White House Correspondents’ Dinner...

Obama smacks Trump.  I'm making popcorn...

Obama looking like his usual self at the dinner...

Holy Carp!   Looks like she's ready to swing into verse two of Baby Love.  Nice hair, Moochelle. Butt, doesn't it get tangled in your three pairs of false lashes?

MOTUS is going to have a field day with this.

Anyone else out there tired of looking at her armpits? She's starting to have an uncanny resemblance to Michael Jackson. Just sayin'...

Hot Air had an open thread going during the dinner.  The comments are priceless.

Kingda Ka

Kingda Ka is a roller coaster located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA. It is the world's tallest roller coaster, and was the world's fastest until Formula Rossa opened in November 2010. The train is launched by a hydraulic launch mechanism to 128 miles per hour (206 km/h) in 3.5 seconds.  At the end of the launch track, the train climbs the main top hat tower, reaching a height of 456 feet (139 m). Kingda Ka is 3,118 feet (950 m) long.

It's Friday...

and I have so much to say, but no time to say it.  Sigh...

I watched the royal wedding in real time meaning 1:00 to 6:00 am Pacific time.   Now I know you royal-haters think that's nuts (and you certainly have a right to that opinion.)  But, by gosh - I had fun!  It took three cans of Shasta diet grapefruit and half a bag of Red Vines to see me through the night. Hmmmmmmm, diet soda to wash down Red Vines.

Anyhoo, I'm off to buy a gift for the lovely young lady who I am sponsoring for her Confirmation on May 12th..  I promise to return to snarky commentary when I return.

The "adults" of this country are teaching the kids...

to act like they act.

Students disrupt a school board meeting by shouting and banging on tables.  The problem?  They didn't want a course that taught history from a Mexican perspective to be cut.  How about hitting the library or going on-line for your precious history, you little savages?   Supposedly they couldn't be removed because they were chained together.  No bolt cutters in Tucson??

The brats should have been thrown in jail and suspended from school.

Instead they canceled the meeting and rescheduled it in a bigger place so more students can attend. Have we gone mad in this country?

Blogoversary Alert...

Spot on Quote of the Day... w/ Update

came from across the breakfast table.

"If it's real news, it will come back."

...in response to my complaint that my Google Reader's news section was over 500 items in just a few hours.  In frustration the delete button was employed and the entire thing hit the recycle bin.

Update:

Hubby really wants me to make sure that you all understand the above brilliance was from him and not some boyfriend or such sitting across from me at breakfast.  He tried to make a bit of a joke about it, but I could tell his fragile male ego was bruised and battered and not about the boyfriend (he demands that any boyfriends acquired should be rich), but about the quote.

So - just to be very, very clear:  It was my brilliant husband who is responsible for the quote of the day - and I thank him.

And just in case someone out there doesn't think I'm a serious person, allow me to confirm their opinion:  I will be in front of my TV at 2am PDT on Friday to watch the royal wedding.

Obama rendered speechless and goes into deep mourning.

Doug Ross Starts New Site: Trending Right...

and I couldn't be more pleased.

I really don't like sifting through the stuff at Memeorandum.

I'll let Doug tell how it works in his words:
The idea behind it is simple: what if you could monitor social networks for the hottest stories among center-right and conservative news sites? TR combines a "real-time" dashboard (so you can see what stories are rising and falling) along with the most popular stories for the last 24 hours, seven days and 30 days.
I've already spent a bunch of time poking around there today and I'm impressed.

To continue the Easter season, let's bash some more Christians with the Catholics topping the list...

it's actually quite amusing.

I don't spend much time being "outraged."  I do spend time being amused when the usual Easter onslaught of vitriol and nonsense aimed at Christians and in particular, at Catholics, hits the airwaves.

This morning The Blaze posted a story of "outrage" entitled "Child Denied First Communion Because of His Cerebral Palsy."

The original story from KSAT in San Antonio was entitled:

Child Denied First Communion
Family Of Floresville 8-Year-Old Fighting For Holy Sacrament

Notice how the title at The Blaze morphed and now says something different from the original.  The fact is, the pastor had decided that the young boy is profoundly developmentally delayed, and would not have the faintest clue that he was receiving the body and blood of Christ.  The boy is not being denied communion because he has cerebral palsy. There are many, many people with cerebral palsy who are capable of understanding the doctrines concerning the Holy Eucharist and receive regularly.

