Chicago police are examining a video and interviewing witnesses to try to find out who was among a gang of young people who attacked and stabbed a 25-year-old man in the Lakeview neighborhood late Sunday.

This is from tonight, July 3, 2011. This happened on Halsted street in the 3300 block. This is exactly the types of violence that we have been bringing to light and complaining about.
The victim received multiple stab wounds to the chest and back, but is currently in stable/good condition. Hopefully this event will bring some increased awareness to the residents and patrons of the neighborhood who are concerned for everyone's safety.
This is the 3rd stabbing within 3 weeks on Halsted in this immediate area.

I just heard about this on Fox News. Thank you for posting the video.
The news has covered this alot out here, quite surprising. This is in another very nice area of the city for shopping and food. It's "boys town" the very gay area, but those guys are standing up to the thugs and gathering vid evidence.
