A public service announcement of much seriousness from Mr. Pinko of iOwnTheWorld
A Pinko-less iOwnTheWorld
It's really important that you read the rest. Really! It was around 1:45a.m. Ms. Pinko was fast asleep and I did not want to wake her up. I work into the night and snack almost every night. I try to eat healthy; fruits, nuts, vegetables. Sometimes unhealthy, ice cream or sorbet.
Last night, I ate a watermelon chunk and it got lodged in my throat. For a few seconds I thought to myself, no big deal, it will go down. It didn’t. Panic, quickly overcame me. I couldn’t take a breathe. My next thought, run down stairs so I wouldn’t wake up Ms. Pinko. I didn’t want her asking questions while I turned blue in front of her trying to sign what the hell was going on. It would just take away precious seconds to act.

Debt ceiling Kabuki theater continues, the Huffington Post causes migraines, and John Hawkins is an idiot...
but life goes on.
Prediction:
At the end of the debt talks we will have more debt and our taxes will be raised. End of story.
Huffington Post
The worst migraine aura I've ever experienced happened after reading a HuffPo story and a bunch of comments. I went on an expedition over there to "know what the enemy is thinking" only to be reminded that the enemy doesn't think - they feeeeeeeeeeel.
John Hawkins
To make matters worse, I happened upon an article by John Hawkins, The Slow, Painful Coming Death Of The Independent, Conservative Blogosphere. Ordinarily, I wouldn't link to a silly screed such as this but since I'm not a big important blogger like John, I hesitate to be miserly with my linky-love. Because that's the only reason he posted that article. It's called blog whoring. It seems to be working, but not exactly how he expected.
Allow me to sum up his article to save you the pain of actually having to go and read it. If you're a small independent conservative blogger, you may as well put a dagger in your heart and end it all. Consider yourself a loser, unlike John who is big, important, and loved by all.
Hey, John. My friend Zilla has some advice for you:
Here's my message for you, John.
You see, this is my little blog and if I want to post pictures of kitteh's - I will.
That's all.

Hey, John. My friend Zilla has some advice for you:
Take Your "Death of Right-Blogs" Proclamation and Shove It!
Well said, Zilla!!
And how about what Jimmy Bise offered up in the way of rebuttal?:
How Selfish Bloggers and a Hapless GOP Are Choking the Life from the Independent, Conservative Blogosphere
i Own The World has the right attitude:
Calling All Conservative Bloggers!!
So head on over to iOTW and leave a comment.iOTW is not a large blog, we’re not a small blog. We’re somewhere in the middle. And being in the middle means that there are plenty of blogs we can help. iOTW doesn’t want any conservative blogs going belly up (except maybe some annoying ones – hehe) because that isn’t going to help the overall cause of conservatism.
So, if you have your own blog, no matter how modest or large, please put a link to it in the comment section of this post. I will be maintaining this post and monitoring its progress and bumping it from time to time to the front page. I will also be going to the blogs to poach some posts to include among our daily content.
Here's my message for you, John.
You see, this is my little blog and if I want to post pictures of kitteh's - I will.

