Today is my lucky day. Therese over at Aussie Coffee Shop has tagged me as well as Uncle Jim at a second chance. Well - guess what? I've already done this meme. So here's a link to the original meme. The first time I forgot to list my "to do" list and I thought it would just be easier to take a picture of my appointment book. This was a fairly light week.
For those who may be interested I use a Planner Pad. It is one that is recommended for people with Adult Attention Deficit Disorder. For the most part it works great. The top is for things to get done during this week (determined in your weekly planning.) The middle section is for your "to do" list for that day, and the bottom is for your actual appointments.
Upcoming Ordination
Uncle Jim's nephew Dennis at Vita Mea will be ordained June 7th for the Diocese of Memphis. Let's all go over there and flood his combox with prayers and good wishes. Men like Dennis are the future of our Church.
A Must Read!
Padre Giovanni Trigilio over at Black Biretta has a wonderful post today called Catholic Catharsis. Take the time to go over and read it and leave a comment for him. He is, as always, the "voice of reason."
Comment from Mary Jane --- "Adrienne - Just found your blog and wasted a good chunk of time reading back entries. You're going into my favorites." Welcome Mary Jane. Stop back often. When are you going to start a blog of your own????
Irene is starting to exhibit violence because I haven't gotten back to the 12 Steps for Catholics. After developing into a near panic state I buzzed over to her blog and discovered she hasn't even posted since April 8. Since she is out on the road that means we have no idea of where she is hanging out. She could be right down the street from us and we wouldn't even know. Scary!!

thanks for the plug about Dennis. i won't tell his age, but he is a little behind the average age for ordination, that meaning a little older than most. but today we are seeing a lot of men who enter the seminaries after having experienced and worked at secular life for a while. his two younger brothers and their families will all be there for his ordination. our priests give up a lot...but get a lot back, too.
oh, and regarding the meme tag, i went back and looked at your original and i do remember reading it then. seeing that it has been passed around in the land down-under, too, just shows how close-knit we all are.
I think I'm reading it correctly, but if I'm mistaken please set me straight. Towards the middle/ bottom right hand corner of your planner I read, "Tony, ice Cosimo. Hush money to follow."
Um..."ice Cosimo????" That's a drink, right? And if so, why the hush money?
I PROMISE I wont tell.
Tom - what good eyes you have. I only drink virgin Cosimo.
Look real hard in the upper right hand corner and you will see your name in the letter list.
and besides..........we NEVER put anything incriminating in writing.
Hi Adrienne,
Thank you for the welcome! I have enjoyed getting to know your blog, too. I suspect if we ever met, we could have some laughs. We still may do just that in the blogosphere! :-D
Adrienne,
Nice blog and thanks for mentioning mine.
God bless you.
Father Trigilio
You can accuse me of many things (most of them probably true), but the one thing I must protest is any accusation of violence -- it's completely incompatible with my name and my nature. I have been a militant pacifist (sic!) since before my sixth birthday and plan to die that way.
Oh, and I will post soon. We all have been overwhelmed by a family member with brain metastases from breast cancer.
So unless you are in Columbus OH you don't have to worry about our being down the street -- now. No promises about later.
Irene - This is great news. Now I won't have to roust Cousin Vinnie off the couch.
I always tell folks I'm crazy but not dangerous.
Columbus, Ohio -- lovely area. My husband would like to move to Ohio. Akron area.
irene,
coincidently, i and wife are preparing to leave now.in next 10 minutes or so, for columbus ohio to visit daughter & spouse and 2 young grandchildren [girl 5, boy 2].
sad to hear of death of john mcconnell - we're big nhl fans and columbus wouldn't have the jackets there without his philanthropy.
glad to hear you're a pacifist.
I'll post today, just to relieve Adrienne's panic state. But it won't be pretty.
And speaking of "not pretty", for those who are considering coming to Columbus, it's raining -- as usual. Not raining, actually -- a slow, steady, depressing drizzle. To be followed by a wicked cold front. Can't say that Akron is much better.
Why do think I travel?
Hi Adrienne...
Just adding to your list, but I'm celebrating 100 posts and all the belated awards...c'mon over and collect all you'd like!
Adrienne,
For your peace of mind, I have updated my blog.
