How about a little Costco update rant?  I hit up Costco yesterday (Wed.) to cash in my rewards check and cancel my membership. I actually donned a mask - the only time I've done so in this entire ridiculous mask mandating time only because Costco has become one of those country major mask nazis.  I really wanted my $541.00 with as little fuss as possible. 

 I hopped in the customer service line, and was about 4 feet behind the woman in front of me. She turned around and said, "Aren't you supposed to be 6 feet away from me?" 

After just staring at her for a moment or two, I pulled down my mask and said, in my best Catholic school girl manner, "Idiot!" 

She displayed virtual signaling shock to which I said, "Yes - you heard me right." 

She then suggested that maybe I shouldn't be shopping there. Bingo, you bit*h. That's the plan.

And there in, my sweet petunias, is the main reason I won't be shopping there, staying 6 feet away from the elitist sheeple who are crammed into that warehouse.  It looks like a TB ward with hundreds of masked up germ spreaders.

After I left with my $541.00 rewards cash, I had a lovely time at the Carpet Warehouse picking out new flooring for my bathroom, Grocery Outlet, where I snagged a bunch of cute sunglasses and other cool stuff, Super 1 Foods for 98 cent per pound asparagus, and Ace Hardware for paint.  In none of the following venues was a mask required and more than half the peeps were free and unmasked.

just a quickie.

Our internet access continues to be sporadic, and it's driving me slightly batty. Posting will be spotty until I find a new internet provider.  AT&T's solution is to buy a new modem (approx $175.00), which may or may not work. I don't think so. I'll be liaising with my computer guru to ascertain my next steps. 

One Tab is up to 327 saved tabs of information, which in my opinion is important.

But you know what's really important? Doing the stuff my station in life demands of me.

And I don't think my station in life is to spoon feed information to people who are more than capable of ferreting out the truth all by themselves.

Cynical? You betcha.

What do you expect, when according to the LA Times, 96.4 million people tuned in to watch a football game comprised of players who hate America, advertisers who despise you, and millionaire entertainers who insult you and think you're a rube. 

Seriously folks? 

These are the same people who are backing this sham-wow dog and pony show going on in DC.  Were these fools in DC elected, and getting paid over 200K a year to waste their time trying to destroy the best president this country has ever had?

Apparently so.

And 96.4 million people hunkered down in their homes under house arrest, grateful for being thrown a crumb of entertainment, and pretending how we're living is normal. Does it get anymore depressing than that?

The Burning Platform’s Jim Quinn has a a two-parter that makes me look positively cheerful. Part one, A Strange Game, lays out what the heck is going on, and Part two is his prescription for how we move forward.  I'm in agreement on at least 90% of his suggestions in part two. The other 10% will take a bit of rumination. 

In the meantime - keep the faith. Pray and tend to your station in life like your life depends on it, because it does, 

 

David Horowitz is the new Whittaker Chambers...

 and we owe them both a debt of gratitude.

Both Whittaker Chambers and David Horowitz know communism from the inside out since they became great patriots after defecting from the communist party. 

Chamber's became well known as the leading force behind the famous Alger Hiss trial that led to Hiss's conviction for perjury related to espionage in 1950.  

Chamber's died in 1961. In 1984 Pres. Ronald Reagan awarded Chambers the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Whittaker Chamber's book, Witness*, is available on Amazon and is a must read

Yesterday, David Horowitz posted an essay at Powerline.  It was powerful enough for Rush to read today on his show. I've read just about all of Horowitz's books. I like them all, but my favorite is Radical Son*, which points out the incredibly ugly under belly of communism - up to and including murder.  He has a new book coming out from Regnery next April titled The Enemy Within: How A Totalitarian Movement is Destroying America. You can be sure it will be on my reading list.

Please read all of his essay Fighting Words at Powerline, but pay special attention to his closing paragraph stating why democrats are able to get away with the havoc they are raining down on our country, the citizens, and the economy:

But the only reason Democrats are able to do this so successfully – even going so far as to justify the arson, looting and general destruction in more than 600 American cities this summer – is because Republicans, and conservatives generally, are too cowardly to confront them. This war will continue until patriotic Americans summon the courage to call Democrats the racists, liars, character assassins and aspiring totalitarians that they actually are. And to do so in so many words. Blowback works.

Today the sight of the majority of people all masked up at the Dollar Store, Wallyworld, and Ace Hardware signaled to me that they would gladly climb into a boxcar if ordered to do so. Don't be those people!

the madness is an epidemic.  

I go very few places anymore, and when I do, the number of people with filthy rags tied on their faces is shocking and appalling.

To be fair, I'm way less affected by all of this than many other people.  Having a big part of my "social life" revolving around errand running had me thinking that maybe I should rethink how I interact with others.

I realized, after smacking myself upside the head, that how we live our lives should be our decision - not forced on us by a tyrannical government.

I like the advice given by Deana Chadwell over at American Thinker today:

"So. Are we going to take this lying down? No. We’re Americans. We think and we fight and we can do this fighting in the privacy of our own thoughts by holding those thoughts accountable. How?"

1. By making sure the thoughts we entertain are our own. Are we saying, “Trump’s an a—hole,” because the evidence is plentiful and we can cite the sources? Or have we just heard that said so often that that’s how we see him?

2. By consciously separating our emotions from our thinking. A thought has a rational basis -- emotional reactions do not. Thoughts fit together in non-contradictory ways -- emotions are all over the place. Fear is an emotion that, when nursed and allowed to boss us around, can be as deadly as any virus, especially this virus, which has an over 99% recovery rate.

3. By talking to people. I read the other day that 67% of Americans are afraid to express their political opinions.  Of course we are -- people are getting fired, expelled, and ostracized for doing so.  But here’s where we have to suck it up and do so anyway -- calmly (see #2) and kindly, but forcefully. Our president does this, and yes, the left hates him for it, but we all know he tells the truth and truth is the only thing that will hold our minds together.  If we can’t tell the truth, we can’t avoid lying, and if we must continually lie, we can’t stay sane.

4. Speaking of truth, we hold onto our thoughts by connecting them always to our Creator, who is the author of truth. As all this evil swirls around us, we must remember that His goodness will prevail; it always does. If we can’t figure out what the truth is, we can know that He knows and is in control.

5. We can also counter the untruths by being more studious. We must learn history – our angry young people think slavery was an American invention and that only blacks were enslaved -- dangerous misunderstandings. But we can fix this by learning civics -- knowing our constitution; by learning science and knowing how off Darwinian theory really is; by learning what the Bible actually says, and not just what some false prophet claims it says.

Now I have much outside caulking to do in a quest to finish painting my house before snow falls.  I treated myself to a new "no drip" caulk gun to replace my two ancient ones.
