The Satanic Roots of BLM...

what else can you call a pro-abortion, pro-queer, pro-Marxist organization?

You hear the "first cause" argument when people speak of God. But how about the first cause for a group that supports every thing that is antithetical to God's word?

What is the cause of people who celebrate child sacrifice and unnatural sexual practices manifested in violence, killing, looting, and burning down of civilization?

I would have to believe that Satan, the father of lies, and all his minions are doing the happy dance about now.

Timothy Cardinal Dolan twists himself into a pretzel to defend gays marching in St. Patrick's Day Parade...

and the "Catholics" at Patheos (no link on purpose) have ramped up their support for this very, very bad decision.
NB: If you think this only a Catholic issue and since you're not a mackerel-snapping statue worshiper it doesn't affect you, think again.  Life does not proceed forward in a vacuum.  You can see this sort of thing happening in our politics, our institutions of learning, and in almost all mainstream churches.  These are not separate issues, but are intertwined to destroy our culture.
Cardinal Dolan's response to the self-identifying homosexuals marching in the St. Patrick's Day parade not only affects all Christians everywhere, but also politics, schools, and social policies.
Elizabeth Scalia, who calls herself  "The Anchoress", grand poobah at the Patheos Catholic channel, has cranked up her nastiness to a level that rivals her buddy Mark Shea, who also blogs at Patheos.  Don't dare share a different opinion about the matter or these "Catholics" will call you all manner of names.  And when it starts becoming clear that many who comment are in disagreement, Elizabeth shuts down the comments claiming she will be gone for ten days on a retreat.

Elizabeth, who answers comments using the moniker "MeanLizzie", certainly lives up to the mean part.  She might want to start living up to being an Anchoress by slithering off into the seclusion being an Anchorite demands.

A clue for anyone who goes to Patheos; these people earn their money by the number of  clicks or hits their blog receives.  It is to their benefit to stir up controversy, no never mind if it follows Church teaching.  Hence,
I provide no links. I am not advocating for a boycott on these people.  I don't believe in boycotts.  If you like their sites, by all means visit them.  I choose not to.

Michael Voris beautifully sums up what is wrong with Cardinal Dolan's response  - and we thank him.

Michael Voris: Is Fox News really conservative?...

Michael Voris examines the top three "Catholic" anchors on Fox news.

Disclaimer:

I don't watch Fox News.  I don't watch any TV news.  And I rarely access the Fox website. I've always found Bill O'Reilly to be ponderously boring and Sean Hannity lapses often into being a bully.

The verbal exchange between Sean Hannity and Father Thomas Euteneuer (4:16 mark) is shocking in showing how profoundly Mr. Hannity does not understand Catholic teaching about artificial contraception.  He also makes claims that have been proven to be statistically wrong.

And contrary to the opinion of most conservatives, I think Megyn Kelly also slips into the bully mode as a way, no doubt, to inflate her ratings, and ends up sounding nothing more than shrill.  Listen to her accuse Dr. Keith Ablow (18:20) of being a "hater" because, using Chaz Bono as an example, he thinks it may not be helpful for young people's development to lionize those people who are either homosexual or transgendered.  Hater?  When did Dr. Ablow ever say he "hated" homosexuals?  Ms Kelly sounds like any liberal/progressive preaching tolerance, et al.

A small example of what Dr. Ablow is referencing is apparent in our local high school where there has been a recent "outbreak" of lesbianism.  Girls, some as young as 12 or 13, are now openly declaring themselves lesbians.  I've identified over 80 such girls in a school of approximately 1500 students, which is statistically not likely.   It's become some sort of "inner circle" club of sorts for girls who are misfits or in great need of a clique with which to identify.  Almost everyone of these girls comes from a broken home with very little interaction or attention from a father.

Is there anyone who cannot see the connection between the positive attention our modern day homosexuals receive and this new "being a lesbian is cool" thinking in little girls?  In our present politically correct culture no one wants the task of telling these girls their behavior is reckless, unhealthy, and - God forbid, have anyone tell them it's a sin.

