So what's going on... w/ Update

might be better to ask what's not going on - and it all makes me weary.

The title may or may not be visible and I've also noticed that many comments (mostly mine) have disappeared.  Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Update:

Videos up and running...

Break for Announcement

As most of you know by now Blogger has been down since yesterday.  It's been very peaceful.   This is the post I was working on when things went south.  I was at least smart enough to copy and paste the entire post into Word.  Turned out to be a very good decision.

Now YouTube is acting up and I can't get to the videos I posted.  Sigh...

Back to original post from May 12th, approximately 12:30pm PDT ...

For two days in a row, my Google Reader has been bulging at the seams.  I keep bringing it back to zero and 4 hours later it's back up to a number that rivals the amount of the national debt.  Most of it consists of one blogger after another repeating what some other blogger is repeating from some other blogger, and on and on.

Over the past few months, I've tried to limit posting to items that (IMO) 1. need to be known, 2. if I have something to add that's already known, or 3.  if something catches my eye, which could easily be a LOL kitteh, that seems to be an important issue.  In most cases, like now, I really have nothing to add so I'll leave it to the other hyper-bloggers to report.

But......................I still have some other thoughts (you could almost smell this coming, couldn't you?):

Last night we had rehearsal at church for Confirmation .  One girl showed up in teeny, tiny short-shorts that left little to the imagination. Hello?  Where is mom and dad?  Or how about the sponsor saying, "not on my watch."  Just sayin'.

And then we had to hear all the best catch phrases that have infiltrated the Church, i.e. community, family, and fellowship.  Not necessarily bad words, just words being badly used.

Bet I'm on the wrong side of this issue...

Blue did a recap of the LSU flag burning brouhaha.  He ventured no opinion either for or against. From what I've read on the subject, the pro-flag folks acted just as reprehensibly as that fellow who, not being able to obtain a permit to burn, was only going to read a statement.  Just suppose for a moment that no one showed up to hear the statement.  Would it have mattered?  Chasing him around and throwing crap at him and screaming obscenities was not very productive.  Don't those spoiled  kids have finals to study for?
While I agree with standing up for our principles, it does not include acting as stupidly as the loony left. To do so means they've won.

Reaganite Republican posted more thoughts on Donald Trump.  I applaud RR's willingness to stand up for what he believes. Part of his post consists of statements Trump made in New Hampshire, and if taken at face value, if they indeed represent the truth of who Trump is, he has my vote (if he even runs.)

Newt Gingrich?  Well, ol' Newt highlights what I think is a huge problem with many folks of the older generation.  These people have no lives or interests other than their chosen profession - in this case, politics.  If they did, they would be all too happy to retire and do some fun things.  And why is politics considered a "profession" anyway?

I guess Mitt Romney is declaring Obamacare a disaster waiting to happen, but Romneycare is A-ok, or something.  He went so far as to say he "wouldn’t apologize for the healthcare plan he installed during his time in office." As the kids say, "whatever."

Some weird company has conjured up an "Obama as Navy Seal" action figure doll.  Problem is, it has Moochelle's body and Obama's head.  Navy Seals should be speechless with anger and embarrassment to see a man who has not even done any armed service time, and wouldn't know an M-16 from an arugala, duded up like a Navy Seal.  Creative Minority Report brings up another problem with the doll.

In Minnesota, a constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage took a decisive step Wednesday toward ending up on the 2012 ballot.  During the debates, openly gay Sen. Scott Dibble, DFL-Minneapolis,  showed a picture of himself and his partner, Richard, and emotionally asked, "what is so different about us?"   Really?  You have to ask?

Republican Mother brings up some good points:  Herman Cain, Really?

Much work and research went into her post and it should be widely read.

As I said in my comment on her post (cue the racist accusations in 3....2.....1...)
I'm with you. Something doesn't "feel" right about this adoration of Cain.
Another thought (definitely not PC) - don't you think it's a bit obvious to run a black against Obama? It's like buying into the whole, "I'm not racist, some of best friends are blacks" shtick.
We live in a country that is about 12% black and all we can find to run for president are two black guys?

Calling Out Marxism in the Church

Anyone Catholic who doesn't believe Marxists have infiltrated the Church is not paying attention, and is engaging in willing suspension of disbelief, or employing normalcy bias.

To be posted when YouTube is fixed... it's fixed

The following videos are from Over Population is a Myth.com
Go there to read the science and see other episode.

I can hear lefty heads exploding and their squeaky little voices saying, "I don't care.  Don't mess with how I "feel" or bother me with facts."

A Marxist by any other name...

is still a Marxist.

While wandering around reading this and that, I came upon "Is It Time To Turn Up The Anti-Marxist Heat" over at Conservatives on Fire.  Mr. Gourdie believes we are headed for a train wreck, and I believe he is completely correct. He also has two different possible outcomes, after the debris is scraped off the train tracks.
My friends, I believe that our best strategy is to assume that the train wreck will happen. Many conservative/libertarian pundits have hoped for this train wreck to occur sooner rather than later. The idea being that the sooner it happens the sooner we conservative/libertarians can start rebuilding the America that our Founders had in mind. But, this position assumes that the people will blame the liberal/marxist for the train wreck. Not a good assumption, in my opinion.
You see, many liberal/marxist pundits also have been wishing for the train to wreck sooner rather than later. Why? Because they believe that they can convince the people who it was the capitalist free market system touted by the conservative/libertarians that caused the train wreck. And, therefore, it will be they that the people will follow in building their new socialist state.
Mr. Gourdie is leaning toward the second scenario, which I would agree with, based on how quickly people have been led down the path of socialism without so much as a whimper.   When you have a situation where over half of the citizens of a country are on some sort of "entitlement", it doesn't bode well for the future of a republic.

