Do you realize (most) of us start our day with the horrific "news" spewing forth from blackened souls? I call that a real crappy way to begin each day.

Only the most hardened will survive the onslaught of the damage this does to our psyches.  I even admit to sometimes starting my day with hope and faith only to be  driven into a state of anxiety by the time I've perused the "news."  I put "news" in scare quotes because most of it is not really news, but propaganda to keep us in a state of fear. Fearful people are easily controllable people.  So far I have thankfully avoided the fear part. 

What to do? What to do?

I can't stress this enough - you must connect with God - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit post haste.  Do not neglect your morning prayers (guilty!), look around at the wonders of God's creation, and give thanks for all you have.

If the news is causing you to take a deep dive into fear, then by all means, avoid it.

I was out and about yesterday and other than Wallyworld having outside roped off areas for lines the place was packed. There was no one in line either. I was judging by the parking lot since I didn't actually go inside the store.

I saw a few people with little homemade cloth rags tied on their face which was weird.  I hope they know that it does not protect against viruses - coming or going. And I'm betting that stupid mask never gets washed either.

Stress

No way around this, my precious poodles, this constant barrage of Wuflu "news" is stressing us out.  The virus is not the culprit - it's the 24/7 barrage of ridiculous fake news being blasted at us from all directions.

Carb intake is at an all time high as we all seek a dopamine hit (guilty!) And the more we cram in the chips, candy, and beer the worse our stress becomes.

Lent started with a smashing sacrifice when I couldn't get out on Fat Tuesday to gorge on a carb laden pile of pancakes or filled doughnuts.  Do I get a do-over on Fat Tuesday?  Maybe LSP can give me a special dispensation to indulge today (please?)

 Even worse  I couldn't get out on Wednesday to attend Mass and have ashes plastered on my forehead.  Sigh.

No - not the wacked out commies further pushing their anti-American agenda and their relentless pursuit of trashing our duly elected president.  I resent every tax-payer dime these enemies of the state are sucking up instead of doing their jobs.

This is about a number of articles in the American Thinker from last week.

 On February 28 Is a Second Civil War Coming? was posted and scooped up close to 1700 comments.  

The following day  America's Second Civil War Has Already Begun gobbled up over 1200 comments.

On March 3, they posted What does it take to start a civil war? with well over 500 comments.

Then on March 6, Lloyd Marcus posted  What If Trump Loses in 2020?  also with over 500 comments.

Why am I mentioning the comments?

Anyone who has hung around my corner of the internet knows that I spend quite a bit of time perusing comments on articles.  While I like reading what intelligent people post, I'm even more interested in how people respond. 

 I found the responses a bit alarming.  The comboxes, other than the trolls, were filled with people who were equally alarmed, but still pragmatic about the outcome of the politics of today.  These were not comments from wild eyed skin- heads, but mostly well thought out responses. 

I've always thought the idea of Civil War was impossible.  I'm not so sure anymore. I have taken my own temperature on the ignorant antics of the commies in this country and it's has soared into the brain frying area.

This comment from American Thinker brings me to the next subject - the documentary Hoaxed. 

We are already deep into a civil war. Because much of the fighting is done with information, not hand to hand combat, most don’t see it. The war is well underway. 

 I watched Hoaxed yesterday and I am so impressed that I'm urging you to watch it.  That's a big step for me since the producer, Mike Cernovich, is not on my fan list.  This is one of the best objectively produced documentaries of the psychotic hold fake news has on our society.  I think you'll be surprised what they have to say about Black Lives Matter too.

The Diocese has failed to support their students and have taken down both the diocese website and the high school website.  They closed the school today due to threats of violence by the commie/marxist/libtards.

Why are they hiding?

In 2004, the Diocese of Covington, a very small diocese by church standards, held the honor of agreeing to the largest settlement (120 million) for alleged abuse cases as part of a settlement on a class action lawsuit.  It's evident that the diocese had no problem covering for the homosexuals - until they couldn't.

Decades ago, the Catholic Church was invaded by massive numbers of chicken-hawk homosexuals.  Was it a plan?  It certainly looks to be the case. Is it still going on?  It would appear so according to this disgusting report by Church Militant. 

The students of Covington Catholic High School have had their innocence ripped from them.  And to have the school and diocese essentially throw these kids to the wolves is unconscionable.

