I do call soda "pop" and am forever being asked if I'm from Chicago.
Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, moved to Houston, Texas when I was 16 for about 15 years, back to Minneapolis for 2 years, 12 years in Arizona, and about 23 years in Idaho (All figures are approximate as they add up to more than my age by a few years - in case anyone does the addition.) For the record, I'm only 66, but I'm still a "young" lady.
