There's been lots of hype about the protests at the DNC. Frankly, compared to the 1968 convention, these kids are pikers. The video below shows the MSM trying to get us all excited about a small group of tatted up, filthy looking young people causing mayhem.
The Fox news people are breathless with excitement and touting the magnitude of the crowd. Ah, in a word, no. Notice the clever camera angles of the crowd to try and make it look like there's thousands of people there? There's not.
Another video at at Fox 29, in which the Philly police commissioner declares the whole affair to be a bit of a nothing burger. The Fox "news" man on the street was very disappointed and the expression on the commissioner's face is priceless. Commissioner Ross has obviously had plenty of interaction with the press and I applaud him for not rolling his eyes.
CBS Philly, not wanting to be left out of the action, posted Chaotic Scene Outside Wells Fargo Center After Protesters Breach DNC Security Fence accompanied with the usual footage.
The first video was posted by Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit. I like Jim, but in his zeal to get Trump elected, he can sometimes get overly loose with his words. His headlines are replete with words like "Wow, "Breaking", and "Chaos". Jim is being aided and abetted by one Mike Cernovich, a man who has mastered the art of self promotion. Both of them make me tired.
Aren't we all exhausted enough with what is starting to feel like a twenty year election cycle to have to endure such sensationalism from the press - on both sides of the aisle?

Stefan Molyneux: Procrastination and Passive Aggression...
and a wonderful way to overcome both.
Because politics is making me exhausted.
You may have the same reaction to the beginning of Stefan Molyneux's presentation that I did. He will be talking about raising children, which will make you think; "Of course children are raised in such a manner precisely because they are children", and may want to turn off the video. Don't. He will make it clear in a very short time.
After thinking about what he said, I realized I was raised by a mother who had vastly different ideas about how to raise a child from most people, and more like what Stefan was describing. My feelings and ideas were validated by my mother. I was given choices and was asked for feedback. My mother used to say that you can't just keep saying "no" to everything a child does or says. She believed in providing alternatives. "No you can't do such and such, but you can do this or that.
I can't ever remember being ordered to do something. She never had to because she was the master of the psychological conditioning of children. There was nothing she couldn't convince me to enjoy. Pulling weeds? Wowzer! Cooking, cleaning, reading? Count me in! My father was no slouch either. He convinced me that caulking storm windows was just too cool and mowing the lawn was an art form worth learning.
The one thing she couldn't get me to do was keep my room somewhat neat. I was a slob. The story often told was that in an effort to make me care about neatness, a bulletin board was installed in my room. Each evening, I carefully thumb tacked my clothes to the board. It wasn't exactly what mom had in mind, but she let it go. When my room got really bad, she simply closed the door.
In time, I developed into a person who is very organized and somewhat of a clean freak. Do I still leave a trail of messes? Yep. But, I'm aware and correct the problem on a daily basis. Because it's my choice. Remember that word - choice.
So what does passive aggression have to do with procrastination? I doubt there is anyone who has not experienced being around a passive aggressive personality. It may be your mate, your boss, even your best friend. It may even be you. Passive aggressive people are the pinnacle of crazy making. They are also the masters of procrastination.
I think I've read everything ever written about procrastination. The same psychologists who write on procrastination rarely tie it to passive aggressive behavior. They give you all sorts of tips to overcome procrastination, but Stefan Molyneux, in one simple video, brilliantly cuts to the heart of the matter, and may solve your procrastination problem forever.
I suggest you listen to the video, spend a few days mulling over how you were raised, and then listen to the video again.
You won't be sorry.

I refuse to join in a public memorial, light a candle, or strew flowers around where people have been slaughtered by deranged people who have taken their cue from Obama and have wrapped themselves in the mantel of victim.
They're victims, all right. They are victims of the progressive magic that has destroyed the family and kept them seething in their section 8 ghettos grateful for an EBT card that gives them a few hundred dollars a month for food. Slaves lived better on plantations.
They don't get it, and I doubt they're capable of getting it. They are all still slaves. Their new master is a political system that lies to keep them subjugated while they vote for their own destruction.
How many thoughts and prayers need to be sent before we wake up to the deliberate machinations of the progressive manifesto that breeds more unrest while the dead bodies of innocent people pile up?

As with many of these nationwide "protests" they seem to not live up to their hype.

This scheme, implemented by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), is moving low-income people (section 8) into affluent neighborhoods because they're certain the low-income people will suddenly become rich if they're in the right neighborhood.
It's happening here, and before you can blink, it will happen to you.
Where you will most definitely not see it is next door to Odumbo, Clinton, Kerry, or any of the other pigs that think this is such a great idea.

