About the new header...

a formal thank you to the most creative photoshopper I know.

And that person is?

Drum roll, please

Curmudgeon at Political Clown Parade

She's so creative that I think the sight of my minimalist approach (aka as boring and blank) was giving her hives when she visited.  So, to save herself from a bunch of scratching, she created that wonderful header and gifted it to me.

Let's hear a big round of applause for Curmudgeon!!

Better yet, head over to her place and tell her what a genius she is.

Sponsored Links

I've been having some computer problems lately.  In the course of doing some repair work it came to my attention that there are all sorts of sponsored links on the bottom of my posts.  Since I've had Adblocker Plus for many years they weren't visible to me.

I've been doing a bunch of searching around the nets for a way to get rid of them, but no luck so far.

If anyone knows how to get rid of them, please email me and let me know how.  Thanks

Political Clown Parade: 4th Annual Paul Revere Awards...

nominate your favorites.

It's that time of year again.  Head over to Political Clown Parade and nominate your favorite blog for this years Paul Revere Award.

I have a busy day looming and will be absent until this afternoon.  (Ladies, see the link below.)

Fourth Annual Paul Revere Award

 From PCP:

In 2013 I decided to honor bloggers whose work was filled “with the breathings of their heart.”  I refer to the bloggers whose sites are small in comparison to the “corporate” blogs that have an army of writers, resources and capital.  These are the good people who feed our soul—who make us laugh at ourselves or life—and restore our buoyancy in a troubled world.  They champion freedom of expression.

The brave and resolute men and women behind those blogs hold down jobs and raise their families or selflessly provide care for loved ones.  Unfortunately, they are often overlooked. They possess an unwavering dedication to inform and warn their readers.

I chose Paul Revere as the icon for the award because he was an American patriot whose legendary “Midnight Ride” to warn the colonists of Massachusetts before the historic battles at Lexington and Concord played a vital role in America’s struggle to gain independence from Britain.  read the rest and nominate your favorites

For the Ladies:

I have a sweet blog I love to visit by a devout Christian lady who lives her faith in a most surprising way.  Lydia, who blogs at Home Living, believes in the importance of women taking pride in how they run their homes, instruct their children, and treat their husband.

Many may find her rather old-fashioned.  I find her to be a breath of fresh air and an inspiration.  Take a moment and read her post on how much news is too much for a lady to indulge in and check out some of her other posts while you're there.

I've had just about enough of the crazy talk...

from everyone.

I don't care anymore who you support, or who you hate.  It's irrelevant.  People on both sides of the aisle are starting to sound completely unhinged.

I present to you two articles from people who are most clearly not unhinged.

I'm taking the rest of the day off.  Looking forward to dining at Costco. Can you say Polish dog?

The stench of American politics has left me with a sick-to-my-stomach feeling.  The GOP and the so-called “conservative movement” has descended into schizophrenia.

I get that our leftist overlords aspire to proliferate the fundamental transformation of America promised eight years ago by the community organizer from Chicago.  I get that these creatures have called conservatives hideous pejoratives. read the rest

Can Donald Trump Unify a Republican Party He Fractured?

By Hardnox |

Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace:

Trump didn’t fracture the Republican party.  The Republican party fractured itself by totally ignoring the base after making promises to stop the Obama administration in its tracks.  Instead, the Republican party hoisted the white flag of surrender withing hours of the 2014 election and has aided and abetted the Obama agenda.  Naturally, we exploded in disgust.  Blaming trump is blatantly absurd and dishonest.

Wallace is a lackey for the establishment with his moronic questions.  Where is his reporting on the protesters organized by MoveOn.org?  How about hauling George Soros in and asking him why his surrogates are organizing and funding the lemmings going to these rallies? read the rest

An award from Political Clown Parade...

and I am truly honored!

From Curmudgeon at Political Clown Parade, who is an outstanding blogger and Photoshop expert extraordinaire:
[...]These bloggers are but a few of the brave and resolute men and women who hold down jobs and raise their families while standing guard over liberty. They don’t have big advertising on their sites nor do they have a bevy of contributing writers.  They pore over information and bring their opinions to their readers in order to inform and warn.

They have the keen zest of the citizen whose patriotism is of the lusty type that causes them to take an active part in politics.  They add humor and common sense.  They deserve to be recognized.

To receive this at a time when my spirits are low is a gift of magnificent proportions...

Thank you, Curmudgeon!

Other winners:

If you are not acquainted with these fine people, now would be a good day to visit.  I count them all as friends.
