The difference between commies and conservatives...

in one very important area.

Lately, I've noticed how many conservatives on different social media platforms say that their family/friends/coworkers are in-your-face liberal commie types.

And how do they react?

Glad you asked.

They keep their mouths shut in order to maintain a semblance of peace.

So let me make sure I understand this phenomena.  Commies (the Empty Cortex types) are allowed to demean, insult, and run roughshod over a conservative.  The conservative stays silent out of fear of losing a friend or making a family member angry.

Question:

At what point does a conservative stand up for truth?  When is it okay to say "enough?"

We now have a president who says the un-sayable.  He has stood up for truth.  By doing so he has given us permission to also say the un-sayable.  It's time for conservatives to stand up for what they believe and tell their families and friends the truth instead of cowering in fear.

We're heading into the Lenten season in the lead up to the commemoration of Jesus Christ being nailed to a cross.  Ask yourself if you'd be a part of the crowd who stayed silent in order to "keep the peace."

Extreme?  I think not.

The question of "why" continues with mega-input...

as it pertains to how liberals "think" and why they do what they do  - all of which is thought provoking.

And I thank you all for your comments - all of which are excellent and warrant attention.  They can be read on the following two posts:

The most important question: Why?...

and

Let's take a look at some bloggers who have weighed in on the issue of why liberals believe what they believe.

The Night Wind writes:  IS LIBERALISM A MENTAL DISORDER? and does a great job of expounding on the subject.

Francis Porretto adds his ten dollars worth (Fran never does anything for 2 cents) with The Will To Believe.

And Hardnox adds to the discussion with Liberals vs Leftists and reminds us of an earlier post which lays out how the communist agenda is being manifested today in The Communist Agenda – 45 goals to destroy the United States of America.

Whew.

That's a lot to take in and think about.

What is Intelligence?

And it also opened a Pandora box over what constitutes intelligence in the context of whether liberals are smart or dumb.

MOTUS A.D. points out the leading intelligentsia in California with #Transformation Tuesday: Help! We're Trapped in the Future! - none of whom I consider in the least bit intelligent as defined by me.

Tomorrow's Student Walkout

Yes indeedy - tomorrow is the great student walk out to demand gun control which almost no one cares about.  I guess the kids, who are being used as pawns, will have a good time.  It's like the excitement we experienced when we had a fire drill.  Who can forget that fog horn blasting us out of our bored stupor?  And the lines.  OMGosh, the lines!  It felt like a parade and who doesn't love a parade?

The pink pussy hat Farrakhan loving harridans are all on board.  Yawn.

During Lent I'm not posting on Wednesday and Sunday.  I may continue this schedule after Lent.

Now I'm off to lay tile in my bathroom closet.

Is "Why" the most important question? Rethinking the most important question...

as it applies to the opposition.

Two days ago I suggested that "why" was the most important question we need to ask ourselves.  A big thank you to all my very smart commenters for their input in the combox and it would be well worth your time to read them.

Applying the question of "why" to the things we think and do is still high on my list of beliefs.  It forms the backbone of breaking bad habits, enforcing good ones, and sorting through the daily stuff (yeah - there I go throwing around 10 dollar words like "stuff" again) that makes up our lives.

However, when trying to apply the question to what motivates others to do what they do, it becomes a bit more sketchy.

Trying to sort out the thought process of today's progressive is like looking for a spider in your linen closet.

Under consideration is how they were raised, the amount of propaganda they've been exposed to, education (with education and propaganda being closely related in today's world), and environment.  And it also depends on their quality of intelligence.

After perusing some headlines today (listed below) I've come to the conclusion that the average progressive today is of low intelligence, insecure, and just plain mean.

And if we look at the legal definition of insanity, you may find a picture of any leading democrat politician right smack dab adjacent to the definition:
Mental illness of such a severe nature that a person cannot distinguish fantasy from reality, cannot conduct her/his affairs due to psychosis, or is subject to uncontrollable impulsive behavior. Insanity is distinguished from low intelligence or mental deficiency due to age or injury.
Just looking at these headlines makes a normal person say, "Huh?"

Daily Mail: Lecturers are told to attend workshops to 'understand their white privilege' and examine how their 'whiteness' makes them unwittingly racist

So there you have it, friends.  My quest for the "why" of the average progressive libtard Commie Marxist is drawing to a close.  Although I'm certainly not discounting the influence Satan has on their psyche.

Deals in Patio, Lawn, and Garden

Now is the time to start stocking up on all your garden needs if you live in a colder climate.  I hate having to shell out a bunch of money all at once and always start my purchasing for the new garden year in Feb. and March.  I like to have everything I need available when the temps go up.

Tomorrow it's expected to be 60° and I'll be out trimming bushes and trees after taking a bit of time to sharpen all my equipment.

I also changed my header, created by the talented Political Clown Parade, to reflect spring.

And tired of haunting Walmart for the always out-of-stock Ole Extreme Wellness High Fiber Low Carb Tortilla Wrap, I ordered some from Amazon today.

I receive a small commission when you purchase "stuff" through my Amazon links - and I thank you from the bottom of my conservative, right-wing religious fanatic, deplorable heart.

The most important question: Why?...

for ourselves and for others.

My quest to provoke and prod my feeble little brain into some understanding of why people believe and do stuff ("stuff" is a highly academic word, but I promise not to throw out too many more 10 dollar words) continues.

Having already read about half of David Horowitz's book, Radicals: Portraits of a Destructive Passion, I am no closer to an answer.
From Karl Marx to Barack Obama, Horowitz shows how the idealistic impulse to make the world “a better place” gives birth to the twin cultural pathologies of cynicism and nihilism, and is the chief source of human suffering. A former liberal himself, Horowitz recounts his own brushes with radicalism and offers unparalleled insight into the disjointed ideology of liberal elites through case studies of well-known radial leftists, including Christopher Hitchens, feminist Bettina Aptheker , leftist academic Cornel West, and more.
He does a credible job of telling the stories of some of the most radical of what we now call Social Justice Warriors.  But there is no hint of their "why" other than they honestly believe they will turn the world into a utopia.

Our "why" is the question we should all be asking ourselves about any endeavor we pursue - from leisure activities to academic studies, and to habits - both good and bad.

We do know that people do certain things because there is ultimately a payoff.  The payoff might be feeling better as is the case with drugs and alcohol, escapism through reading light novels, a physical high from exercise, or the esteem of the people with whom you associate.

It's the last "why" that I find most interesting.  People who live in a predominantly liberal area tend to be liberal in their views.  Did they migrate there because of the likelihood of finding people who thought like them or, more insidiously, did their views morph to fit with the prevailing thought?

I grew up in what has become a predominantly liberal area, but raised by parents who could only be considered conservative. My parent's siblings were also conservatives.  I escaped St. Paul when I was a twig of 17 and moved to Houston, TX.

The majority of my contemporary relatives who remained behind became flaming progressive SJW's.  I can only attribute that to the payoff of gaining the admiration of people who continually pounded them with the failed Marxist mantra of social justice, equality, and intolerance which leads to the inability to reason.

The other factor is that their abandonment of the faith in which they were raised.  Many have become "spiritual", but not "religious", a phrase that defies description in any language I understand.

There is no doubt that the MSM lauds and applauds those on the left and denigrates and downplays the people who hold more conservative views which adds more pressure to people who, in my opinion, have lost their ability to reason and tend to operate more on feelings. The payoff is being able to feel good about themselves.

Living now in North Idaho, I don't get many chances to interact with liberals, but if I did, the first question I would have to ask them is, "Why?"

There is something to be said about Michael Savage's famous line - "liberalism is a mental disorder."