For some reason, the combox at The Blaze is not functioning properly so I checked out the comments at KSAT.  As expected, they quickly dissolved into a bunch of non-Catholics deciding how the Church should be run, and also as expected, then progressed to the terrible priest sex abuse scandal.

Why should this matter to you?

First, the sensationalism of the title posted at The Blaze points up a growing concern.  Bloggers and self-identified "news" sources have been becoming more and more overt in their quest to make their hit counters spin like an electric meter on a hot day.  Nothing wrong with that on the face of it.  After all, if you write the best content in the world and no one reads it, does it have an impact?  But if you distort the content with a misleading title or with improperly vetted material, then you become part of the problem.

Second, what should be of interest to everyone is the following two comments.  Comment number one points out (correctly) that the problems with sexual abuse of minors is rampant in many other segments of society.  Read carefully how another person responded.
Comment:  Rose, there are fewer problems with Catholic priests than their are with other religious leaders, teachers, police officers, or psychologists. So why do you pick on priests?

Response: That is a bunch of bull and you know it. Take your head out of the sand and just read the news. We pick on priests because for many, many years they have been picking on and abusing young children and it looks like they are not going to stop as long at the Pope does not stop it.
Okay, I admit to making it easy by highlighting the obvious.  Just read the news?  Because as we all know, the "news" doesn't lie.  We could line up facts and figures to back up the truth of the first comment above, and it would make no difference to the person who responded.  Because the "news" told him otherwise. And that my friends, is a microcosm of what is going on in this country.  And that is not amusing...

Sad news... w/Update

in Idaho.

Lucky Friday miner didn’t survive

Lucky Friday miner Larry Marek was killed in a mine collapse on April 15, Hecla Mining Co. announced this morning.
The Coeur d’Alene company has had crews working 24 hours a day since that collapse trying to reach Marek in hopes he survived the cave-in and was trapped behind a massive rock pile.
Without detailing why rescuers believe Marek is dead, Hecla said in an announcement early this morning that “we are heartbroken to report that we now believe Larry was under the fall of ground when it occurred and is deceased.” read the rest

BOISE, Idaho – The operator of a northern Idaho silver mine says workers have recovered the body of a miner who was trapped when a tunnel collapsed nine days ago.

Some helpful pet advice everyone should know...

How to Give a Cat a Pill
(how to give dog one is at the bottom)

1.  Pick up cat and cradle it in the crook of your left
arm as if holding a baby.

Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand.  As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth.  Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.

 2.  Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa.

Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.

 3.   Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.

4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm, holding rear paws tightly with left hand.

Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger.  Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.

5.  Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe.

Call spouse in from the garden.

6.  Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees,
     hold front and rear paws.

Ignore low growls emitted by cat.  Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth.  Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.

7.   Retrieve cat from curtain rail.

Get another pill from foil wrap.  Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtins.  Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.

8.  Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with
head just visible from below armpit.

Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw

9.  Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans and drink one beer to take taste away.   Apply band-aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.

10.   Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed.

Get another pill.  Open another beer.  Place cat in cupboard, and close door onto neck,  to leave head showing.  Force mouth open with dessert spoon.  Flick pill down throat with elastic band.
Get another pill.  Open another beer.  Place cat in cupboard,

11.  Fetch screw driver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges.  Drink beer.  Fetch bottle of scotch.  Pour shot, drink.

Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last
tetanus shot.  Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect.
Toss back another shot.  Throw tee-shirt away and fetch new
one from bedroom.

12.   Call fire department to retrieve the damn cat from the top of the  tree across the road.  Apologize to neighbor who crashed into
fence while swerving to avoid cat.

Take last pill from foil wrap.

13.  Using heavy-duty pruning gloves from shed, tie the little  *&/*%'s  front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bid tightly to leg of dining table.  Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of filet steak.  Be rough about it.  Hold head vertically and pour two pints of water down throat to wash pill down.

