I admit to getting drawn into this story by the headline on The Blaze, ‘I’m in Love With Judas:‘ Pop Star Lady Gaga’s New Song Sparks Outrage From Catholics, Critics when I generally hold to the rule of not promoting anyone whose activities tend to lower the moral fiber of our country.
The thing is, Catholics are not "outraged." Many Catholics, indeed Christians of any stripe, are often disgusted and saddened that another disgruntled apostate receives any sort of attention, in the same way we may wonder why a person would pay big bucks to sit in a room and be insulted by a druggie like Charlie Sheen, or pay any attention to the myriad of Hollywood types who flaunt their crude and classless behavior.
Every day there is breathless reporting on what Joy Behar, Bill Maher, or what some other vile, ignorant person has said or done. Guess what? We give them free publicity and line their pockets with more money. If people stopped paying attention to these creeps, they would perhaps slink back to the cave from which they crawled.
Listen to what Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, has to say in an interview with Hollywood Life:
That doesn't sound too "outraged" to me.“I find Gaga to be increasingly irrelevant. She thinks she is going to be groundbreaking. She is trying to ripoff Christian idolatry to shore up her talentless, mundane and boring performances. Another ex-Catholic whose head is turned around. This is a stunt. People have real talent, and then there is Lady Gaga. Is this the only way to jet up her performance? This isn’t random, we are getting closer to Holy Week and Easter.”
So is the Catholic League upset that Gaga will play Mary Magdalene? “Maybe if she had more talent we’d be more offended. She has gone to the well too many times,” Bill said. read the rest

I agree with all you mentioned, and add she is not even a treat to look at.
Randy - she is so strange looking. Has she gone "under the knife?"
Thanks. Donohue is so right on, as always.
I do agree; She is another one seeking to gain fame by attempting outrage. However it is rather difficult to be outraged by any attempt to discredit religious stories proven many times over as boring and irrelevant. Stating the obvious in a outlandish manner?!... it is still nothing more than belaboring the obvious.
