If you watched Bill Whittle's video I posted Friday, this documentary will cement what he said about MSM being complicit in hiding and distorting the news and how dangerous it really is.

American media and 'education' has been much worse than Russia ever dreamed about.

Looking back through the history of even your own lifetime, I believe you can envision millions of smart people looking at our cultural landscape and saying "That ain't gonna work". We have fewer and fewer of those people around now than when I was a kid. Conclusion: We will be trampled by the ignorant masses of people of all ages in our lifetimes.

I spend no effort or energy trying to hold it back. I am strictly in self-defense mode where currently in my life and environment the risks are very low that I'll have to deploy a weapon. Hope it stays that way but the country as a whole is going down the toilet purely because people do not have accurate information with which to defend themselves, their communities and their country. (See Yuri Brezmanov) As Bill says it is the only thing that matters. We could trade all other issues for it and be a million times better off because educated people will solve all those other problems very quickly. Stupid misinformed people have zero chance to fix anything.

The tech people? Straight from hell.

The country won't cease to exist because Joe Biden, or pick any democrat, gets elected to the white house, it will be because not enough people rejected it happening. America will cease to exist with the next democrat majority. It took a long trip downhill with the radical moslem administration and while it's coming back to some extent it won't reach the point it started at.

Ibram Xolani Kendi (real name, Henry Rogers), founder and director of Boston University's Center for Antiracist Research, is himself the worst kind of racist.

 Let me make sure I understand - this guy is scooping up a healthy salary at Boston Uni to sit on his lazy ass and research anti-racism.  A salary, I might add, that is being paid by a bunch of white people so they can claim anti-racism by having a black dude on their roster who researches anti-racism. He then accuses adoptive parents of black kids of being racist for adopting black kids so they can claim anti-racism. Did I get that about right?

Does this fool not see the irony and lack of any logic in what he's saying? 

He wrote a very popular book, How to be An Antiracist, wherein he claims there's a whole passel of bad policy that "keeps the brother down." 

He claims "denial is the heartbeat of racism." If you deny being a racist, that just proves you are. It's one of the reasons I never deny being racist to anyone. 

So listen up all you racist white people - according to Kendi you must constantly monitor yourself for any nasty little racist thought and smack yourself upside the head daily.

Here's some advice for this "educated beyond his intelligence" mook about "persistent self-awareness, constant self-criticism, and regular self-examination."

1.  Stop seeing everything through the lens of race.
2. Stop playing the victim.
3. Stop blaming people from another race for any and all failures suffered by black people.
4. Stop being a racist who sees color first and ascribes thoughts and feelings to the  person before them based on skin color and not their actual character and actions.
5. Stop being a race-baiting racist.

And let me add, you may want to adopt a few kids in need from Haiti yourself.  Between you and your wife, you have more than enough money to take in some needy kids.  But, no; you left that up to some white people to do what you should be doing and then criticize them for doing it.  I'd say that proves my point.

I apologize for my silence lately, but the fact is I had nothing to say.  Rather than waste my time, and more importantly - your time, I refrained from cobbling together posts just to post.

We also had a mini-heat wave reaching a staggering (for us) 107° degrees on August 10th. Even though our portable air conditioner did a magnificent job of keeping us comfortable the heat, accompanied by extremely low humidity, leaves a person feeling wiped.

During the heat wave I also had to deal with an insurance adjuster who, as per his job requirements, was determined to not fix my car that his client so rudely smashed up.  I'm sure he wasn't used to dealing with someone who was very pleasant, but very, very prepared.  If you'd like I'll do a post on how to deal with adjusters later this week. 

After our little chat, he called back the next day and said, "Hey, good news.  We're going to fix your car and provide you with a rental."   But, of course you are, my precious little cabbage.

It's Monday Again

Funny how that day just rolls around every 7 days.  For naturally organized peeps (all 5 or so of you) Monday is a start to a new week of "getting stuff done." 

For the rest of us squirrel brained souls, we've allowed it to become a  day of dread and anguish.

As I said in a previous post, quit picking on Monday.

Since my work around here was severely compromised by my cataract surgeries, the natural inclination is to sink into despair of ever catching up.  If you feel perpetually behind and anxious a simple "flow chart" will help.

I call such a list "putting things in order."  For instance, this morning I plan on working on finishing the landscaping on our pond area. My simple list looks like this:

-        Pond entrance

     Manure

     Transplant daylilies/Siberian iris

     Weed

      Plant black eyed Susan

      Straw

      H20 daylilies/front bed

Notice that the last item on my list is watering the front daylily bed which is in anticipation of weeding that area tomorrow.

Trust me on this, if you suffer from squirrel brain, you must do this for all your activities or you will end up being the last ball rattling around in a pinball machine.  In the pinball machine of life, you want to be the first ball down the hole - not the last.  Capisce?

There's another yuuuuge reason for putting on your blinders and following your list.  At the end of the day you will be able to actually see what you have accomplished.  You do not want to end your day with, "What the hell did I do today?"

and I am ashamed at the comments I'm reading on conservative websites and on Costco's Facebook page.

Do you really believe that the CEO of Costco has nothing better to do than pull a Fahrenheit 451 on a book.  One book?

That's not even rational.

Allow me to repeat:  They are running a publicly traded company.  

As I said to one of my commenters (who has a fine blog of his own) on my original post:

Sub - I know for a fact that Costco runs one of the tightest ships in retail.

Everything is done by the numbers. It's why they count people coming in the door. That number is given to the front end supervisors every hour. They use a formula to decide if they need to cut labor on the front end. No one was ever forced to go home, but anyone could volunteer. Sometimes the volunteer list was long.  

Their net profit margin in 2013 was 1.6% vs Walmart's at 3.52%. At 1.6% there is no room for mistakes.

If I'm not mistaken, Jerome Corsi of World Net Daily started this whole meme, and every conservative site is just going ballistic and repeating the same ol' same ol'.

Aren't conservatives supposed to think for themselves?

About this Costco brouhaha over Dinesh D'Souza's book...

in which the echo chamber of the right sounds just as silly as the libtards.

I worked for Costco so allow me to enlighten you.

Costco carries about 3500 SKU's total and has limited space.  Their profit margin is incredibly small.

They run by the numbers.  They have to or they will go broke.

Costco is not a bookstore.  It simply sells some books along with all it's other offerings. 

It has a responsibility to its shareholders and their very highly paid employees.

If Dinesh D'Souza's book is not meeting the numbers, it has to go.

They carry (IMO) a higher number of conservative books over liberal books because conservative books sell better.

It's as simple as that.