14.  Consume remainder of scotch.  Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room.  Sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye.  Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.

15.  Arrange for SPCA to collect mutant cat from hell and call local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.

How To Give A Dog A Pill

1.  Wrap it in bacon.

2.  Toss it in the air.

3.  All done!

Best seed sprouter I've ever used...

it's so good I'm getting an extra one (or two)

After the past few attempts at seed sprouting in a jar, I once again went on the hunt for a good seed sprouter.  My quest led me to Amazon and the Easy Sprout.  I purchased it based on the many positive reviews and expected to receive what appeared to be a pretty simple apparatus.  What I got is an engineering marvel.

I've already grown a full crop of mung sprouts and am so impressed I'm buying two more of these cool little gizmos so I can have multiple crops growing at the same time.

Most seeds need no rinsing after their initial soak and if you do rinse it's very simple.  Air circulates down between the outer and inner containers, swoops up through the perforated bottom of the inner container, ensuring fresh sprouts.  There's an insert to pop in if you're doing those tiny little alfalfa or broccoli seeds.

The Sprout People  also sell them and have posted many helpful videos on YouTube on how to use them properly  - and we thank them.   They also carry a HUGE selection of seeds and beans for sprouting as well as great info on their site.

I purchased mine from Amazon and will order two more from them for $12.49 which leaves me .02 shy of free super-saver postage (now you know that pricing is on purpose.)   Trust me - I can find something else to buy.

Ayn Rand and Atlas Shrugged...

not always what it seems.

While it appears that the country is on some sort of  "I adore Ayn Rand" movement, the truth of who she was and what she believed is not always fully comprehended.

To begin with, Ayn Rand, as documented by many of her biographers, was a bit of a tyrant in her dealing with others, which is fairly inconsistent with what she espouses.  And certainly her personal life could not be held to a high moral standard.  Setting aside her morals (since who of us is perfectly moral) it can be said that she lived what she preached; a life of rational self-interest.

So what's wrong with rational self-interest?  Well, on its face, it's an irrational concept.  In order to seek one's own self-interest, you must also unselfishly allow others to do the same.  Rather contradictory, don't you think?

That's only the beginning of some of the problems regarding her philosophy.  Ms. Rand believes that "existence exists" - a concept that's impossible.  I can exist and you can exist, but existence itself cannot exist. Existence has no properties.  You cannot describe existence, you can only describe or give properties to something that actually exists. When you say "existence exists", you are actually saying nothing exists, which is a form of nihilism.

To put it in simple terms, Ms. Rand is essentially saying we all should do what's best for ourselves, and that we have a right to live in such a manner.  The problem is, sooner or later my rights are going to bang right up against someone else's rights.  The only way to resolve that little conflict is to add the caveat, "as long as what you do doesn't harm another."  But wouldn't we need to practice unselfishness for that to be workable?

Insight posted a fine article a few days ago,  "Ayn Rand's philosophy is unlivable, either by her or anyone else." that is well worth a read.

And my buddy Mark (who won't be going to see Atlas Shrugged) has this to say:
Part of the problem with politics on the Right nowadays is that conservatism is being conflated with all sort of ideologies that are not consonant with a conservative approach to politics. A weak form of libertarianism is hard enough to fit into a conservative approach to politics, but in the the form that Ayn Rand proposed it is pure battery acid to any understanding of community, tradition and ordered liberty.  Rand's elevation of selfishness into a virtue rather than a vice is profoundly at odds with the conservative vision of shared life in a community. read the rest
Well said, Mark.

So what's going on with conservatives who are delving into Ayn Rand's philosophy, and getting all starry eyed?  It's really quite simple.  All of us, myself included, tend to cherry pick.  We see something that fits our world view, make a grab for it, and hang on for dear life.  Snippets of Ms. Rand's philosophy, retrieved mainly from her novels, resonate with the conservatives of this country and they're willing to overlook the parts that cause alarm.  After all, it was Nathanial Branden, her lover and colleague, and others, who really did the bulk of the codifying of Objectivism.

