National Endowment for the Arts

Thanks to Lola for this link.

I was unable to listen to Glenn Beck today except for a few snatches here and there. I did hear a reference to the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts), an organization funded with our tax dollars.

It appears the NEA by way of Rock the Vote has asked some of their "artists" to produce propaganda art for government health care and other contentious issues. Lola has hope that even the liberals will take offense at Obama's use of tax payer money to advance his Marxist causes. I have no such hope!

Am I the only person that finds this poster creepy?

UPDATE: What the NEA Says Vs. Documented Facts
by Patrick Courrielche

What does it mean when a government official evades the truth?

On August 25th, I published an article discussing a conference call hosted by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the White House Office of Public Engagement, and United We Serve that invited a group of art community luminaries “to help lay a new foundation for growth, focusing on core areas of the recovery agenda - health care, energy and environment, safety and security, education, community renewal.” read the rest at Big Hollywood

Dear Adrienne,

In the black and white NEA poster that shows the guy who lost his arm, it sure looks to me like he has his elbow and upper arm under his shirt. It's an old trick that theater and movie people do all the time; see "The Vikings" with Kirk Douglas etc, or "Moby Dick" with Gregory Peck, or Disney's "Treasure Island."

MM - I noticed that too. I think it looks like half a swastika.

Old Bob - I went back and looked at the picture and I think you're right. I was too busy trying to understand the message which in a nutshell was:

I was too stupid or stoned to get my infection treated and I lost my arm. Insurance had nothing to do with the issue.

Dear Adrienne and MM - what looks like an S, and like an R when reversed, is, I bet, half of the Nazi SS emblem; the jagged S's were supposed to be lightning flashes, I think; certainly an old Germanic rune. The rock band KISS uses the same S's.
