you don't need to ignore national, but you do need to dial in on local.

For now, forget about this latest diversion of impeachment.  Trump is not going anywhere and he will be reelected with the largest margin in American history.  

Ignoring the local in favor of national is one of my biggest faults.

I tend to focus on national politics while the commie rat finks are destroying cities and towns from sea to shining sea.

We're beating back the progs in beautiful Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls, Idaho right now for at least the second time.

Now, what follows in info that you need to have.

Is it going to take a bit of time and commitment?

Yes!

But you really must educate yourself to what is going on.

First up is the presentation by Tom DeWeese that I attended on September 17th on Agenda 21 or 30 (different name, same crap.)

The names change, but the threat is real to your family and community. Tom DeWeese lays it all out, speaking in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on Constitution Day September 17, 2019. He lays out the wrenching transformation of America occurring before our very eyes, and what we CAN and MUST do about it.

I'm pretty conversant on Agenda 21, but I did learn a bit about NGO's and outside money pouring into communities.  You will too.  Be wary when your city council tells you something is "locally driven."  It rarely is. 

Also, spend some time Googling "sustainable development key words."  It will lead you to a gaggle of commie sites and what their plans are for you.  It's not pretty.



Next up is Alex Newman, author of “Crimes of the Educators: How Utopians Are Using Government Schools to Destroy America's Children.”

It's a must watch for parents and grandparents who are concerned about their children in view of the recent ridiculous protests by children on "climate change", drag queen story hours, and the ramped up sex education indoctrination.


You don't have to take my word for what's going on.  After all - who am I?

How about you spend some time at the United Nations site on "Sustainable Development"?   They tell you exactly what they're up to because they know that most people will not pay one bit of attention.

Churchill: The Gathering Storm...

is waiting for me.

I plan on reading the entire 6 volume set about WWII.  Our local library has the entire set and The Gathering Storm is awaiting my attention.

Since we are witnesses to our very own "gathering storm", I thought it important to learn more about the beginnings of WWII.  History does have a way of repeating itself. 

I'm in the habit of looking up books I plan to read on Amazon and reading the reviews.  Usually I stick to the 5-star and 1-star reviews and judge accordingly.

I found this 1-star review of The Gathering Storm rather hilarious:

Too many details are making this book quite boring. I believe a reader is not interested that much in so many detals, for instance for the operations in Norway, but more in the general points that will make the book easy and intereting to read. Probably this book might be of interest for people and experts who deal with history, but not that much for commercial reader. Seems that Mr. Churchill want to emphasize his role and his predictions about the beginning of WWII.

This review is peevish, small and narrow-minded. This great work is not light and mindless entertainment. Churchill never "dumbed down" his books. I disagree that the Norway campaign was unneeded detail. Britain's continued existence depended on its ability to contain the Germans submarine fleets and bases in Norway in the hands of the Germans greatly increased their ability to protect their submarine pens on their northern coast. Hitler and Churchill both understood this, and acted on it. Anyone who wishes to avoid detail should read the greatly condensed version of this monumental work.

Maggie, proprietress of Maggie's Notebook, has put together another wonderful post on Agenda 21.  I admire her tenacious research and if you're not up to speed on Agenda 21, she has further articles linked at the bottom on this newest one.

Since we live on five acres and I see bits and pieces of this creeping into our North Idaho paradise, I've been following this closely.  If you live in a city or suburb, the impact will be just as devastating - if not more so.

I find it amusing that I have commie relatives who tout the whole saving the earth garbage when they don't even own a houseplant.

On the other hand, we bought a house located on a barren 5-acre plot which was 100% covered with noxious weeds (can you say knapweed?)  Together we planted close to 200 trees, 150 shrubs, installed a veggie garden, meditation garden, cutting garden, and started a daylily nursery.

So who's really helping the environment? 

Personal Notes on Owning a Cat

When you live in the country and own a cat, it is inevitable that other cats are attracted to your property.  Our little kitty, Erica, who weighs in at a mighty 6 lbs on her fat days, is a fierce protector of her domain.

This morning we were alerted to the presence of a foreign cat when our little doggie erupted by the back slider.  There's a few rather large bully cats (at least 12 to 15 lbs), who like to cavort in our backyard.

Erica was having none of that and I spied our brave little girl, tail puffed up to the size of a raccoon, stalking the big bully cat ready to do battle to protect her turf.  I ran out and shooed the bully out of the yard.

I wonder if I would ever be that brave?

Why am I not surprised?

Have you heard of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)? It would be wise if you learned about them because their long-term plan is to run the world, and the UN’s Agenda 21 is how they expect to get control. You can start by reading about them at Wikipedia or at the WBCSD home page.