But you should know the Republican-controlled Congress already had a chance to defund AFFH—and they failed to do it.
As Senator Mike Lee noted, AFFH means the end of self-government:
Mr. Trump, you made your billions in real estate development. You are acutely aware that much of an American’s wealth is directly tied to the equity in their home. Thus, protecting property values should be a core responsibility of government.
Obama’s AFFH is a declaration of war against property values. By removing a community’s right of self-government, Americans lose any control over their own property. After all, why bother purchasing property if the government will deliberately import populations to destroy your community? Why participate in local government when your community can be targeted and replaced?
AFFH means the replacement of self-determination by racial-socialist tyranny.
And there are real human costs. you relate that when you were sued by the government for allegedly
discriminating against blacks in one of your housing developments, you
refused to settle. You say you did rent to blacks but you “wanted
tenants who we could be sure would pay the rent, who would be neat and
clean and good neighbors, and who met our requirements of having an
income at least four times the rent.”
This was how you met the famous lawyer Roy Cohn, who advised you, “Tell them to go to hell and fight the thing in court… I don’t think you have any obligation to rent to tenants who would be undesirable, white or black, and the government doesn’t have a right to run your business.”
Mr. Trump, millions of Americans have their life savings tied directly to the house they own. They bought it thinking it would not only be a great investment, but an asset they could hand down to their children.
If the Obama Administration’s AFFH program remains in place, it means devastation for homeowners around the country. And make no mistake, because it will disproportionately impoverish European-Americans and so reduce “income inequality,” I can’t help but believe the effects are deliberate.
Mr. Trump, you’ve defined your candidacy as built around defending self-determination. It’s time to take a stand on the rights of small communities to defend themselves.
The federal government should not have the right to tell Americans who their neighbors should be.
I urge you to speak out against AFFH and pledge that not only will you end Obama’s HUD schemes—but that you will proclaim freedom of association and self-determination are rights you will defend as president.

Let me tell you a quick story about something that happened to me yesterday. I was checking out at Walgreens, and the nice young man at the register, with whom I've chatted with in the past, asked about my blog. I handed him a card with my blog address, but jokingly said, "If you don't like Trump, I would suggest you not visit since I am a Trump supporter." Just as I said that, a man walked up to the register and I could see the contempt and outrage on his face.
Since this is North Idaho, and the man looked to be in his 40's, I could pretty well assume he was not a Hillary supporter. I obviously have no idea of who he does support. I quickly headed out to my car because my spidey sense was quivering in the mega range and I wanted to be gone before he left the store. I was actually fearful that this man could possibly cause me harm. After surviving a violent mugging, I listen carefully to my intuition.
When he exited the store before I could depart, I hit the lock button in my vehicle because he had to pass me to get to his truck. By this time I was already backing out of my space. He jumped in his truck and backed up and for just a moment I thought he was going to ram the back of my car.
After seeing this video, and having read about the various other violent confrontations directed at Trump supporters, I'm glad that Idaho has concealed carry without a license.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Angry House Republicans are announcing plans to investigate after FBI Director James Comey recommended against criminal charges for Hillary Clinton over her handling of classified emails.Just what we need. A whole bunch of lying Republicans pretending to be outraged so we can all come running to post clips of the "tough" questioning.
House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said Comey’s decision defies explanation and leaves many questions unanswered. He said the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee would be calling Comey to testify.
“The FBI should give us all of their findings,” Ryan told Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File” on Tuesday. Ryan said Clinton is “competing for commander in chief here, so I think there’s a whole accounting that needs to happen.” there's more if you care to read it.

