Tucker Carlson Grills Buzzfeed's Editor-in-Chief on Decision to Publish Dossier...

but that is far from the most interesting part of this interview.

While the first 5 minutes or so watching Ben Smith tap dancing around Carlson's questions and trying to defend his decision to post "fake" news is fun to watch, it becomes very interesting when Carlson brings up a part of  BuzzFeed's editorial standard which reads:
We firmly believe that for a number of issues, including civil rights, women’s rights, anti-racism, and LGBT equality, there are not two sides. (emphasis mine)  source at BuzzFeed under "activism"
What follows should give anyone with a functioning brain the creeps and make you very, very angry.  This guy has cast himself, and claims all purveyors of news do so also, as the sole deciders of what's racist, homophobic, et al.

He claims the right to call you a homophobe if you think marriage is between a man and a woman.

If you suggest that there is a problem in the black community that needs correcting, you are a racist.

If you think abortion is the killing of an innocent baby, you are against women's rights.

Why?

Because "there are not two sides to any of these issues."

BuzzFeed considers itself a legitimate source of news.  The scary part is that many, many people read their content and also consider it a legitimate source of news, which as near as I can figure out, comes from a gazillion different people, all of whom have their own agenda.

Ben Smith claims even Fox news doesn't consider racism or any other "isms" to have two sides.  He's right.  They don't.

Remember this interview when you read any "news" source.

When I say all news is fake news until proven otherwise™,  it's not a cute little saying.

It's the truth.

From the Hoover Institution:
Yet fake news is something quite different. It is not merely a public figure’s spinning of half-truths. It is largely a media-driven, and deliberate attempt to spread a false narrative to advance a political agenda that otherwise would be rejected by a common-sense public. The methodology is to manufacture a narrative attractive to a herd-like progressive media that will then devour and brand it as fact—and even lobby for government redress. source