The Wikipedia link tells us who some of the players are: General Motors, Dupont, 3M, Nestle's, Coca-Cola, Sony, BP, Royal Dutch Shell, Unilever, Bank of America, and now we learn that Monsanto has decided to become a member. read the rest at Asylum Watch

My comments: 

This is the company that won't allow farmers to save seeds.  If a farmer buys  GMO (genetically modified organism) seeds from Monsanto, they must sign an agreement not to save seeds.  I guess that means the farmer is only renting the plants they grow.  By Monsanto's reasoning, they developed the seed, the farmer buys the seed, grows the plant on his land, but doesn't really "own" the plant because he can't use any seed produced.

If you dare to break the agreement, they will squash you like the little bug (no pun intended) they think you are.  Over the years, they have brought lawsuits against many farmers and have generally won.  My guess, and it's only a guess because I have not read the court cases, is Monsanto won on contract law.  If the farmer signed the contract, then he is bound to uphold the terms. 

These GMO seeds are already crossing with non-GMO plants.  I predict, due to my knowledge of hybridization and my life-long gardening, that this will prove to be a disaster in the future.

 Imagine, if you will, a world where nothing you grow will produce seed that is usable.  Most hybrid plants will not reproduce true to form.  If you save the seeds from the hybrid tomatoes you purchased at a store and try and grow the seeds the following year, don't count on eating any tomatoes.

While there are many people interested in saving heirloom seeds such as Seed Saver's Exchange,  the fact remains that in time all crops will be contaminated by GMO's.  The outcome is easily forecast.  Soon, only a very few huge agribusinesses will control what you eat.  Sound great?  I don't think so.

How about those Round-Up ready crops?  These plants have a  glyphosate (generic name for Round-Up) gene.  This allows farmers to spray their crops with glyphosate and only kill the weeds.  The upside is, the farmer doesn't have to till as often, which damages the soil composition.  But, the real danger is how many undesirable plants, at least in the world of farmers
,  are very quickly adapting and becoming glyphosate resistant or immune.   I've noticed our very invasive knapweed becoming more and more resistant to 2-4-D (Weed-Be-Gone.)

Don't misunderstand what I am saying.  The prudent use of herbicides is a good thing.  I use plenty of glyphosate myself.   The key word here is "prudent."  The misuse of anything is never a good thing and can lead to unintended consequences.  The spraying of hundreds of thousands of acres with glyphosate is not a good or prudent thing to do.

Now it's time to think, observe, and try and sort it all out.

While being distracted by a myriad of things happening, it might be a good idea to step back from the trees, take a look at the forest, and try to put things in a semblance of order.

The Insider has a rather alarming post up.  Is it true?  I don't know.  Is it plausible?  Most assuredly.  I try not to be one of those people who say, "It couldn't happen here" (whatever "it" happens to be.)  History as far back as is documented says otherwise.

I know after watching that you'll say, "But I'd never do that."  Really?  Over the years when I've traveled to my home state of Minnesota, the conformity of the rabid liberal opinions have always puzzled me.  Most of these people have resided in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area their entire lives, and indeed, for many generations.  When you are completely surrounded by people who think a certain way, the temptation to buck the tide will probably be almost nonexistent.

Would I be a liberal if I had not escaped from Minnesota when I was 17 years old?  I'd like to think not, but the truth is "probably."

• The possibility of drones filling the skies where you live.
• The constant and recent drumbeat of gun control.
• A country pushing 17 trillion dollars in debt with no let up in spending in the foreseeable future.
• A public school system designed to indoctrinate rather than teach.
• The almost complete breakdown of the American family.  Close to 50% babies born today are illegitimate and do not have a father in the home.
• Abortion used as birth control. 
• The "jamming" methods used by homosexuals to further their agenda (it's working quite well, by the way.) 
• Staggering unemployment numbers.
• Record number of people receiving food stamps and disability payouts. 
• The looming threat of Obamacare.
• The infiltration of the churches by Alinsky's "social justice" doctrine. 
• A "news" media unwilling to report the news honestly. 

Today at American Thinker, Ed Lasky does a good job of putting a happy face on the possibility of the GOP finding their way out of the forest.   I don't think the evidence is really in favor of his happier outcome.  Are we to ignore what the evidence is saying?  And what exactly are we to do about this state of affairs?

I really have no idea (my husband has interjected that he thinks I do have an idea - maybe so, but I think everyone should think this through for themselves without my puny input), therefore I would like to hear what you have to say after pondering the available evidence.

While Obama and the first woman sup on lobster and arugula, take trips to the beach in 24 vehicle motorcades, and hobnob with the hoi-polloi, we in flyover country are being systematically deprived of our land and our freedom. 

