For the past several weeks I've been happily digging in the garden. Then this morning I was greeted by this scene:
By later today it will be gone and my tulips will still be fine, the daylilies will just shrug it off, and the temps will be up in the 50's in a few days.
Shopping in the Age of Wuflu
Under the best of circumstances a trip to Michaels (apostrophe missing as per company tradition even though it makes my eyeballs itch) is not high on my list since the visual stimulation makes my head swell. I marvel that so must crap can be stuffed into one space.
But when I saw some Facecrap posts from our local Michaels with customers screeching and complaining and some of the staff screeching back (I don't blame them one teeny bit), I decided to do my small bit of art supply shopping online at Dick Blick.
Prudence once again had spoken to me and said, "Listen, Girlie - you don't want to wade into a bunch of angry crafty type women waving coupons who want something absolutely non-essential and ready to pop a cork if they can't find it."
If you're one of those people who take out their frustration on salespeople in a store you need to stop it. Now! And spending some time examining the source of your frustration would be a good idea. I highly doubt any of my long time commenters would act in such a way, but I'm aware of lurkers who do not hold our conservative values. This advice is directed to them.

I had planned to do a regular shopping yesterday, but decided to go this morning thinking it would be less busy.
I couldn't have been more wrong.
I arrived right before 8 am and there must have been at least 300 to 400 (maybe more) people lined up. It was hard to judge since this wasn't an orderly line. In some places the lines were 6 or more people wide.
I keep harping on Prudence being a virtue. Prudence spoke to me and said, "Are you out of your ever living mind? Nothing about this situation looks safe. Just get in your car and go the hell home. Is American cheese worth dying for?"
The people of this country better pull their idiotic heads out their nether regions and start acting civilized. This is insane.
And for all you elitist commie/libtard a-holes who have been laughing at "preppers" I hope you're reduced to using corn cobs to wipe your useless as*es. We have plenty of what we need and always have. This is how I was raised. This was to be a "normal" shopping trip.
And the disgusting commie/libtards on the left holding up a relief bill because they want to stuff it full of their own pet projects while normal every day people are suffering should, by all rights, rot in hell. As always - may God's will be done!
Because they fear and hate Trump, and by extension every person who voted for him, more than doing the job they were elected to do.
So if you're hanging around waiting for the "government" to save you, better rethink your strategies.
I'm trying to be optimistic that life after wuflu will in many ways be better. I predict many people will turn back to God. If that happens everything else will just naturally fall into place.

I haven't been anywhere since last Monday - not because I fear the flu, but because I can't get a handle on how quickly society has devolved into hysteria and chaos. As much as I've read over the decades, I was not prepared for the reality.
My friends here in North Idaho are doing fine and acting normally. It's the "others" who sort of scare me.
So today I will head out early (about 6:30 am) to grab a few things at the grocery store and may even venture into Wallyworld. I've decided to take advantage of the 8 - 9 am senior time at Costco tomorrow. Again - not because of the virus, but I figure the store will not be very crowded. At least they're calling me a "senior" and not "elderly."

Dealing with Incredimail shutdown?
Never made it outside yesterday since I waited to the last day to deal with the Incredimail shutdown. I downloaded Thunderbird and manually started transferring things I wanted to keep to Thunderbird. Some time in the afternoon Thunderbird started eating my emails - never to be seen again. Then Incredimail started going all wonky. Realize that incoming emails were being sent to Incredimail as well as Thunderbird. So I said, "The hell with it. I think Incredimail is causing the problems with Thunderbird and I have what I need." I immediately uninstalled Incredimail and, voila, Thunderbird works just fine.
Holy Mass in Idaho
The diocese of Idaho has shut down all public Masses starting tomorrow and through Palm Sunday.
In just the past few days my parish, St. Joan of Arc (Post Falls, ID), purchased the necessary equipment and is already live streaming Mass - and we thank them.
I had planned to attend our last Mass (today at 12:15), but decided to err on the side of caution and watch the live stream. Does that show a lack of faith in God's protection? Oh, hell noes! If that was the case people (who were insane) would be flinging themselves off the tops of 50 story buildings thinking God would catch them.

Yesterday I was sitting around getting ready to plan my week since I failed to do so on Sunday night. President Trump's presser was on the radio and I heard him say that the Wuflu may me a problem until July or August.
My spidey sense quivered and ratcheted up to the red zone. I knew the fearful insane masses (admittedly fewer in number in beautiful North Idaho), who are willing to hand their freedoms over to a government which doesn't give a damn about their welfare, were going to go even more nutty then they already were.
So I headed out to round out my supplies "just in case."
As I made my rounds ($Store, Wallyworld, and local grocery store) I met up with a plethora of nice people who came to the same conclusion as I had and were also topping off their supplies. We had wonderful conversations and several of them are now friends on Facecrap.
The job our president is doing at attempting to keep the masses calm is phenomenal, although the Godless commie/libtards will never, ever admit this. The pagan left is too busy trying to sneak abortion funding into virus bills because in their world nothing should slow down the slaughter of little humans.
Testimony to the good job our president is doing is the people he has appointed to key positions such as Dr.Deborah Birx - a very impressive spokesperson. Take Care of Yourself
If you are becoming all stressed out over this nonsense you need to stop it. Right now.
Stress does terrible things to the adrenal glads which not only produce adrenaline, but also cortisol which helps regulate metabolism and helps your body respond to stress, and aldosterone, which helps control blood pressure. You don't want to mess up those glands that look like cute little bonnets on top of your kidneys. If the sun is shining where you are - go for a walk. Take a nap. Read a good book.
