Health Care Summit

Before we hunker down to watch this travesty tomorrow, a quick perusal of some statistics on the Canadian health care system would be informative.  It will help keep the rhetoric and lies we hear tomorrow in perspective. As usual, The Blog Prof has done a remarkable job of compiling some interesting figures.

A "Not to Miss" Report from the BlogProf:

Change! Planned Parenthood recruiting abortion volunteers through Obama's Serve.gov
[...]
Makes you wonder 1) were there Nazi death camp "volunteers," and 2) Obama's definition of "service" is far different than most. When did "service" including helping to butcher innocent children anyway? read the rest

My personal opinion?  Great move, Sarah! And also a great move for New Age aficionado, Oprah.  Why keep preaching to the choir?  The rest of us extremist, right-wing, terrorist, bitter clingers would do well to follow Sarah's example.

Update:  Here's another thought. Oprah always gives her audience a copy of a book her guest has just written.  Now we know it's not Oprah giving the book away, but the publisher.  So, for instance, what if Sarah shows up with a gazillion cases of books to give the audience. Oprah would be forced to hand out the books because if she didn't it would be front page news the next day.  Just imagine Oprah, the Obama lady  person-in-waiting, having to hand out Sarah's book.  Makes the heart sing, doesn't it??

Stacy McCain, BlogProf, & Marilyn Anderson

How did I miss this last week on The Other McCain, seeing as how this God business is sorta right up my little Catholic alley? Apparently BlogProf didn't (as usual) and has started a series. BP links to the origin of the article which is a Christian college student run site. Don't tell them, but they sound very, well - Catholic.

Mother Dismembers Baby

I suggest you not read the entire article if you are in the least bit squeamish. However, I don't see much difference, except for a few details, between what this mother did to her 3 1/2 week old child and what licensed abortion doctors do on a daily basis.

Would these same crime scene investigators or anyone in favor of "choice", be just as stunned and speechless if they spent a day at an abortion clinic?

Dismemberment of Texas newborn leaves crime scene investigators speechless; mother charged

The scene was so gruesome investigators could barely speak: A 3 1/2-week-old boy lay dismembered in the bedroom of a single-story house... read the rest - caution: graphic and not for the faint of heart

The Blog Prof is in love...

The Blog Prof is in love with House Speaker Andy Dillon, or rather he's in love with Andy's health care proposal, which Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm is naturally against.

Now I could certainly be in love with Andy for a completely different reason.

Republican Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop Backs Health Proposal Of Democrat House Speaker Dillon! UPDATE: So does the Detroit Free Press!

Now this is what I call bipartisanship! Today was a watershed day for Andy Dillon's trial balloon/proposal of pooling all state workers into one health insurance plan, which he has claimed can save the state nearly $1 billion annually. read the rest or click on title