I've been following Agenda 21 for several years and have witnessed it's pernicious creep into our everyday life under the guise of "making life better for us" because we're too stupid to manage on our own.   It promises open green space, clean air, and a dolly for every child.  It's the ultimate weapon of the loony left to control us.

The debt ceiling Kubuki theater continues.  But, not to worry.  The house voted 179-234 to keep the Styrofoam cups in the WH cafeteria.  What the hell is wrong with these fools?  We're not paying them a salary to sit around in Washington and debate the merits of Styrofoam vs some other form of cup.  H/T Red Dog Report via Weasel Zippers.

Taxes will go up and the debt will rise. End of story.

Meantime, the secret meetings continue where people who could give a rip about this country are debating about how to spend our money. Once again, my little brain cannot wrap itself around this nonsense.  These people work for us, not the other way around.  How dare them meet in secret?  Is it so we won't know who's screwing us the worse? 

One way they spend our money is to allow the first woman to fly around on our dime to campaign for her worthless husband while she steals the thunder of the people who really did the work of building a house.   In the process, we are treated to images that make us the laughing stock of the world.

I Have Really Smart Friends

Something I learned early on (from someone way smarter than me), was to always surround yourself with the smartest people you could find and to copy what successful people do.

You see folks, none of this has anything to do with "saving Mother Earth."  It has to do with control.  It is the shoving of people into smaller and smaller areas, limiting their mobility with such things as electric cars, and controlling our food and energy sources.  A populace that is kept all squished up together with no real means of escape is an easily controllable populace.

It appears people are starting to wake up to the insidious and very dangerous Agenda 21.  While we're being entertained by the Obama's hiring a homosexual social secretary, news of real import is being hidden.  As an aside, allow me ask once again - why is it only homosexuals that have to be defined by the way in which they engage in sex?  Nobody described the last social secretary by the fact that they were in all likelihood heterosexual.  But I digress - sorry...

.  Today on Big Government in Agenda 21 part III,  we learn that Maryland has booted Agenda 21 to the curb

Maryland Commissioners Richard Rothschild, Robin Frazier, Haven Shoemaker, Dave Roush and Doug Howard, who abolished the County’s Office of Sustainability. They then voted unanimously to drop out of the UN’s International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). They are the first governmental organization to do so.

As Mr. Simpson states in his article, "this is huge."  Indeed it is, and I urge you read my previous posts as well as all of Mr. Simpson's posts on Agenda 21.  It's a much more important issue than the White House social secretary having deviant sex.

Think the UN's Agenda 21 doesn't affect you?  It does.  Google ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives) and the name of your city and see what comes up. ICLEI is the backdoor approach to usurping your rights as a citizen of the United States and is linked up with the UN's Agenda 21.

  After doing that, check to see if one or more of your local schools has the IB (International Baccalaureate) program.

 Exactly how is paying for ICLEI people to come into your town and teach you how to stick a plant in the ground going to save you money?  Do you really need the UN to help you build bike lanes?  Or in the case of Fort Collins, Colorado, ripping out traffic lanes to add additional bike lanes?

How about the International Baccalaureate program?  Bungalow Bill is having to fight that issue in the Ozark high school right now.   Ozark High School's International Baccalaureate Plan has Ties to Obama and Domestic Terrorist William Ayers

And in my own backyard is Coeur d'Alene high school.

So how many IB Diplomas were produced in 2010 with the district's $1.3 Million investment thus far? Eight (8). How can anybody call these results something to be proud of? source

Imagine my surprise to see this article in Big Government this past evening:

and then research these issues and see what's going on in your own schools and neighborhoods.  If you don't like what you see, write a letter and make some phone calls.  Not once - but over and over. 

Livable Communities Act S.1619

Senator Dodd introduced this bill to enforce UN Agenda 21.  I've brought up Agenda 21 in the past here and here.    In one of those posts I suggested that Agenda 21 was almost as dangerous as Obamacare.  In actuality they are both equally dangerous.

One of the best articles on this whole debacle remains New World Order Rising? Thoughts on the UN World Summit on Sustainable Development by Steven Yates and I urge you to read it.  In fact you may want to print it out and go through it with a yellow highlighter.

The concept of sustainable development is nothing more than Marxism which has been wrapped in the feel good package of environmentalism.  It will create a new permanent federal office (just what we need) that will coerce communities to accept grant money thereby gaining control of where and how you live.  It real goal is to control how land is used, population control, and redistribution of wealth.

2010 - A Line in the Sand

My Google Reader is over 1000 again. One thing I've noticed over the past few weeks is the barrage of posting on what most of us would consider a "slow news week."  Not that there still isn't plenty of news, but a lot of it consists of information that seems to be non-essential to our well-being.

