I've quickly figured out the left hates him and that's a good thing.
I admit to having to do some study of Rick Santorum before I could offer an opinion.
Teresamerica has an interesting interview with him on her site.
And Zilla is fairly enamored of him, too.
Your thoughts?
I'm off to a local zoning meeting. For those who asked - hubby's heart is pure gold. It's chugging right along like a good heart is supposed to. Even the gal who did the echocardiogram was impressed.

I'm so glad that your hubby's heart is healthy! Yay!
Thanks for the linky love, I'm going to go and check out Teresa's post right now.
good to hear about the heart! :)
Good news on the heart.
As for Santorum, he voted for the Medidare RX benefits. He voted for much of the big budget crap during the Bush administration. He is solidly pro-life, but beyond that, social issues are not the core issues this time. The economy needs to be the focus.
He probably voted for the big prescription benefits as he was/is a board member of United Health Services, a hospital operator. He's also a Washington lawyer - trust level dropping...
I agree with Matt, social issues don't mean much when you can't afford a loaf of bread.
He is too much like Bush.
Santorum is one of the closest to what I'm looking for more than most the of other candidates. Of course Hubby's is strong like bull ... he puts up with you doesn't he.
Too much Bush, not enough Reagan:
I saw an op-ed in a Charleston paper that summed up my thoughts pretty well: "Throughout Bush’s debt doubling agenda—No Child Left Behind, Medicare Plan D, you name it—Santorum was fully on board. And for that entire period, the Republican Party was completely off course."
This year I am voting on the economy. I don't need a President to dabble in my social issues, especially when there's zero chance the Congress will produce anything of value there anyway.
I don't know too much about him...being that I was a Democrat for most of my life before the far left progressives took over the party. After that, I turned totally away from the Democratic party and now consider myself an Independent. Not ready to say I'm a Republican---I'm equally uncomfortable with the far right in that party. I guess I'm just in the middle, trying to find my nitch, so to speak.
Need to read up on Santorum and I thank you for the links that you provided. As noted, if you Google his name there are a lot of left wing stories about him that I wouldn't believe because I don't trust anything written by the new progressive Democratic Party.
good luck to hubby and hugs to u my friend!:)
Leaning Bachmann here...
@ Reaganite Republican. OMG bring on Bachmann what a landslide that will be!!!!
Great news on your husband's health!
As to Santorum-'school's still out' for me ...
Don't trust anyone who has been in Washington for any length of time---