This weekend, comment moderation, and 6 pounds of fury...
which is the new name the vet gave my tiny kitty.
My tiny kitty had to go to the vet this morning. Little Erica barely hits 6 lbs on the scale due to living in starvation mode when she was a baby before we became her "forever family." . To say Erica doesn't like the cat carrier would be the understatement of the century. Do you think two adults are a match for a teeny-tiny pissed off kitty? That would be a big no. I will say this morning went better than the last time we had to stick her in the carrier when the entire house was destroyed. Really!
This morning she only managed to draw minimal blood (from hubby thank goodness.) She's surprisingly well behaved at the vet and it only took two people to "pill" her. When she saw the worm pill headed her way, she clamped her jaws so tightly every pit bull in the county was in awe.
We decided she needed a teeth cleaning and the vet had time so she stayed for the procedure. Two of her teeny tiny razor sharp teeth had to be extracted and now I have a teeny-tiny pissed-off drugged-up kitty staggering around the house. Life is good!
Comments
Apologies for not responding in a timely fashion to comments. I've had comment moderation on for years due to a few really nasty trolls. I finally decided that my readers were mature enough to recognize a crazy when they see one, and the inclusion of the "c" word would not produce any long-term deleterious psychological effects. However, I'm not used to comments going directly to being published. I will adjust in time - and I thank you for your patience.
The Weekend:
This weekend is the Bretton Woods Conference II. The Blaze has a nice sneak peek at the goings-on.
Sneak Peek: Pictures From George Soros Weekend Conference to ‘Rearrange the Financial Order’
And Obama, more concerned with the possible stoppage of abortions, would rather cut off military pay than defund Planned Parenthood (who, incidentally, provide birth control pills for girls as young as 13 without the knowledge or consent of the parents.) Sick!
More:
Weasel Zippers: Planned Parenthood Spent Than One Million Electing Democrats During Mid-Terms.
Pundette: Harry Reid's hill to die on: Funding Planned Parenthood
American Power: Ezra Klein Shills for Planned Parenthood Abortion Industry
Doug Ross: As shutdown looms, President Obama could pay the troops with the stroke of a pen, just as Reagan and Clinton did. But he won't...
Stacy McCain (at his very best - which is very good, indeed!) New Motherf–g Tone Update: Government Shutdown Edition
Political Junkie Mom (a service wife) has a few choice words and some news: It’s official! We’ll receive half a paycheck midmonth!
And lastly: Obama Cancels Williamsburg Trip
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Too bad.

Federal Government Wants to Get in the Bully Business...
I thought they already were.
Early this morning (on what is shaping up to be a slow news day - thank goodness), I ran across an article at Hot Air Dem Rep wants to make bullying a federal offense.
The solution is not vouchers as many believe. The solution is to shut down the Department of Education and privatize the schools. These could be smaller neighborhood schools that wouldn't require a "district" stocked full of over-paid bureauroweenies sucking up the education dollars, and where kids would actually be able to read their diploma when they graduated.
Here's a good example of the priorities of the Department of Education:
Bob Belvedere - Oooops! Bungalow Bill: Department of Education Asks Schools to Spy on Children on Facebook and During Lunch
Conservatives on Fire asks the million dollar question: When is the Next Election for EPA Director?
The EPA is another department that should hit the skids.
Lonely Conservative defends the new Republicans: Can We Give Then A Little Time Here?
May I join with her by saying it took a hundred years to get in the mess we're in and one election isn't going to fix it (if it's even fixable and I have my doubts on that issue.) The only way to get rid of the hundreds and hundreds of largely unconstitutional federal agencies is little by little. In the meantime, expect things to get ugly - very ugly.
Dan Riehl doesn't completely agree with us The GOP Army Of The Potomac Is AWOL
T.L. Davis has some insights on the present and looming battles We Are Led By The Most Vile
After you read T.L.'s article, Bob Belvedere has more to say about who we are dealing with In The Heart Of Darkness
and earns the coveted:
Quote of the Day Award
and
John Carey, over at Sentry Journal brings us the history of origin of St. Patrick's Day: - and we thank him.
Hubby has said that I should stop posting cute kitteh pictures. He thinks it confuses my readers. I told him my readers were not that easily confused. You aren't, are you?
Early this morning (on what is shaping up to be a slow news day - thank goodness), I ran across an article at Hot Air Dem Rep wants to make bullying a federal offense.
I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. While the economy is in a free-fall, unemployment is at an all-time high, food prices are skyrocketing, gas prices continue to rise, Japan is having a melt-down, and the middle east is on fire, the loony left wants the feds to oversee bullying in schools? Isn't that something the schools should be handling?Rep. Jackie Speier, California Democrat, will introduce a bill that would require schools to report incidents of bullying against children diagnosed with conditions like Down syndrome and Aspergers to the federal government. It would also mandate that any federal dollars that promote anti-bullying programs focus partially on that group. read the rest