During such a week, many of my fellow bloggers (I include myself) check their statcounters and go into a tailspin. They then feel the need to post even more stuff that doesn't necessarily promote the general welfare, unless you consider hours spent sifting through the weeds to get to the wheat as time well spent. I don't anymore.

I expect that from news aggregator sites such as Instapundit or even Hot Air.  For the average everyday blogger, however, it has gotten harder and harder to cull the important stuff.  We seem to have developed a mass-hysteria of posting for posting sake.  Soon, I envision readers becoming so overwhelmed they'll just tune out completely.

It really is no different than the Cloward-Piven Strategy.  One of it's main goals is to overwhelm the opponent.  I think we are doing this to ourselves in many ways. This sort of mass posting  leaves the average reader no time for digesting what they have read, or for just spending time on reflection. 

One of my goals has been to find the things I believe are important, and either elaborate on the subject or direct my readers to reputable sources for further reading.  My main concern has been focused on health care. I believe socialized medicine is the main path through which the "powers that be" will  gain control of the economy and ultimately of us.  The next most dangerous movement, almost equal to health care, is the environmental movement.  I have posted before on Agenda 21.  One of the outcomes of this movement is the upcoming Copenhagen Treaty, which I believe Obama plans to sign in December. Over the next few days, I will be reading the entire treaty in order to speak with a semblance of intelligence on the subject.

The Green Room at Hot Air

Hot Air has a "back room" called the Green Room.  Many of my favorite bloggers, like Stacy McCain, are regular contributors.  While the "front page" of Hot Air covers many important issues, it also contain lots of fluff. While perusing the Green Room a few days ago, I came across an article written by Ken Pritchett of Red Dot in a Red State's Blog,  entitled "2010 A Line in the Sand."


Ken states in this fine article:

"the Progressive Movement has found their St. Michael, and they are moving forward with their agenda at warp speed. Knowing their agenda is one part of our battle, and one cannot know their agenda without knowing the history of the Progressives."

 I urge you all to read this well-written summation of the Progressive Movement and what Ken says is "the line in the sand."

How to Fix Health Care

1. End employer mandated insurance. The individual should be the owner of his own coverage. It is ridiculous for employers to be overseeing your health care.
   
2. Remove government mandates from current policies which drive up costs.
   
3. Remove government restrictions on the sale of insurance to allow for true competition.
   
4. Insurance should return to the original concept of insuring against catastrophe, with patients paying out of pocket for everyday medical expenses.
   
5. Tort reform
   
6. Allow Medicare and Medicaid to be phased out over time.

America - there is no health care crisis. This "crisis" is nonsense, invented by the very government that has caused the problem to begin with. The solution to "fixing" what is currently a problem is to get government out of health care. No more micromanaging our lives.

Does no one else see how just plain weird this is all is? We have a bunch of ignorant, overpaid elitist snobs running around in Washington arguing about how you will receive your health care. By my estimates, we have close to 50% of the people in this country thinking this is "normal." This is not normal; this is more like crawling down Alice's hole and dancing with the gerbils.

Why?

I've also become tired of not saying some of the things that need to be said. Just openly say anything about a "plan" or a "plot", or throw God into the mix, and you are automatically called a "conspiracy wacko". Even the conservatives jump on this little band wagon. Glenn Beck is routinely disparaged by both sides of the aisle, and we all know how relentlessly Sarah Palin is attacked in an attempt to marginalize her message.

Folks, this is all about control, and the question I've had to ask myself over the past few weeks is; why? Why would you want to destroy a country's economy just so you can feel powerful? Wouldn't a rational person rather be head of a prosperous country? Therein lies the key. We are not dealing with rational people. We are dealing with evil, sick people, and it's time we all realized this.

The reason we, referring to those of us who are rational, cannot wrap ourselves around any of this is because we are rational. Spend some time connecting the dots. Read up on the UN's Agenda 21, Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, and the Cloward-Piven Strategy.

At the dinner table the other evening, my husband compared these people to shopaholics. No matter how much a person shops, and regardless of how much "stuff" they pile up in their homes, they are never satisfied. They have a bottomless pit in their soul that can never be filled. We are dealing with people who are nothing more than Godless empty pails riddled with holes. As fast as they pour other people's money and lifeblood in, it leaks out the bottom.

These people are the modern day Gnostic's, believing they have secret knowledge and can become as Gods. And many everyday folk are being dragged along this path by the "feel good" message being fed to them by their churches, including the Catholic Church. Dumbed down theology, watered down liturgy, liberation theology, diversity, and tolerance being preached relentlessly from pulpits of all denominations has turned the modern day Christian into a weak and vapid sycophant, demanding their "rights."

As Sun Tzu said in The Art of War, "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the results of a hundred battles. " Glenn Beck has been saying for weeks now that we need to know who we are and what we believe if we are to win this battle. I couldn't agree more.
