Is the entire country suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?…

it’s entirely possible.  At least for those of us who are paying attention.

I apologize for my long absence.  I attribute it to PTSD.

by Adrienne

The Mayo Clinic describes PTSD as:
Post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms may start within three months of a traumatic event, but sometimes symptoms may not appear until years after the event. These symptoms cause significant problems in social or work situations and in relationships.
PTSD symptoms are generally grouped into four types: intrusive memories, avoidance, negative changes in thinking and mood, or changes in emotional reactions. source
A traumatic event doesn’t have to originate on the battlefield. I would categorize the re-election of Obama as a traumatic event.  Re-read the symptoms, and tell me they don’t apply to what’s going on in this country.  I’m going to stick to national rather than international events so we’re not too overwhelmed.

We are daily bombarded by bad news and intrusive government.  The millions of people who are out of work with no impending prospects for a job are most certainly suffering a traumatic event.  House foreclosed?  I’d call that pretty traumatic.  How about losing your health insurance or having your rates skyrocket?

People are becoming more reluctant to express an opinion for fear of the politically correct social justice warriors ruining their lives – both economically and socially.

Schools no longer teach children, but instead try to indoctrinate them into a progressive world view.  When they’re not compliant enough, the parents are threatened and coerced into giving them dangerous drugs.  In every case of the recent mass shootings, the perpetrators had been taking psychotropic drugs. read the rest at DaTechGuy

Did Pope Francis call Mohammad Abbas an Angel of Peace?...

apparently not.

From DaTechGuy:

Pope Francis & the MSM : Steven Kruiser gets it
Almost since the day he was elected I’ve been telling people that the MSM is spinning Pope Francis’ actual words, but my warnings have been to no avail.
So you can’t imagine how great it is to see Steven Kruiser get it
What has befuddled me and several of my conservative friends who are also devout Roman Catholics is the willingness of our conservative friends to take news about this pope at face value from MSM outlets that aren’t trusted for anything else.
He’s referring to this AP story that claims the Pope called Mohammad Abbas the head of the Palestinian authority an “Angel of peace”.

It’s  a lie:

There is no substitute for reality

Datechguy's latest Examiner article is up...

Peter answers some questions about the Tea Party movement
How can an under 2 year old movement produce such results? How is it that the Democratic party in general and the White House in particular can't seem to cope?

This is awful...

DaTechGuy's post, “It’s the right decision for me” led me to a site where a woman is talking about her upcoming abortion.  I took the time to read the comments after reading her post.  Since most of my readers (that's you ;-) share my conservative values, if not my Catholic faith, I'm sure your reaction will be the same.  It is  heartbreaking to see what our secular culture has done to people.

DaTechguy sums it up well:
Anger and hatred however righteous in this case will achieve very little, but prayer and compassion might. Let’s try it. If God thinks that Angie’s soul is worth the effort, who are we to say otherwise? be sure and read his entire post

CPAC

Holy Cannoli & Feisty Fedoras

DaTechguy is running wild at CPAC

My favorite phone buddy, Peter (daTechguy) has been let loose at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference.)  First day out and his blog is packed solid with great interviews, videos, and enticing pictures of the cannoli he smuggled onto the plane.

Joining him with coverage is Smitty and Stacy McCain.  Smitty is live blogging and getting ready to post pictures.  I'm definitely going next year!!!