There are no restraints on the Leftist’s behavior because he has rejected all the restraints demanded of people with Free Will. There are no ties to the shared beliefs that make a group of people a civilization. The Leftist possesses free license to do as he pleases, however, as with all things in life, there is a trade-off. In holding free license, the bearer finds that he is eternally miserable because when there is no standard to live up to, no nobility to maintain, no honor to preserve, there is absolutely nothing to admire. All the Leftist is left with his self-contempt and self-hatred, like so many Gollums. He sees everyone as a reflection of himself. And he loathes himself and, as TL wrote, ‘then they magnify that to fit their perception of others’. Bob Belvedere

Acts Of The Apostasy: We Need To Bring Back Shame
I couldn't have said it better (well.............. maybe I could have, but I didn't, so I'll stick with "I couldn't have said it better.)
Acts Of The Apostasy: We Need To Bring Back Shame
Acts Of The Apostasy: We Need To Bring Back Shame
[...]Which leads us back to shame. Moral people, Christians especially, are now the ones expected to feel shameful should they disagree with someone's behavior. It's acceptable to judge the moral people as judgmental. It's wrong to point out that some behaviors are immoral, harmful to themselves and society, and offensive to God.
Tough. There will always be behaviors and acts that are shameful due to their nature, not whether or not they make a person happy, or bring fulfillment. All the laws and prohibitions enacted by governments cannot undo any moral truth. read the entire article - it's excellent!

The "Catholycs" Beat the Drum for Ecopsychology...
what the hell is that, you ask? Good question. LarryD, at Acts of The Apostasy, has taken time to explain this - and we thank him.
To think that this drivel is originating from a publication that calls itself "Catholic" is mind-numbing. The biggest problem is the existence of several generations of un-churched Catholics. These are people who don't have the smallest inkling regarding real Catholic teachings, and have no concept of what a "well-formed conscience" really means.

Nuts. Plain nuts. Nothing logical at all about their ecological ideology.

Breaking: Daily Kos has decided to throw it's considerable influence behind the Tea Party movement...
Well not exactly...
Instead, they're planning a grassroots smear campaign to "get as many undecided voters as possible to read the most damaging news article about the Republican candidate for Congress in their district" by posting as many links as possible to the aforementioned damaging articles. Oh yes - you are urged to sign up with The Daily Kos to participate. Hmmmm - would this have anything to do with enlarging their subscriptions? (No link to the Daily Kos on purpose)
This comes as no surprise after reading what Stacy McCain posted on the video documenting the role of activists apparently organized by Neal Rauhauser with ties to The Daily Kos This material is vile but needs to be seen. Know thy enemy is a wise saying and the enemy is a Godless, vile group of people.
None of this surprises me. The Marxist lefties of this country are unable to defend their position with even the tiniest modicum of intelligence and so must resort to boorish childish name calling. Keep it classy, lefties!
This Isn't About Obama
Mind-Numbed Robot has been working hard to bring us important information about who the enemy is on the state level with his new page The Socia-list. And he has become perturbed because people don't seem all that interested. And he has a right to be perturbed.
The majority of the people of this country are so used to constant diversion and entertainment that any post title that doesn't startle them out of their lethargy is passed over for something way more interesting. All this focus on Obama, who is nothing more than an empty-suited sock-puppet, is diverting us from the real culprits. We are over saturated with minutiae that means nothing.
The Robot explains the list:
Well said, Robot!
Hey, how about more government control?
If you like your tax preparer, you can keep your tax preparer. Well, maybe not. We heard of this possible scenario from our tax preparer last year. Government licensing is one of the biggest scams perpetrated on the American public. It's nothing more than legalized stealing. Ask anyone who has ever had a bad haircut how well that occupational licensing worked for them.

