Newt in Coeur d' Alene - Up close and personal...

and Callista was here too.

We arrived at 5:15 and luckily they were giving out wrist bands.  However, there was no seating in the event and doors didn't open until 6:30 so we hung out by the entry door.  Only 400 hundred peeps were admitted.

The crowd at  5:30 waiting outside the entry doors.

Our diligence paid off as we scored a place on the rope line.

Veteran for Newt

Callista is introduced

She's very tiny and very pretty (even with the hair.)  And if you're wondering - no, it doesn't move, but seems to work with her overall look.  Her posture is perfect, her diction and voice modulation lovely, her clothes are impeccably tailored, she wears stockings (thank goodness), and her skirt covers her knees.  Overall, she is quite a lady.

Callista introduces Newt

Hi!  Newt. Welcome to Coeur d'Alene

Newt is very funny and obviously very smart.  He has real solutions for the problems we are facing and I believe he would make a very good president.  I know this sounds somewhat like a statement made by a grade schooler writing a "what I did for vacation" thingy, but really folks - we've been on our feet for four hours, it was hot as hell, and we're tired and it's now almost 11:00 pm.  I'll try to sparkle a bit tomorrow.