"Atlas Shrugged" is playing in Spokane right now, and I'm quite certain it will show up at the theater in Coeur d' Alene.  While I wouldn't bother to drive to Spokane (it is 20 miles, after all), I will probably see it when it hits Coeur d' Alene - mostly out of curiosity.

Did the Lefties Boo the National Anthem in Wisconsin...

it doesn't appear to be so.

And yet this meme is rocketing through the blogoshphere.  I saw it at  Gateway Pundit, who got it from Fox Nation, and The Blaze, who to their credit updated to include Ann Althouse's assessment of the situation.  Ms Althouse, an attorney and law professor who lives in Madison, was at the rally and gave a different take on the situation.
I was right behind the Tea Party crowd amid anti-Tea Party protesters who were making a lot of noise trying to drown out whatever was coming from the podium. They were, in fact, succeeding in their purpose so well that they could not hear when the national anthem began. read the rest

Lady Gaga irrelevant, talentless, and boring...

yep!

I admit to getting drawn into this story by the headline on The Blaze,  ‘I’m in Love With Judas:‘ Pop Star Lady Gaga’s New Song Sparks Outrage From Catholics, Critics when I generally hold to the rule of not promoting anyone whose activities tend to lower the moral fiber of our country.

The thing is, Catholics are not "outraged."  Many Catholics, indeed Christians of any stripe, are often disgusted and saddened that another disgruntled apostate receives any sort of attention, in the same way we may wonder why a person would pay big bucks to sit in a room and be insulted by a druggie like Charlie Sheen, or pay any attention to the myriad of Hollywood types who flaunt their crude and classless behavior.

Every day there is breathless reporting on what Joy Behar, Bill Maher, or what some other vile, ignorant person has said or done.  Guess what?  We give them free publicity and line their pockets with more money.  If people stopped paying attention to these creeps, they would perhaps slink back to the cave from which they crawled.

Listen to what Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, has to say in an interview with Hollywood Life:
“I find Gaga to be increasingly irrelevant. She thinks she is going to be groundbreaking. She is trying to ripoff Christian idolatry to shore up her talentless, mundane and boring performances. Another ex-Catholic whose head is turned around. This is a stunt. People have real talent, and then there is Lady Gaga. Is this the only way to jet up her performance? This isn’t random, we are getting closer to Holy Week and Easter.”

So is the Catholic League upset that Gaga will play Mary Magdalene? “Maybe if she had more talent we’d be more offended. She has gone to the well too many times,” Bill said. read the rest
That doesn't sound too "outraged" to me.

Lucky Friday Mine...

in Mullan, Idaho.

Mullan, Idaho
Please pray for the trapped miner at the Lucky Friday Mine just up the road from us a piece.  A remote-controlled digging machine just arrived to help with the rescue efforts.
AP  Officials said the machine should be underground by Sunday evening, but it was unclear how soon the process of reassembling the device would be finished or when rescuers would be able to put it to work.
The roof of a tunnel at the Lucky Friday Mine collapsed Friday as two brothers were working, trapping one of the men but the other was able to escape, according to officials and family members. more

Also pray for the repose of the souls who lost their lives in the terrible storms in the south.

And a reminder from Mighty Mom:   Please pray for all the families of West Texas that are fleeing the fires! We've had 20-50mph winds over the last several days that have only made fighting the fires harder!

Joe Miller of Alaska speaks in Post Falls at Tax Day Rally...

and I'm here to tell you - that man is on fire!

Welcome Joe Miller twitter followers.  We love Joe in Idaho!

Waiting to greet us at the event center in Post Falls was a small group of protesting teachers or, as Tom Luna, our state superintendent of schools, who recently managed to get sweeping school reform passed, calls them, "my fan club."

Notice, unlike the ugly screaming harridans in Wisconsin, Idaho's teachers are pretty, perky, polite, smiling, and act like ladies. Because that's how we do things in Idaho - thank you very much!

I'm not much good at estimating crowd size, but about 2,000 happy and energetic tea-party folks showed up to hear Tom Luna and Joe Miller speak.

Tom Luna did an outstanding job of explaining the recent school reform legislation (introduced by my friend Bob Nonini) and passed just a few weeks ago.