progressive tools of control. They have created in people a Pavlovian
response to words like bigot, racist, privileged, supremacist and (fill
in the blank)-phobe which manifests as an avoidance reaction. Your
instinct is to move away, to distance yourself from the unpleasant
thing. This is not a rational "adult mind" reaction but rather a
subconscious reflexive "child mind" action driven by social proof and
reinforced by your conformity bias. It is this very response that
progressives use to control us. Remember that to move a herd of sheep
you only need to get the few in the front to do your bidding. This
progressive conditioning occurs at a subconscious level so you don't
even know it is happening unless you know it is happening.
You think you are immune? I can force you to do something even while telling you not to do it.
Ready? Whatever you do, do NOT think of a unicorn. Gotcha!
The battle for control of your thoughts and actions is being waged in your mind. Understanding how the mind works is essential to resisting being controlled or even influenced by others. As I said, I am attempting to modify your thoughts by making you aware of how your thoughts can be modified.
I believe the NeverTrump movement is a product of progressive conditioning, sort of an inverse charisma, where people don't want to be associated with people who are being called names. You want to distance yourself and by proclaiming NeverTrump you are disavowing all the bad things the progressives accuse you of being.
How much do you really know about Trump that hasn't been filtered or modified in some way by the progressive media? The debates were manipulated by the questions (Do you still beat your wife?). Trump comments were partially reported and then modified with "analysis". He has sent out hundreds (thousands?) of Tweets with only a few making it to the news cycle. 99.9% of what you know about the man has been adulterated in some way so how is it possible to make an assessment of the man with absolute certitude? Even his speeches, like the one on Tuesday, which was great by the way, perhaps his greatest speech ever, was influenced by speech writers. Did you catch what I just did?
The media isn't interested in the truth, they are interested in grabbing eyeballs so they are interested in shock, lies, conflict, blood, sex, scandal and whatever else sells.
The process is simple. For example, Trump says something reasonable about how a person's views and biases are the product of their life experiences. You know, like how Sonia Sotomayor said her "wise Latina" life experiences would cause her to make better decisions than a white man. Only Trump didn't refer to race, he said that a judge of Mexican decent may be biased against him due to Trump's position on Mexican immigration. (Take a moment and think about that last sentence and find where it is unreasonable. No? Neither can I). The progressives immediately shouted "racist!", even though Mexican is a nationality not a race, and demanded everyone stop and renounce the racist Trump. In full Pavlovian progressive conditioning obedience mode Paul Ryan, the Republican establishment and many others did just that.
The progressives have turned the Republicans into zombies and nobody even notices. The progressives made the Republicans create a 100 day plan to stop Trump. If it was a Republican idea wouldn't they first have had a 100 day plan to stop Obama?
Now the adult mind does not like to be a zombie but the emotional child mind is insistent so to satisfy both intellect and emotion the adult mind rationalizes the zombie behavior as "reasoned". Trump therefore must BE a racist because that explanation means you are not a zombie and your conditioned response is the right course of action. It doesn't matter that Trump has never actually made an overt expression or racism or practiced racism. If he had, Jessie Jackson would have been all over him.
The only thing that matters is that you have arrived at the simplest explanation that comforts your adult mind and your child mind. You easily accept other stories of Trump's racism or other shortcomings because your conformity bias dictates that new information that conforms to what you already hold true must also be true.
Smart people will have the hardest time absorbing what I have just revealed because their adult mind has constructed a more detailed and elaborate justification OR it has referenced a fixed set of "beliefs" that do not require additional rationalization. Your mind works very hard at being lazy.
What is really disturbing is that from now on, every time you see NeverTrump you will be reminded that you're being manipulated. Of course, I could be completely wrong about everything.

Even with his very busy life, he has managed to devote thousands of hours to local issues from zoning, land use, and has even served on our local school board.

Donald Trump: Please add anti-Semitic to xenophobic, homophobic, racist, and anti-women...
because people read into things that which is not there.

Because, wait for it, the star, which resembles a Star of David, is on top of hundred dollar bills, which indicates that Hillary is getting money from the "evil Jews" - or something.
A few hours later, the star was replaced with a circle. So what?
Never in a gazillion years would I have looked at the original tweet and thought, "OMGosh, now Trump has stepped over the line and become a neo-Nazi and white supremacist."
It says way more about the people claiming antisemitism than it does about Trump.

How are you celebrating Independence Day 2016?...

I just read somewhere that 43 million people will be traveling this weekend. Glad I'm not one of them.
Did you hear that Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton got together to discuss their respective grand-kids? Right. More like, "Nice grand-kids you have there, Loretta. Be a shame if anything happened to them."

So that whole "young Muslims didn't abuse a 5 year old girl in Twin Falls, Idaho just keeps getting worse. Today American Thinker has an article about the incident.

It's a really repulsively horrible ad. I refuse to post it for that reason. Funny that a Muslim would run such an ad - or is it?

I really struggle with spending too much time on the internet. I don't watch TV, have a smart phone, or play games on Facebook, but I spend an inordinate amount of time on my computer. I'm trying to break what I consider to be a very bad habit. How much time do you spend on the internet and do you consider it a problem? If you do consider it a problem in your life, what are you doing to improve the situation.

I suggest that the anti-Trumpers try actually listening to him instead of spewing talking points with no facts to back up your indictments.
I will always support your right to not like Trump, and I expect you to extend the same courtesy to those of us who do like Trump. It really doesn't bother me if you call me names for supporting Trump. But you should realize by engaging in that behavior says more about you than it does about me.