On the other hand, these same people have had their initiative drained from them and replaced with a weak personal constitution that is not likely to have prepared them for any kind of hardship.  People with no imagination or initiative, who are cut off from their hand-outs, are going to become frustrated and dangerous.

How about the "elitist" social justice types?  They'll be the ones running about trying to convince the raging crowd of "entitlement" people that it's the fault of capitalism.  And that won't be too hard to accomplish.  Take a look at how easy it was to stir up the masses in Wisconsin over the recent union brouhaha.  Seemingly intelligent middle class types morphed into some sort of recreation of the Night of the Living Dead.

Let's Call It What It Is

Now we get to the good part.  Mr. Gourdie suggests that we start calling Marxism, well - Marxism.  Not while sitting around the dining room table in our safe little homes, but directly to the people that espouse those principles.  Since I have never been one to mince words, I still have a rather typical  American female tendency to aspire to "niceness" in order to avoid confrontation.

After a pep talk from Mr. Gourdie, that's all going to change.  From now on, when someone starts spouting out a bunch of Marxist ideologies, I'm going to look them in the eye and in my most pleasant voice say, "Oh, then you're a Marxist."

I became tired of being on the defensive the last time I was called upon to "explain" something to someone that did not warrant or deserve an explanation.  And I'm tired of living in a country with a president who, along with his loony left cohorts, continually puts the conservatives on the defensive. I'm tired of being called a racist, a nut-job, and a bitter clinger.  There's nothing whatsoever "bitter" about any of the clinging that I, or any of my friends, do.

Mr. Gourdie equates this approach to demagoguery because it will "scare people about the possibility of a Soviet style state."  If demagoguery amounts to  "impassioned appeals to the prejudices and emotions of the populace", as defined by the dictionary, then this approach could only be considered as truth telling because these people are beyond "scaring."   It's time we start calling, at the risk of being called racist, a spade a spade.

Speaking of Being Called Racist

As Zilla so succinctly says, earning her the coveted Quote of the Day Award, as well as kudos for birthing a new word to go with her previous "goonion."

Take Your Racerism and Shove It!

They keep using the "you're a racist!" ploy because it works. People don't know how to respond to it, so they get flustered and try to explain how they are not racist, which just makes them look worse (ex. "B-b-b-ut but I have black friends!" *eye roll*) and it completely derails whatever point was originally trying to be made. As if one has just had poo thrown at them and splattered on their clothes, they are no longer thinking about what they were supposed to be doing and are instead completely focused on doing whatever it takes to get that poo off of them, only to learn (too late) that attempts to wipe it off just drives it deeper into the fibers of the cloth, leaving a horrible smelly stain. read it all
Bottom line?  They keep calling us "racists", which is not provably true, so why the heck are we so afraid to call them Marxists, which is provably true?

BUSTED! Conyers Meets With Marxists - How Democrat Politics REALLY Works

I challenge everyone to go out in the world today and use the word conspiracy.  Just let it roll off your tongue and flit about in the air.  It will feel so good.  I promise!

America Magazine and Patrick Madrid

This is not just a Catholic issue:

It isn't often that I read things that make my blood boil to the point it threatenes to roast my brain. Yesterday on Patrick Madrid's blog he posted a reply he sent to the National Catholic Reporter about an op-ed piece written by a certain Sister Maureen Fiedler, in which she extolled the virtues of Edward Kennedy and claimed "he made her proud to be Catholic."

Patrick wrote a well thought out response, and in no way personally denigrated Kennedy or Sister Fiedler. A person by the name of Michael Sean Winters wrote a response to Patrick in America Magazine's group blog area, a publication of the Jesuits.

To quote Patrick:

"In just six irate paragraphs, he manages to brand me me a "boor," a "loudmouth," "ignorant of history," "callous," "inhumane," "indecent," and "hateful" — all the while insinuating that my comments on this issue (and those of other pro-life people) are simply a "rant."

I'm not sure exactly when the majority of the Jesuits decided they didn't want to be the "Pope's men" anymore. America magazine is an almost completely dissident, un-Catholic publication. It oozes with condescension toward authentic Catholic teachings and those that try to adhere to it. And the National Catholic Reporter is, as my pastor says, not fit to be used for bird cage liner.

Brian McLaren

And while I'm still heated up, let's chat about Brian McLaren. This leader in the emergent church movement, is celebrating Ramadan this month along with his Muslim "brothers and sisters." I've got news for you Brian - Muslim's would rather cut off your head than celebrate Ramadan with you.

Many of the main stream Protestants object to McLaren because they fear he is "too Catholic", due to his fascination with centering prayer, Tai Chi, radical environmentalism, multi-culturalism, and social justice (which is code for Marxism.) Let me be very clear (as The One is so fond of saying), none of these things are authentically Catholic, and should be avoided by any person who wants to call themselves Catholic or Christian.

And how about them Evangelical Lutherans? By cracky - they're so with it, doncha know!

Now the Evangelical Lutheran churches in America can have Pastor Bob and Bruce comfortably and lovingly holding hands due to their "committed relationship", while they lead their flock in prayer and teach the Word of God.

Marxists, Fascists, and other assorted enemies...

What is going on in our churches is just one more way for people like Barack Obama to obtain their ends. It is encouraged and welcomed. Destroy the faith of millions and replace it with a brand new faith. Replace faith in God and Our Savior, Jesus Christ, with a faith centered on the state. This is what they want and they're doing a great job.

The elitist, educated beyond their intelligence types, who run execrable rags such as America and the National Catholic Reporter, the denominations that normalize un-natural sexual practices, and all the New Age aficionado's, are being played like a violin. Unfortunately, the violin has broken strings.