Idaho looks at sweeping school-reform plan

Idaho moves forward with school reform...

Tom Luna
While the self-identified elitist types of Wisconsin were trashing the capital building, cursing, breaking windows, and trying to intimidate elected officials, Idaho was quietly moving forward with sweeping reforms.  These people of the upper mid-west (i.e: Minnesota and Wisconsin)  think Idahoans are a bunch of red-neck bitter-clingers?  They best re-think that position.

Joe Miller was an exceptional speaker and even managed to give a big shout out to our number one "tourist attraction" as he called it - Dave Smith Motors.  Alaskans come here by the hundreds to buy cars and drive them back to Alaska.

After the rally, several of us stayed behind and were able to spend about an hour chatting with Joe and his beautiful wife, Kathleen.  It was difficult to take any decent pictures inside the building, so I've substituted a picture of Kathleen that I found on line.  The one photo I took of her didn't turn very well, and she's much too nice to have such a horrible picture posted.

Joe at the Post Falls rally

  Yesterday, Justin left this comment:
Justin said...
Hey Adrienne: I know it's pretty early still, but did you get the sense that the Millers have intentions of pursuing a political future? Admittedly, I don't know a lot about Joe, but I think he got a raw deal in that Murkowski showdown and I'd love to see him get the chance to show the people what he's capable of.
Well Justin,  Joe isn't going anywhere soon.  Like Palin, he's not easily cowed.  And as to Murkowski pulling a fast one?  Without giving details (which wouldn't be right at this time) allow me to say, "that saga isn't over yet."  So be watching for more news on that stolen election.

I spent most of my time with Kathleen because she, like me, could talk to a fence post.  Their favored person to run would be Jim DeMint, but they backed up what has been said about his not running.

When Kathleen was asked if they saw anyone in the republican field that was a "standout" for nomination, her answer was a simple, "No."  That's not good news for us.  At the mention of The Donald we received a hearty roll of the eyes.

The most shocking, but not surprising, things we discussed was how nasty the "good ol' boy" network operates in DC and how horribly they were treated by their own party.  It's not hard to understand when you realize that the Millers are a happily married couple with eight children who "cling to their religion."

Speaking of clinging.  Check out our next rally:

Tea Party Patriots of North Idaho Tax Day Rally Tonight...

Looking forward to meeting Tom Luna tonight.  Tom, along with Rep. Bob Nonini,  were the driving force behind our extensive school reform in Idaho - and we thank them!

What in hell is "gay history"

Welcome Creative Minority Readers.
Help me drive my loony lefty trolls crazy - leave a comment ;-)

Each day the sun comes up and I say to myself, "surely the loony left can't possibly come up with one more crazy thing to do."  Guess what?  Everyday they manage to do just that.

CA Senate bill mandates gay history in schools
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people would be added to the lengthy list of social and ethnic groups that public schools must include in social studies lessons under a landmark bill passed Thursday by the California Senate.
If the bill is adopted by the state Assembly and signed by Gov. Jerry Brown, California would become the first state to require the teaching of gay history. source

And people send their kids to these "schools?"

I love the last paragraph of the AP article:
California law already requires schools to cover the contributions to the state and nation of women, African Americans, Mexican Americans, entrepreneurs, Asian Americans, European Americans, American Indians and labor. source
So now we have to acknowledge contributions to history by people who have deviant sex?  What happens when you have a homosexual-Asian/Black?  What the hell category do you put them in?

Paul Ryan: Obama's speech was dramatically inaccurate...

and we're surprised why??

Hey, Barky.  This is what an adult sounds like.

Archbishop Chaput

from his April 8 keynote address for the University of Notre Dame Right to Life Club's spring lecture series:

"There is no such thing as morally neutral legislation or morally neutral public policy.  Every law is the public expression of what somebody thinks we ought to do. The question that matters is this: Which moral convictions of which somebodies are going to shape our country's political and cultural future?"

The answer is obvious. If you and I as citizens don't do the shaping, then somebody else will. That is the nature of a democracy. A healthy democracy depends upon people of conviction working hard to advance their ideas in the public square respectfully and peacefully, but vigorously and without apologies."

