Our Current President Speaks Again
and again, and again, and again.
*****Last night I listened to our current President as he dissembled, rambled, prevaricated, and labored to hide the fact that he was reading from the monitor embedded in the podium.
*****This morning I stumbled on this wonderful blog, The Modern Gal, who is a self professed grammar nerd. She found a diagram of an Obama sentence at The Grammar Vandal and passed it on.
The sentence: “My view is also that nobody’s above the law, and, if there are clear instances of wrongdoing, that people should be prosecuted just like any ordinary citizen, but that, generally speaking, I’m more interested in looking forward than I am in looking backwards.”
The diagram:
It Finally Happened
*****My Google Reader is now over 1000. I have no idea of how far over 'cause they quit counting at 1000 and only add a plus sign. I wiped out about 100 items and I'm still at 1000+.
Oh my!

43 Percent of French Catholics Want Pope to "Step Down"
ROME, March 23, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A pair of polls released in France show that increasing numbers of French people want Pope Benedict to "step down." According to Catholic commentators, the polls come at a time of unprecedented hostility in the media to the Pope's reiteration of Catholic sexual morality. read more
Due to my little hand problem (quickly on the mend), I am a bit behind on work. I'll see you all later after I pack ebay items, go to the Post Office, FedEx, bank, hit the gym, and continue on with painting my bathroom.
We've already managed to pop into Costco, buy ammo at Black Sheep, and visit my doctor.

I hope your hand is feeling better.
You know, back when the Iraq war began and France was acting all wishy washy, I basically washed my hands of them. They made me mad that my grandfather fought to free them from Hitler. So now I say to their crying about the Pope "who cares what the French think".
Hey, since you've got 1,000 blogs on your reader, you may have missed my give away for a pound of local coffee and a new mug. Head over and check it out.
Curious. My (....) boss says the same thing: "Let's move forward"-usually when she wants me to conveniently forget something while she hangs onto to her anger about it forever. Coincindence?
I was just reading an answer the President gave to a question on escr and he did a very good job of looking like he answered the question when he didn't answer it at all.
Good heavens - over a thousand?
You must be feeling okay if you can paint. Hope your hand continues to mend.
Re: comment on P's blog. NINE!!!! Need any more pallets? LOL
Ok, so I flunked the whole diagramming thing. I listened to his 'speech' or whatever it was last night, and I couldn't help but think 'he didn't answer any of those questions straigtfoward manner. I honestly couldn't even figure out what he was saying, which was frustrating to me because I WANT to know the ANSWER! I am a concerned person, and those legitimate questions were not given a legitimate answer! I was so confused I just turned it off. By the way, I think we have a pretty awesome pope. Even Dr. Laura gave mention of him on her show a few days ago, and she's a Jew. She first off said she didn't understand his condom ramblings and then after much mental deliberation she decided he was right. Go figure. We need to pray for that man before he gets assasinated by those pathetic french idiots.
43% of the French want the Pope to step down? Does that mean the other 57% have surrendered?
Motherhen - hand is soooo much better. Doctor sent me on my merry way today. Still have to finish all the antibiotics, though...
The French are wimps (very, very well dressed wimps, to be sure;-)
Headed over for the give away!
Cathy - baffle them with the old bull sh_t....doncha know!
Therese - I never understand anything he says and people who thinks he makes sense are as crazy as he is...
Packie - We actually got rid of about 20 pallets...
Our compost bins are back to back and are always full. But the cool thing is with so many I don't do any turning - just let nature take it's course. I probably harvest about 8 yards of compost per year.
Jennifer - If you had understood him, I would have to take back all the nice things I've said about how smart you are... He makes NO sense!
LarryD - the other 57% voted present...
I once quipped to my Ronald Reagan loving neighbour (this guy is just wonderful), "Au revior" and he quipped back sharply, "I don't speak traitor!" So, there you have it. I try not to speak any of my high school learned French - I mean, keep making bread, cheese and wine all you want, Frenchies, I ain't buying it!
LarryD - you are too much!
Wow. What a sentence! As an English teacher, I am appalled at the sentence, and impressed by the diagramming!
Hope your hand heals soon.
Gosh, Adrienne, I wish your hand felt better. I had 2 carpal tunnel surgeries and 2 (third finger) surgeries; so I feel deeply for you.
E-bay....oh boy, I need to talk to you. I've got stuff to sell and have absolutely no clue how to start. I'm a great consumer (sadly) and want to simplify, and don't know how to make the initial jump into e-selling.....sounds strange for a marketing professor, huh? SEE? we don't know everything at all!!!!
Roz (aka bella)
Where are you Adrienne! you've not posted in almost a week, are you still alive?? Did your hand eat you?
