Sunday Breakfast
Last Tomato

For breakfast this morning we will eat our last tomato of the season. It will be sliced and placed between two slices of 100% whole wheat bread on a bed of lettuce, topped with thick sliced bacon, and topped with slices of Provolone cheese. God is good!

we are waiting for our first tomato for the season. Soon we will be eating our cauliflower from our garden. Steve planted several but only one grew. I am hoping to make a heap of pasta sauce and chukney with out tomatoes.

Wow! That's a nice tomato. My mom grows tomatoes, and the picture on your blog ALMOST looks as nice as the tomatoes she grows.

Therese - Wow - cauliflower is one thing that I think is way too labor intensive. Do post pictures when you pick it...

Mark - of course your Mom's tomatoes are nicer. She's your Mom, after all.

We're heading to St.Als for Mass this evening at 7. We must get together for coffee some time...

lol. Steve thinks it is so weird posting pictures of food and my cooking but I will.

Coffee sounds like a good idea...

And my mom's tomatoes are splendid, not just because she is my mom, though. She is a master gardner and can grow just about anything. When we lived on the farm, she grew roses in massive flowerbeds, and had a huge vegetable garden.