"Most people root their moral convictions in their religious beliefs, for what people believe about God shapes what they think about the nature of the human person and our idea of a just society. And if a citizen fails to bring his moral beliefs into our country's political conversation and work for them publicly and energetically, he said, the defeat of his own beliefs will be ensured."

"We act on what we really believe."  If we don't act on our beliefs, then we don't really believe them."

"If we don't remain true in our public actions to what we claim to believe in our personal lives, then we only deceive ourselves, because God certainly isn't fooled: He sees who and what we are. God sees that our duplicity is really a kind of cowardice, and our lack of courage does a lot more damage than simply wounding our own integrity; it also saps the courage of other good people who really do try to publicly witness what they believe. And that compounds the sin of dishonesty and the sin of injustice."

Hey Yahoo - since when is the Daily Beast considered news?

The first thing I saw on Yahoo this morning listed under "news" was:  Glenn Beck's Toxic Legacy written by Howard Kurtz of the Daily Beast (no link on purpose.)  Just exactly how can an opinion piece, which was far more toxic than anything Glenn Beck ever said or did, be considered "news."

While the majority of comments support Glenn Beck, the one that really jumped out at me was:
He's definitely a descendent of one of the many pig farmers the English sent to the States when convicted of crime/s, usually petty theft and beastality. He shoud go on 'Who do you think you are' it would be confirmed I'm sure. He looks a lot like Gringrich, Limburgh and some of the other fat- faced men in Congress who resemble pigs, I'm sure they are all related.
How's that for toxic?

What does Oboma know that we don't?

The speech-weary people of this country are going to hear yet another teleprompter reading from the president on Wednesday.  According to reports, he's going to reveal, in no detail, his most recent budget, which means that his first one was all a joke...or something.

From WSJ:
In a speech Wednesday, Mr. Obama will propose cuts to entitlement programs, including Medicare and Medicaid, and changes to Social Security, a discussion he has largely left to Democrats and Republicans in Congress. He also will call for tax increases for people making over $250,000 a year, a proposal contained in his 2012 budget, and changing parts of the tax code he thinks benefit the wealthy. source
While I completely agree that all these social programs have been nothing more than Ponzi schemes since their inception, real reform doesn't take place by just cutting benefits.  Seniors, including myself, have subsidized these programs their entire working careers, and are then forced to participate in Medicare for which we pay a monthly premium.  Think about this;  if Medicare and Medicaid are such a drain on the aspirations of the big spenders in Washington, then exactly how would Obamacare solve that problem?  It won't - and everyone with more than two black-eyed peas rattling around in their head knows this.

Wednesday, he will again bring up the "waste and fraud" (well, duh!) in Medicare.  Of course, Obamacare, with it's attendant 159 new departments, will have no waste and fraud.  If you believe that, you need to start riding a unicorn to work to save money on gasoline, which has hit well over $4.00 a gallon in some areas of the country.

Paul Ryan's budget proposes long-term fixes to Medicare and Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) says we're  “Pulling the rug out from under seniors."   “A path to poverty for America’s seniors and children,” claims House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).  I guess it's better to just cut the programs rather than reform them.  That makes perfect sense.

I've heard no reports of eliminating unconstitutional departments like the EPA, Education, Interior, and, God forbid, Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the country. Instead on Wednesday, we'll hear about the "evil rich", and how they are the cause of all our problems, when we know that even if we confiscated every dime they had it wouldn't make the tiniest dent in the escalating cost of running this country.

He'll promise to protect the "middle class" by not raising their taxes. Really?  Really?   When was the last time Obama ever went to a grocery store or filled the gas tank of a car?  Folks - the higher prices we are paying are taxes and we, the middle class, are paying them.

So what's the driving force behind telling the American people that Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security have to be cut and taxes raised on those evil rich people?  Why is he willing to anger the majority of the voting people?  The fact is, we don't know anything about the forces pulling the strings in this government, and probably never will.  One thing I do know is this;  the 500 or so people in Washington, DC who dictate to the rest of us, down to the tiniest detail, including how we should live our lives, do not care about us or this country.  All they really care about is that their gravy train keeps chugging down the tracks.
