don't believe me?
Yesterday I picked up some meds at our pharmacy. They informed me that they knew of five doctors in our small town of about 28K** who have quit. One doctor packed up his family and went to New Zealand. The average patient load for a single doctor is 2000. That means that 10K people in a town of 28K lost their doctor.
They also said there was now only one doctor who would see Medicare patients, but they weren't sure if he was accepting new patients.
You can have all the insurance in the world, but if you don't have a doctor it won't do you a bit of good.

**That's the population of the city of Post Falls. When one includes the surrounding areas, it's higher. For instance, we live minutes from the city center yet we live in the county, not the city.
