Dinner with Butch Otter, Governor of the great conservative state of Idaho...

was a heap of fun.

Mike Threadgill

Two of my dinner companions were a handsome father/son duo.  Mr. Michael Threadgill and his father Mr. Joe Threadgill, owners of Keller Williams Realty in Coeur d'Alene, agreed to sit at my table if I kept my hands to myself.  I did. They're happy.  I survived...

I saw other friends that I had worked with at Costco in Spokane, plus all my local conservative friends, many of whom are running for political offices of one kind or another.

Everyone was dressed beautifully (I opted for the
long skirt for those who have asked.)  Men in suits and ties look so handsome.  Even the dinner was pretty darn good.

Early evening as folks started to arrive (sorry for the fuzzy)

Our wonderful governor, Butch Otter, surprised many of us by joining up with some local talent to strum and sing a song.

We had a huge birthday cake for Governor Otter who turns SEVENTY on May 3rd.   Okay.  That sure doesn't look like seventy (but then, I don't look like 66) so what the hay...

All in all - a good night with good people.

I'm having dinner with the governor tonight...

okay - there might be a few other folks there too.
The Panhandle Pachyderm Club of Post Falls would like to invite you to join us for a unifying celebration as together we work toward victory in November. The event is called “Unifying for November, Diversity is Our Strength.” It will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012, at the Templin's Red Lion Inn in Post Falls. The doors will open at 5:30pm with a no-host social hour at 6:00pm and dinner about 6:45pm. Our guest speaker will be Governor Butch Otter.

Templin's Resort on the Spokane river just minutes away from my home...

Governor Otter of the great conservative state of Idaho.  Handsome man.  I'm looking forward to meeting him.

Dinner:

Big decision.  Do I wear a long skirt or a short skirt.  Life can be so difficult sometimes...

Idaho governor accepts invite from Tea Party of Spokane
When the Tea Party of Spokane holds its first-anniversary celebration and rally at the Spokane Convention Center on Thursday – tax day – its lead speaker will be Idaho Gov. Butch Otter.

The Gem State’s chief executive, who’s been drawing national attention for filing suit against national health care reform and who’s currently in a six-way GOP primary contest in his re-election bid, jumped at the chance, organizers said.

“He was happy as a clam – he was just absolutely stoked,” said Kirk Smith, vice president and spokesman for Tea Party of Spokane.  read the rest
