So what did I do yesterday? While doing my morning routine of journaling, checking my agenda for the day, prayer, and spiritual reading, I actually wrote "yuck" next to one of the items on my schedule for the day. It was defrosting the large upright freezer in the barn - a task I'm obviously not fond of doing.
By the time I finished my spiritual reading, I thought to myself, "What the hell is wrong with you? There are people who don't even own a freezer packed with all sorts of delicious food. And you think defrosting it is a hardship?"
After re-framing the job in my mind as a privilege I was able to whip it out in record time (mainly since I discovered years ago using a shop vac made short work of the ice and water.) And, guess what? It wasn't "yuck."

What I remember was how the masses decimated the toilet paper aisle. We practice what many scornfully call "prepping", albeit in a minor way, so we had plenty of potty paper and ended up helping out those who did not.
I have still not recovered from seeing masked up people. I never will. Masks are nothing more than a capitulation to evil and it appears some people will be wearing them for the rest of their lives. If that's their choice - so be it.
Bill Whittle calls this past year a drill to see how far the government can push the populace into acquiescing to their onerous mandates and demands. Turns out it was pretty damn easy. The lesson here, my precious poodles, is be prepared for the next "horror virus." Prepared is the operative word!

Looking back through the history of even your own lifetime, I believe you can envision millions of smart people looking at our cultural landscape and saying "That ain't gonna work". We have fewer and fewer of those people around now than when I was a kid. Conclusion: We will be trampled by the ignorant masses of people of all ages in our lifetimes.
I spend no effort or energy trying to hold it back. I am strictly in self-defense mode where currently in my life and environment the risks are very low that I'll have to deploy a weapon. Hope it stays that way but the country as a whole is going down the toilet purely because people do not have accurate information with which to defend themselves, their communities and their country. (See Yuri Brezmanov) As Bill says it is the only thing that matters. We could trade all other issues for it and be a million times better off because educated people will solve all those other problems very quickly. Stupid misinformed people have zero chance to fix anything.

The country won't cease to exist because Joe Biden, or pick any democrat, gets elected to the white house, it will be because not enough people rejected it happening. America will cease to exist with the next democrat majority. It took a long trip downhill with the radical moslem administration and while it's coming back to some extent it won't reach the point it started at.

Conservative students at Portland State University claim that a classmate spat on them while they hosted a “Capitalism vs. Socialism” display on Thanksgiving Day.
The event, which was co-hosted by the PSU College Republicans and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapters, sought to contrast the material benefits of capitalism with the poverty created by socialism in the context of competing Thanksgiving feasts.
One table, emblazoned with the words “This is your Thanksgiving on capitalism,” featured a table full of fake fruit, a turkey, a gold bust and coins, sunglasses, drink cozies, and buttons stating “Big Government Sucks” and “Free Markets Free People.”
In contrast, another table, labeled “This is your Thanksgiving on socialism,” featured a handful of spiders and a single pear, all presided over by a skeleton leaning back in a chair.
Edward Mentrum, President of PSU TPUSA and organizer of the display, told Campus Reform that the event was intended to “stir a discussion on campus about capitalism and socialism,” and “make a clear statement to showcase the stark differences between socialism and capitalism. “A lot of people are tired of the socialist's ideological monopoly on campus, and they're ready for a change,” Mentrum explained. “Far too many people on campus are afraid to speak up, so we want to change that.”

I just received my third essential oil diffuser. This one would make a great Christmas present and I already have several people on my small list who will be receiving one.
During the past week at Costco they had $20.00 off a "high end" diffuser. I was excited - until I got it home. Once in a very blue moon, Costco drops the ball. The diffuser, which had $20.00 off bringing the price to $39.95, is being returned tomorrow. I immediately purchased this one for the second time and had it delivered in one day.
Things are slowly returning to normal around here after my husband's hasty and late night hernia surgery. But guess who gets to continue doing the heavy lifting for the foreseeable future? I'm going to have shoulders like a linebacker in a few more weeks. (Note from Mr. Adrienne: She already has shoulders like a linebacker, can whip my ass at arm wrestling, comes equipped with Italian killer instincts, and is definitely someone you don't want to tangle with in a dark alley. I've been terrified of her for close to 40 years.)

I've never felt that a perfect storm of civil unrest was seething on the horizon until just recently. I was a Trump supporter from the moment he rode down that escalator with his wife to announce his run for president. I voted for him. I still support him and think he's doing a great job, especially considering his job has been Sisyphean.

Lately I've been reading quite a few novels taking place around WWII. As I was cruising the Woman's March on Washington Facecrap page, and witnessed their moaning and groaning of the wonderful Muslims being unfairly picked on and their defense of the religion of peace, my disgust for these self destructive, un-American, pussy hat wearing feminists knows no bounds. These same women defend every sexual perversity, abortion on demand (paid for by the taxpayer), and everything that is ugly, demeaning, and vulgar.
Not one of these women have faced the hardships that women experienced during WW I and WW II. They know nothing of the brave women who drove ambulances, provided comfort and nursing care to the men with missing limbs and horrific facial injuries. Instead, they live in fear that they won't get free birth control.
Can you, in your wildest imagination, picture a bunch of people standing around London forming little hearts with their hands to ward off the Nazi's as they dropped bombs and strafed their homes?

Tomorrow the electors meet to cast their votes for Trump. Reports are that they are receiving death threats and the state of Pennsylvania is supposedly supplying the electors with armed police protection. I don't recall the Obama electors needing police protection, do you?
