Jammie Wearing Fools reminded us of this awful disgusting display of our elected officials acting like rhythm challenged dopes back in June.

According to JWF, Nancy Pelosi is so proud of her behavior, she tweeted the video yesterday to congratulate Mooch on her "Let's Move" 4th anniversary.

Make no mistake about these people.  They don't care about you.  These fabulously wealthy people, who live in a bubble of privilege, don't even have a clue of who you are.

Does anyone have any idea of how much we are being manipulated?  Just a few years ago, it would have never occurred to any woman that they should receive free birth control. Yet now it's part of the "war on women." 

Every day, there is a new article telling us we're going to fry what's left of our brains because of global warming.

And don't even get me started on the noisy and tiresome homosexuals.  Somewhere there's a closet missing it's inhabitants.  May it find them soon.

We are in a seriously dangerous position when it comes to the Constitution, and yet we allow ourselves to be manipulated into angst about nonsense.  We jump on any new outrage pushed down our willing throats. 

Even liberal professor of law at George Washington University Jonathon Turley had this to say when he testified before the House Judiciary Committee Wednesday:

We are in the midst of a constitutional crisis with sweeping implications for our system of government. There has been a massive gravitational shift of authority to the Executive Branch that threatens the stability and functionality of our tripartite system. To be sure, this shift did not begin with President Obama. However, it has accelerated at an alarming rate under this Administration. These changes are occurring in a political environment with seemingly little oxygen for dialogue, let alone compromise. source 

Yet this same professor doesn't think Obama has committed an impeachable offense:

I do not believe that President Obama has committed impeachable offenses in these areas even though I believe that he has knowingly and repeatedly violated the Constitution. 

It's easy to become discouraged.  However, once you realize that there is little you can do in any substantive way to change the trajectory of the country, you'll be able to think closer to home and do the things necessary to protect yourself.
 
My advice?  Learn to fly under the radar - and buy toilet paper.

and flaps her hands around at a rate fast enough to change the climactic atmosphere of the room.

Women who flap their hands around, make claws of their fingers, and slash at the air are not to be trusted.

When asked early on if she had tried using the exchange website her answer was that she had, but had only gone so far because "she had affordable health care."  The arrogance of this statement when the Washington elites were essentially granted a carve out and we, you and me, are paying for their health insurance is galling.

While listening to Sebelius speak at this dog and pony show, I popped over to American Thinker and read  Obama and the Willful Blindness of the Conservative Beltway Intelligentsia focused on Charles Krauthammer and referring back to an interview he gave last Friday.

The article questions how someone with such a "towering intellect" could fail so miserably to understand who Obama was and what he believed in.

 First, we have to accept the premise that Krauthammer is a "towering intellect."  Really?  I never found him to be exceptionally bright.  Nor do I consider the talking head harrumphers on Sunday morning shows particularly smart either.

You see, smart people take a bunch of information, process it, and come up with correct conclusions.  It's sort of like 2 + 2 = 4.  How the hell hard is that??

I'll tell you who the real intellectuals are.  It's you, dear reader.  It's the Fuzzy Slippers, the Maggie's, the Odie's, the AOW's, the Proof's, Asylum Watch, Conservative Hideout, and Trevor Loudon. 

It's the Conservative Treehouses, who did such a great job on the Trayvon Martin case, Diogenes, who always cuts through the crap and get's to the point, it's Matt Walsh, Randy,  Freedom's Lighthouse, iOwnTheWorld, and MOTUS, who has mastered the art of speaking truth with humor - and on and on.  (Forgive me if you were not mentioned.) 

These people take information, process it, and come up with correct conclusions.  It's as simple as that.

Now we have the "best and brightest" questioning Sebelius about a non-functioning website. It's just so much sturm und drang and a waste of time.  The site doesn't work. We know the site doesn't work.  So why in hell are we spending all this time talking about the site not working?

I'm headed out to purchase a leaf blower because my towering intellect has informed me that blowing leaves around is way easier than sweeping them up.  Simple?  You betcha!

The Catholic vote...

will it make a difference in the election?

The average Catholic is so poorly catechized, and so steeped in Marxist "social justice" garbage, that voting for a man who is completely in favor of abortion does not even make their outrage meter wiggle. 

The bishops have taken a stand against the contraception mandate.  All well and good, except they then schizophrenically turn around and lambast Paul Ryan's budget because they think it "hurts poor people", or some darn thing. 

With the exception of those who pay attention to what is going on, which is few to none, we wonder why Catholics are confused?  On the other hand, few to none of the the general population pay any attention to what's going on either.  You see, just because we are involved in the political process (over involved to the detriment of our mental health?), the majority of Americans wander around pecking at their little screens and walking unawares into traffic.

While I generally agree with most everything Michael Voris says, and indeed, 90% of what he says in this video is correct, it sort of runs off the rails when he says the bishops need to quit fighting the HHS contraceptive battle on the grounds of religious liberty, but instead use the concept of natural law as a means of winning the argument.  Well (IMO), that bird has a broken wing.

First of all, the average person has no concept of what natural law even is, and secondly, you're having a battle with committed Marxists who don't recognize natural law - at least in the Catholic sense of natural law.  Natural law over the entire span of man, has garnered so many different definitions that it would soon devolve into an argument over what natural law even is.

Here's what I think is really going on.  Remember, this is just my opinion.  I think the bishops are counting on Obamacare being struck down by the Supremes as unconstitutional, either in part or whole, at which time the mandates become meaningless.  Voila, they look like heroes for standing up for religious freedom. 

The real question is, why is the federal government mandating to a private business what they shall pay for or provide?  Of course, the insurance company is not paying for it as I've actually heard some lefties say.  The customer, that would be you and me, will be paying for it in the form of higher premiums.  And next will be the mandate for free abortions under the guise of "women's health."   You can absolutely count on it.

IRONDALE, Ala. — Eternal Word Television Network filed a lawsuit today in U.S. District Court in Birmingham, Ala., seeking to halt the federal government’s imposition of its contraception mandate and to have the court declare the federal rule unconstitutional.

The lawsuit names Kathleen Sebelius, the secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and other federal agencies, as defendants.

The network released a statement today regarding the action.

The network is the first lay Catholic organization to challenge the constitutionality of the HHS final rule, approved by the Obama administration on Jan. 20. North Carolina’s Belmont Abbey College and Colorado Christian University, based in Denver, have both filed suit. All three are represented by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, the public-interest law firm that recently won a unanimous Supreme Court ruling in Hosanna Tabor v. It's time for the Catholic bishops to make public statements about Sebelius, Pelosi...

and all the rest of the rogue "Catholic" politicians who continue to call themselves Catholic while defying the teachings of the Church. 

To not do so is doing great harm to their credibility.

There is something intriguing and, at the same time, troubling about the upheaval being created by the Obama administration's dictate regarding religious institutions and the right of conscience. The problem is not so much what Obama has done, but what Catholics are confronted with as a result. Let me be clear. The various bishops who have made statements in opposition to what Obama has done are to be commended. They have decried the arrogance of an administration that literally wants to spit in the face of Christ and His Church.

Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan, for example, says that the Obama administration has revoked the religious freedom of groups that do not regard women's fertility as a "disease." Indeed, this is true.

But when you peel away the layers of righteous indignation, we find a gruesome layer of facts that is being covered over and is not likely to be exposed by the very bishops who are uttering powerful words in defense of conscience. The bishops, as a body of religious leaders, consistently fail to act on their own words — and that will be the downfall of their recent pontificating.  read the rest