When did children become a burden instead of a blessing?...

good question.

I'm sure someone, somewhere, has done a study about the happiness level of large vs small families.  I don't have time to research it, so we'll just have to rely on my paltry observations.  There are many families in our area of North Idaho that consist of anywhere from five to twelve children.  I'm personally acquainted with at least thirty to forty such families.  In every single case, the children are well adjusted and the mothers happy and healthy.

One lady I work with is in her late seventies (early eighties?) and has twelve kids.  One of her daughters has ten and another has eight.  I'm pretty sure the remaining ten kids also have fairly large families.  You would be hard pressed to find a more lovely group of ladies (who also happen to have great figures.)

My mother only had two children due to medical difficulties, and was always sad because she wanted nothing more than to have a large family.

A blog I follow,  Parisienne Farmgirl, just had her fifth baby after thinking the fourth one could have been her last.  The joy of the new baby (born at home) shared by her husband and other children is palpable.  I swiped this pic from her blog and I hope she'll forgive me.

I guess the real question is when did having an over-sized and overpriced house, a $40,000.00 SUV (or two), and fancy doodads become a substitute for children?

Michael Voris: "Obama holds nothing sacred except that which is evil"...(video)

brought to my attention by my blogger friend Dr. Jay Boyd who has much more to say on this subject and some other good videos.  Thanks, Dr Jay.
From the following video:
But the same people who pretend to be the moralists and the high-minded with regard to poverty and social justice are the same ones who were working tirelessly to elect and
advance Obama.

Since the Church has sadly found itself so closely wedded to the culture, who can doubt that as the culture disintegrates, it will not impact the Church as well.

The Church upholds the family – the traditional family. Yet many of the heads of these
households aren’t able to find either work or the necessary work to sustain their families.
And as most people know – financial stressers are the leading cause of fights and
arguments and lack of peace in the home.

If you back Obama and call yourself a Catholic – consider what your vote for him has
done to harm, hurt and break apart the traditional family.
The man supports evil – not only in the obvious forms of sodomy and child murder and
contraception, but also – at the same time – by using his power over the economy to
cripple families.

This is the most puke inducing video ever made...

Obama touting his "Catholic" friends, quoting scripture, and pledging his undying devotion to Jesus.

Guess what, Obama?  God doesn't like you killing babies, you moral illiterate.

Any person who calls themselves Catholic and votes for Obama is about the same as me calling myself a zucchini.  And don't pull out the old "I must go with my conscience" carp.  God demands that you properly form your conscience.

God judges most harshly on how we treat our fellow man.  If you are part of a group that misleads others into voting for the most pro-abortion president in history, you should fear for your soul.

And that vast cadre of "Catholic" bloggers who have their heads planted firmly in the sand insisting that everything is hunky-dory, and denigrate anyone who claims there may be a tiny problem in some of the Church leadership are also leading people astray.

The Church will survive.  God promised the gates of hell will not prevail.  Can you say the same thing about yourself?

Michael Voris has something to share about Catholics who vote for Obama.

I thought my capacity to be shocked had about reached it's limits...

until I saw a story over at Dan Riehl's blog.

It was bad enough when Obama had a reception for homosexuals in the White House.  Really?  The White House hosts a reception for people who identify themselves by the manner in which they have sex?  When do the rest of us get a reception?

But it's what was allowed to take place in the White House that shocked me.  Photos of homosexuals giving the portrait of Ronald Reagan the finger were allowed to be taken.   Allowed is the only word I can use since it is up to the White House to monitor these things.

From:  Riehl World View:

Picture And Video: Gay Activist Invited To White House Gives Reagan Portrait The Finger

Allow Michael Voris to back up what I've been saying all along:  There is something really odd (really odd is my way of saying bat-sh*t crazy) about people who self-identify by the manner in which they engage in sex.  It's perverse...

