People in Need of Prayers...

So often we become consumed by the worldly goings on that we forget our spiritual responsibilities.

Several blogger buddies of mine are in need of prayers.  Phillip Gerard Johnson, a young man currently in the seminary, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor after serving two years in the Navy as an officer.  Even though his treatment has been aggressive, the most recent MRI is showing continued growth of the tumor and current treatment has been stopped.

And my Texas friend, Kalona, has just received her stem cell transplant after many grueling months of chemotherapy.    Through it all she has displayed a grace and faith that most of us would find difficult.

Let's take a moment to go to their blogs and send good wishes and prayers to these folks.  My StatCounter tells me that millions upon millions of my daily visitors could make a difference.  Just imagine a million messages in your com-box.

...and I thank you in advance.

From Philip at Pellegrinaggio - Crossing the Ponte Sisto

"Of your charity, please pray for the repose of the soul of my Father, John Andrews, who died suddenly, and unexpectedly, yesterday morning. Thank you to all those who have already contacted me with pledges of prayers. I am most grateful."

Please stop by and offer your prayers for him.

Prayer Request for Isabel

from Tom in Vegas:

*****"Dear friends, please keep my mom Isabel in your prayers. After catching my cold last week, I feared she might develop pneumonia as she once did on a previous occasion. Well, today, to the sound of her complaining and insistence that she was okay, I took her to see a doctor and guess what he said? She has pneumonia. He has put her on a strong anti-biotic for the next five days. He said this medication should do the trick (from his mouth to God's ears)."

Say a prayer for her if you get a chance. Thank you and God bless you.

Stop over and let Tom know you will add Isabel to your prayer intentions.

*****Also take a moment to stop over at The Hermeneutic of Continuity and lend your support to a fine priest under attack - further proof that the devil is alive, well, and hard at work in this world.

*****You may read his response to the hatchet job done on him by the "Catholic" publication The Tablet in his February 19th post.

Prayer Request from The Daily Grotto

Dear Friends,

My brother Patrick is in urgent need of prayers. He has some major addiction issues and needs help now! He is in poor physical help that requires surgery in the near future. He is away from the Sacraments. His wife and children desperately need your prayers too. As well as my mom Elaine who has been under great stress. We are asking for a miracle for healing and deliverance. Will you join us please?

If you have a place on your blog for prayers; please help us get the word out to pray for Patrick.

I will be eternally grateful!!!

Yours in Christ,

Kathy