And About Emails:
Since Frontier took over from Verizon, my email accounts have been totally whacked. After great assistance from my email provider, I am able to send emails from my private account. However, there were some emails still dumping into Frontier and not being forwarded to my "real" account. So - if you received no answer or a weird answer with an old date, or any of the other myriad of things that have been going wrong, it'sBush's Frontiers fault.
There's much more but I'm still dealing with the left-over flu syndrome thingie and must go rest. Last evening I managed to slither down to the library and grabbed a few more books (can't have too many books) and am headed to the couch to peruse the printed word.
Hubby is also on the upward path to wellness and we are not longer a "two-bucket family."

Why the list?
Because, you need to know who your friends are in government. Likewise, your foes.
These names are taken directly from the Progressive States Network website and are noted as having signed the PSN HealthCare letter supporting ObamaCare.
As such, it is my never so humble opinion that these individuals have no clue as to the limits the Constitution of the United States places on the Federal government and should either reconsider their stance on this issue or lose their office.
ObamaCare is unconstitutional, socialistic and furthers the implementation of and forces a soft tyranny on every American citizen with its overreaching federal intrusion into our lives.
Vote these people out of office. Support their Republican opponents, if available.
Well said, Robot!

Well, this should be fun to watch - Missouri rejects Obamacare. Obama to sue? Couric and her "explosive" video
I wasted five minutes of my day watching the "explosive" video of Katie Couric "mocking" the names of Sarah Palin's sons, thereby "proving" her bias. Folks, this was nothing more than a run-through of her program where, when first reading the names Track and Trig, she questioned where they came up with these names. I would have done the same thing. She is also accused of making fun of Wasilla, when in fact she was trying to ascertain the correct pronunciation - something I wish more TV reporters would do when having to report on a location with an unusual name. And, let's face it, Wasilla does sound funny.
I am in no way implying that Ms Couric was not biased with her reporting of Sarah Palin. To focus on beauty pageants and moose burgers while ignoring Palin's many accomplishments was certainly biased and and meant to show her as "not a serious person." Couric, as well as most every MSM reporter (I refuse to call them journalists), were obviously out to "get" Sarah Palin. The recent Journolist outings made that patently clear.
However, to bandy about this silly video and call it "explosive" and "proof" of bias, makes the right look as silly as the left.

Ten Buck Friday On Saturday! And a Huge Thanks to Bob Belvedere of Camp of the Saints and Other Really, Really Important Stuff...
Thinking I was the only forgetful slob of a blogger, my delight knows no bounds for finding out Mr. Belvedere admitted to allowing Ten Buck Friday to slip by until Saturday. My Catholic guilt is somewhat assuaged and I can return to the land of the living. Thanks, Bob!
My only excuse is the heat (in the 90's), which I know is nothing compared to the temps back east, but I've discovered a painful truth; when you are nearer in age to 65 than 60, the heat is hotter. Waaaay hotter.
Details on Ten Buck Friday and this weeks winner at:
Maggie's Notebook (who I just discovered is a very lovely blond lady)
My best blogger buddy Right Klik (father to the most beautiful baby, evah!) RK also has next weeks nominees posted.
The very handsome Reaganite Republican has even more details.
What can I say about this? republican (small r)Mother is so nice she linked to me just because I linked to someone else. That's what a really nice blogger does when a fellow blogger (moi) is turning out bupkis, doncha know. Not to be missed is her post on Repeal It All! - The Definitive List
For those of you who don't think the Federal Government is out of control, take a gander at her list. It will cause you to have a real "read it and weep" moment.
Kennedy Catherine McCain, daughter of Stacy McCain, was married yesterday. I'm demanding pictures because I love wedding pictures.
Smitty, brilliant sidekick and straight man to Stacy, posted a video which pretty much sums up my feelings exactly. This afternoon I popped on to one of our local TV station sites to get the temperature. Guess what the top headlines were?