Let's talk about Patheos...

known around our house as "the barn where every religion has its very own stall."

Even Scientology. What?

I loathe combox flame wars and never engage in them.  They are pointless and a complete waste of time.

However (always listen closely to what follows either "but" or "however"), my good friend and blogger extraordinaire, LarryD, of Acts of the Apostasy, did a post last week - The Problem With Patheos

In his post, he expressed some troubling aspects on the site, mostly focusing on some misleading information on the Catholic faith, and he questioned whether some of the other faiths were also being described incorrectly.

For those of you who not aware of Patheos, it is a big site where every religion has a "portal" with it's own little group of bloggers and columnists.  When a blogger is invited to join, their entire personal blog is subsumed into the Patheos site and they cease to exist as an independent blogger.  I believe they are paid on a "pay per click" basis and, as Larry made very clear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I've always thought the Patheos site was a jumble of incoherency and terribly hard to navigate, which has become even worse since their recent re-design.  All manner of articles are jumbled up together on the main page with no indication of what religion is the basis for the article, making it a modern day Tower of Babel.

Larry never attacked or demeaned any of the writers at the site and only pointed out a few deficiencies.  What followed was a fairly predictable event, as the Catholic bloggers from Patheos piled on Larry, doing their best imitation of outrage at how anyone could question their fidelity to the faith (which Larry never did), and to express the wonder of having tripled their readership.  This increased readership was touted as a way to promote more evangelization of the faith.

Leading the pack was one of their "star" bloggers, a certain Mark Shea (no link on purpose.)  This would be the same Mark Shea who routinely rips to shreds anyone who dares to disagree with him.  The same Mark Shea who, when Father John Corapi was under investigation last year, proceeded, along with one Deacon Greg Kandra and Elizabeth Scalia, to demonize Corapi and denounce anyone who dared to say that perhaps they didn't have the full story.  Guess what?  We still don't have the full story, and Corapi has completely dropped from sight.  That resulted in all of them piling on again to declare; "See, we were right all along."  Huh?

Or how about Michael Voris, president of St. Michael's Media, which produces Real Catholic TV?  In one of Mr. Voris' presentations on the Vortex series, he made a reference to "professional Catholics."  Mr. Shea's ego went into overdrive thinking that certainly Mr. Voris just had to be referring to him.  Ummmm - I don't think so, Mark; your sense of self-importance is not shared by everyone.  What followed was article after article denigrating Real Catholic TV, Michael Voris, and anyone who actually liked Mr. Voris and what he had to say.

If this sort of thing is what passes as "evangelization" in their world, they are sadly mistaken.  If they were really serious about evangelizing, maybe they should consider toning down the snarkiness and "eating of their own" and try promoting the beauty of the Catholic faith.

This blog started out as a "Catholic" blog and eventually morphed into politics.  The vitriol I found on so many Catholic blogs became a complete turn off.  Politics is tame in comparison.  Are there problems with some of the goings on in the Church?  You bet there are!  Churches are made up of people and people are not perfect.  In order to continue as a "Catholic" blogger, I would have had to air some dirty laundry in public - something I'm not comfortable doing anymore than I would be comfortable airing any personal family problems I may be having.

Those that have taken up that mantel, like Michael Voris, should not be demonized and ridiculed.  I say, "God bless them and may they continue their fine work."

Lest you think I'm dumping on all Catholic blogs,  allow me to disabuse you of that notion.  There are many fine Catholic bloggers out there.  People like Patrick Madrid, Karl Keating, founder of Catholic Answers, Matt and Pat Archbold of Creative Minority Report, and yes - LarryD of Acts of the Apostasy, who is one of the best examples of a fine Catholic husband, father, and son that you could hope to find and did not deserve to be attacked.

A Crisis of Truth...

is infecting Christians of all churches.

If this is allowed to happen to Catholics, it will happen to all Christians.  In fact - it's well underway.  Pay attention...