I'm trying to see both sides of this issue.  Is the Diocese erring on the side of safety for their students?  Possibly. They no doubt have their attorneys and advisers on speed dial. At some point in life, the difficult choices must be made. The students, and that includes the entire school, the  alumni, and future students should not be put in harm's way.  But, how about the archbishop and priests show up at that school and prove that they stand for truth and honor?  How about they emulate the martyrs of the Church who died for their faith?

A Note to Catholics and Non-Catholics

I'm Catholic.

I'm proud to be Catholic.

The doctrine of the Church has not changed one tittle or jot.

The ravings of a lunatic Pope, the homosexulists who are still lurking about, and the happy-clappy liturgy that was foisted on the faithful in the 60's, does not change one single truth as taught by the Church.  You may have to dig a bit to find it but trust me, it's still there.

Ask yourself this question:  Why is the Catholic Church under such constant attack by evil forces?  If it was just a bunch of statue-worshiping whores of Babylon misfits, would the commie/marxist/libtards even care?  Take your time.  I'll wait for you to figure it out. 

I attend an FSSP parish which exclusively celebrates the Mass according to the pre-Vatican II liturgy - what is often referred to as the "Latin Mass."  For that I'm often derided and mocked by other "Catholics."  Do I care?  Nope.  Dopes will be dopes.  Do I think this makes be better than other Catholics?  That's would be another nope.

The high school boys from the Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky,   who have been accused of picking on an Indian, have been largely exonerated by the full video of the (IMO) non-event.

Reading the comments at The Hill, Huff and Puff, and Daily Mail further illuminated the hatred the commie/marxist/libtards have for us - the deplorable dirt people.

The majority of comments had nothing to do with what allegedly happened, but instead slandered the boys for, wait for it:

I've been wondering why I feel a certain lack of interest in the goings on.  I also think that others are feeling the same way.  

Why?

It occurred to me while mulling this over that we've come to understand Trump is doing his job leaving us free to do our jobs.

As much as I have to do today, I will take time to watch the live stream of the press conference with Trump and Putin.  Then I will get on with my day while Trump gets on with his. Thank you, President Trump.

I wonder what has happened to us all when we awake on Monday morning to face the day with no real earth shattering news and it bums us out.  A normal person would be pleased, but a blogger's first thought is, "Darn - what the hell am I going to write about?"

Oh, sure - we have some naked crazy running around Nashville shooting people, but if it wasn't for the media no one would know or really care.

Do you realize that in Chicago 19 people have been shot and killed this month and 111 so far this year?  Last week alone (4/15 - 4/21) they managed to downsize the population by 9.  The total for shooting victims this year is an astounding 668. source

A few months ago I joined Weight Watchers.  A few days ago, having now changed many things about my eating habits/life style, dropping about 25 lbs, and being unable to attend very many meetings, I decided it was time to move on. 

I like the food tracking feature on the WW website and did a quick search for an alternative that would not cost me anything.

What I found very quickly was My Fitness Pal.  Outstanding!  WW tracks their own system of points, but Myfitnesspal.com tracks calories, carbs, fat, protein, sodium, and sugar for each food eaten and broken down by breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.

Seriously.

Tried them yesterday.  They were outstanding.

I followed the basic instructions, but next time I'm going to add a smidge of baking powder and almond flour.

I'm not going to spend my entire day worrying about the dust up at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) over Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit being called a Nazi and being kicked off a panel on free speech.  Think about that for a moment.

Many times in the past I've brought up the fact that Gateway Pundit is not too careful about what it prints.  And if it does print something in the heat of the moment to boost their already overwhelming page views, they make no effort to correct the falsehood.  Why bother.  In today's overheated 24/7, over reported, and short attention span culture, everyone has moved on to other stories in a matter of hours.

However, calling Jim Hoft a Nazi is a bit over the top and certainly would qualify as fake news.

And then we have MassResistance being dis-invited at the last moment from being an exhibitor at CPAC.

Why would a group or speaker be banned? CPAC Executive Director Dan Schneider said he rescinded our participation due to our uncivil discourse. He was “uncomfortable” with our tone. CPAC has been telling our supporters who call that we “lack common decency.” Several of our supporters were even told that our group encourages violence against gays! That is libelous. Other than some professional seminars where attendees can gain some new knowledge and hobnob with like minded people, I find CPAC (which I had never even heard of until I started blogging) is more of a see and be seen, getting to wear a phony press pass, and feeling all important by being cozy with a bunch of peeps who couldn't care less about you and will forget your name 10 seconds after meeting you.  I've also heard the after hours activities are quite lively too.  Smirk.
