navigate every objection ever dreamed up by the customer.
Trump has had a lifetime of negotiating deals while Ryan, McConnell, et al, have been in their private little DC bubble thinking they're so very much smarter than Trump.
Earlier Wednesday, Trump sought to downplay the stakes of his visit with
Ryan, telling "Fox and Friends", "If we make a deal, that will be
great. And if we don't, we will trudge forward like I've been doing and
winning all the time."
Trump's allies and advisers have repeatedly insisted that he can claim
the White House with or without leading congressional Republicans.
Additionally, Trump's team doesn't believe Ryan or the GOP's other
congressional leaders have any significant influence on the majority of
general election voters. source
Trump's team would be correct in their assessment. No one cares what Ryan, or the others, think or do.
Of course he is. Trump is doing nothing more than closing the sale. And he'll go along with this kabuki theater in order to allow the GOPe to save face just the way the car salesperson lets his customer think that he "put one over" on him while he collects his hefty commission.
Trump understands that he will have to work with these people and humiliating them does not do him, or the country, any good.
So don't believe anything these weasels in Washington say about their meetings with Trump.
When Women Quit Acting Like Women Should Dana Loesch vs Kayleigh McEnany
Speaking of bubbles.
These so-called journalists who have risen up through the ranks of bloggers and alternative news have no idea of how unimportant they really are. Ask the next 100 people you meet who Dana Loesch is and I'll bet you that not one of them has a clue. Same for Kayleigh McEnany.
Imagine my disgust at watching anti-Trumper Dana Loesch go on a rant about something CNN contributor (using the term contributor loosely) Kayleigh McEnany had to say about people who don't support Trump.
Starting out by screeching that she doesn't even know who this CNN "chick" is and how unimportant she is, she proceeds to spend 9 minutes insulting this unimportant "chick." She really steps in it when she refers to Kayleigh's "flat chested red dress. It seems Ms McEnany has had a prophylactic double mastectomy. Ouch! And why is Dana referring to Ms McEnany's breasts at all?
If you've ever wondered why our culture has become so debased and ugly, look no further then what has happened to women in our enlightened world.
This, my friends, is what feminism has done.
In times past, it is the women who have set the standard for behavior and had a civilizing effect on the culture. They provided, to the best of their ability and station in life, beautiful homes and encouraged Christian behavior in their children. Now they produce illegitimate children who are raised by child care centers. Women today are coarser than most men. They spew vile language, dress like strumpets, and are applauded for this behavior. Is it any wonder that the men act as they do?
Anyone who can make it past 5 minutes of this ugly display is a stronger person than moi.
"It's the final surrender of the House Republican leadership to Beltway
politics and kicking the can and ignoring the budget monster that's
hurtling down the road."
Is there really anyone in this country that doesn't understand that the federal and state governments steal money from the producers and spend it on nonsensical programs, grants, and as a way to line their own pockets?
Just this morning, I read where the feds are handing out a grant of over 200K dollars to "study how kids order food in restaurants" in order to prevent obesity. You may think 200K is a drop in the bucket in view of the fact that we are trillions of dollars in debt. However, if you multiple that amount of money by hundreds of thousands it adds up to a real chunk of change.
And how about the billions of dollars being flushed down the toilet called Obamacare? Last week, Sebelius announced the HHS was handing out another 55 million dollars of grant money to address worker shortages in the healthcare industry.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced
last week that her agency will provide over 270 grants “from diversity
to dentistry” to address worker shortages in the healthcare industry.
The funding includes $45.4 million to support the nursing workforce,
$5.2 million of which will go towards “improving nursing diversity.” source
Someone please explain to me what "nursing diversity" means.
So we have an already overburdened system with not enough doctors, and now we have a "law" which will make it worse, and their answer is to throw money at it? They already spent over 500 million in 2009 as part of the "stimulus" to bolster up the medical profession.
I could ask a 4th grader how to save money and come up with a better answer than these elitist snobs in Washington. Billions of dollars are swept away into a plethora of rat-hole programs while the people who were elected to represent us line their pockets with our money. Make no mistake that the people lining their pockets sit on both sides of the aisle.
The only way to stop this madness is to not participate. I'm not talking about not voting. To do that would, in my opinion, be a sin against the virtue of hope. I'm talking about real life decisions that you will have to make for your future to protect yourself and your family.
There are thousands of people out in the blogosphere trying to tell you what to do. But you have to make your own decisions because to follow blindly what another is telling you is what got us into this pickle to begin with. Don't be a sheeple.
Read, study, and practice discernment in everything you do and you'll have a much better chance of weathering the storm that is going to erupt in this country.
"We had to run against his empty
promises. Now we are seeing big government in practice. Now we are
seeing the arrogance, the cronyism in practice in this second term. And
that is even uglier than big government in theory. This is what is
disturbing about this. We had a challenge to campaign against empty
rhetoric, now the country is seeing what this kind of big unlimited
government does in practice."
“I think it goes without saying that there is definitely media bias… As a
conservative I’ve long believed there’s inherent media bias. And I
think anyone with objectivity would believe that is the case today.”