Lady Gaga Draws Record Crowd; Watch The Video Millions Are Talking About!

Cleveland Begins Erasing LeBron James' Big Presence
Following all this very important stuff was a blurb about 6 American deaths in Afghanistan. DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM??? We're being constantly manipulated by distractions. Fed with a steady diet of highly sweetened bull, we've become media diabetics headed straight for a deadly coma. Who gives a rats-ass if Mel Gibson calls his girlfriend, mother to his bastard child, a whore. Lady Gaga? Ugh! And honestly, I didn't even know who LeBron James was until a few days ago.
We had better wake up and sooner rather than later...

Smitty, brilliant sidekick and straight man to Stacy, posted a video which pretty much sums up my feelings exactly. This afternoon I popped on to one of our local TV station sites to get the temperature. Guess what the top headlines were?
The Audio Rant That Has Tinsel Town Talking; Listen To Gibson Yourself

Lady Gaga Draws Record Crowd; Watch The Video Millions Are Talking About!
Octopus Picks Winner For World Cup!

Leaking Faucet and Helen Thomas w/ Update
I had planned on dazzling everyone with something or another, but I have a seriously leaking kitchen faucet. Picking up a new one at Lowe's tomorrow. And what exactly does that have to do with Helen Thomas? Nothing.
I'm not going to be very popular when I say what I have to say about Ms. Thomas. I've never been a fan of hers and agree that her statement about the Jews leaving Israel is reprehensible. However, I defend her right to think it and to say it. There is not one single reporter sitting in that White House briefing room that doesn't hold at least one view that runs contrary to what I consider right or does not represent truth.
Trust me on this; there is at least one, if not many, Catholic bashers in that group of people that call themselves journalists, plenty of pro-homosexual "marriage" folks, and dare I say that the bulk of them think ripping a baby from its mother's womb is just peachy keen. Are we to demand they all resign or be fired? As much as I like that idea, we know it isn't going to happen in the real world.
We already know that this administration is throwing Israel under the bus. Heck, O-what's-his-name and his elitist educated-beyond-their-intelligence friends probably need a fleet of buses by now. And these are the people who need to resign, be impeached or, God willing - be voted out of office. If we're lucky, a little jail time would be in order for quite a few of them, too.
In the meantime, I really don't give a rip what that old lady said. You see, she doesn't have to like Jews, because she is an American citizen; we have the right to not like someone or a group of someones. It's as simple as that.

American Thinker: Obama Fails the Test of Office
Thanks to Doug Ross for linking to this wonderful photo essay by El Marco: Prayer Time at the Ground Zero Mosque
American Thinker: Barack Obama: Let Them Eat Tar Balls
The republican Mother has summarized her series in this post and gives links. She has some great articles - well worth reading. Plus - she has some great links to books on-line. I've been wanting to read Gatto's The Underground History of American Education, which is just one of many great links on her sidebar.
In her words:
Stacy McCain is celebrating FOUR MILLION hits on his blog. He's also celebrating Allahpundit mentioning him by name. In his post, Allahpundit Mentions Me By Name ,Stacy has some good advice to and about trolls. As per usual, it is an amazing piece of writing. Both Stacy and his brilliant Baptist side-kick, Smitty (who doesn't suffer from Catholic guilt or Baptist guilt, either) are two of my favorite writers.
Breaking (sort of)
The father of this precious baby girl has had an inappropriate relationship with Andre Bauer and made a full confession.
Reaganite Republican: John Bolton: Israel Must Strike Iran NOW
There's so much more but it's 11:00 pm and I've been working outside all day and have a busy day tomorrow.

I thought it worthwhile to take stock of what I've been writing on so far. I think a lot of these posts will be educational to those who haven't considered how deeply infiltrated the leftists are in our society.
