Brown to Warren: "I'm Not A Student In Your Classroom"...

that women is so annoyingly arrogant.

She ignores the moderator and interrupts Brown.  Whenever I hear her voice the word "harridan" always come to mind.

Scott Brown's new ad...

sends the right message and shows the contrast between the conservative backbone of America and the ugly and demeaning rhetoric of people like Elizabeth Warren and Barack Hussein Obama.

NOW defends Sarah Palin against ugly sexist slurs...

no wait - they're defending Elizabeth Warren.

The "Nasty Old Women" are all wee wee'd up about Scott Brown taking a jab at Elizabeth Warren .

From the Blaze:  emphasis mine
Massachusetts Republican Sen. Scott Brown said Friday he was “joking” about the “Thank God” quip he made after Democratic rival Elizabeth Warren said she didn’t pose nude to pay for college.
The spat began Tuesday during a Democratic primary debate. Warren, when asked how she paid for school, said she “kept [her] clothes on” — a reference to Brown’s infamous Cosmopolitan photo spread when he was in law school.
Asked about Warren’s remark during a radio interview Thursday, Brown replied
“Thank God” and ignited a gender-based firestorm.
Among his critics were the National Organization for Women, which suggested he shouldn’t run for re-election and called his comments “the kind of sexist misogynistic attack that we have very sadly come to expect from politicians whenever there is a strong woman who is capable and really dedicated to the betterment of all people.” The Massachusetts Democratic Party said they were “the kind of thing you would expect to hear in a frat house, not a race for U.S. Senate.”  read the rest
Wow.  That sounds like something one could say about Sarah Palin. Except they never said it about Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, or any other Republican woman running for office.  Never.

My advice to Elizabeth Warren and all the "ladies" who have their panties in a bunch?  Grow up.  We have serious problems in this country and you create a firestorm over a wisecrack.  Not a day passes that someone isn't being called upon to apologize for "offending" someone else.  I find all this offense taking to be really offensive.

You want to be offended?

Victory

Money Quote of the Day:

"This little campaign of ours was destined for greater things than any of us knew, and the message went far beyond the name on the sign.

I’m Scott Brown,

I'm from Wrentham,

I drive a truck, and I am nobody’s senator but yours.

Thank you very much."

Election Day in Massachusetts

Remember Massachusetts:

Scott Brown makes Baby Jesus smile...

Scott Brown

I don't know how everyone else is doing, but I'm very nervous about the special election tomorrow in Massachusetts.  I think if Scott Brown wins it will be the first on many more battles yet to be fought and won.  I've donated money to the cause and since I don't live in Massachusetts and can't vote for Scott, the only thing left to do is say some prayers that God's will be done.

My greatest fear is the probability possibility of a very dirty election and the ensuing ugliness.  We all view the world through our own prism; a prism formed by the way we grew up, our education, and our experiences.  This is why it is so hard for most of us to understand the machinations of the evil who live among us.

Evil, which is the absence of good, has always been with us. When we lose our connection with our Creator, we leave a vacuum waiting to be filled with whatever is the prevailing trend in our secular society.  Don't leave a vacuum in your life...

Meantime my Spokane buddy, Mark, got an Instalaunch today on his fine article  Thoughts on the Movie Avatar.

I received a message from the Ceiling Cat for Amusing Bunni.  Ceiling Cat sez, "Bunni, you must stop squelching your emotions.  Do not hold back from saying what's on your mind.  It's bad for the digestion.  Make you puke up hair-balls"...

Money Quote of the Day

From Dr. Zero
[...]   Racism endures because we’ve thrown away the most effective weapons against it. We built a system of government that strangles the free enterprise which brings people together, united by their ambitions. We scowl at the healthy laughter that builds fellowship, timid at the thought of giving offense. We haven’t put enough effort into maintaining our common language, the mortar of a peaceful and open society. The most impoverished among us indulge a subculture that violently dismisses the pursuit of excellence as racial treason. Meanwhile, the ruling elite have constructed a system that stands Dr. King’s dream on its head: we bring our children into a world where the color of their skin unlocks a million pages of legislation, while attempts to judge the content of their character are a felony offense. read the entire article

Caffeine Over Load & Some Pithy Observations

Is the whole country on caffeine overload?? I went to bed last night with my Google reader at a nice comfortable 40 or so. I wake up this morning and it's approaching 1000.

Granted much of it is repeating the same good news that Scott Brown's poll numbers are waaaaaaaaaaay up!!  If you're not living under a rock, this is news you already know, and for this we give thanks to the Lord, and also thanks to the arrogance and ineptitude of Madame Coakley (who has very thin lips. I don't trust women with thin lips.)

So without further ado, let us move forward into this great day that the Lord has made...

I shall perhaps return later(after doing my housework,  running errands,  vacuuming under the bed where I just discovered a nest of dust bunnies the size of which I have never encountered in my entire life, working on my altered book and new journal cover, checking out Picasa, which I finally succeeded in downloading, and downloading LiveWriter) , and then again I may not. Only time will tell...

Dr. Zero nails it again:   Welcome to Subsidy Nation

Sonic Ninja Kitty has a review up on the Federal Reserve.  I linked to the original article, aimed at the "girls."

Now as much as I admire SNK and think she is tres smart, I take a bit of exception to her aiming all this brilliance at the females of the world.  While I am not as fully versed on the Federal Reserve as I should be (and I thank SNK for informing and educating moi), my guess is the guys of this country are just as deficient in this area.

At least I know the basics of business, meaning in order to be successful, a business must make more than it spends, which is something the men running this country don't seem to know.

I'm not giving the likes of Pelosi and her female cohorts a free pass here as I suspect they are not really "girls."

So all you guys head over and  "journey with SNK into the heart of darknessthe den of iniquity that is your typical congressional hearing on the Federal Reserve…."

From Big Government: Texas is Right to Quit the "Race for the Top" Education Program.  The closing statement made by the author says,
"Education is a state issue, and the federal government has no business dictating academic standards or curriculum to states. Washington, please leave Texas alone."
Call me old-fashioned, but I don't believe government should be involved in education at all - not at the state level and certainly not at the federal level.  If "government" did such a great job we wouldn't have failing schools turning out failing people.

Government-run schools are just another way to control  and indoctrinate  people into collectivist thinking.

From Acts of the Apostasy:

Convergence

"There are no coincidences. God allows - as well as ordains - events to occur in an order and fashion that manifests His presence, and while making sense of it all may forever remain beyond our competence, it is our faith and hope in Him that sustains us."  you must read it all

 Money quote of the day:

Archbishop George H. Niederauer of San Francisco speaks to Nancy Pelosi:
"Human freedom does not legitimate bad moral choices, nor does it justify a stance that all moral choices are good if they are free: 'The exercise of freedom does not imply a right to say or do everything,'" wrote the archbishop, citing the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

"It is entirely incompatible with Catholic teaching to conclude that our freedom of will justifies choices that are radically contrary to the Gospel — racism, infidelity, abortion, theft," he continued.

"Freedom of will is the capacity to act with moral responsibility; it is not the ability to determine arbitrarily what constitutes moral right."

"While we deeply respect the freedom of our fellow citizens," Niederauer concluded, "we nevertheless are profoundly convinced that free will cannot be cited as justification for society to allow moral choices that strike at the most fundamental rights of others. Such a choice is abortion, which constitutes the taking of innocent human life, and cannot be justified by any Catholic notion of freedom."  Archbishop George H. Niederauer of San Francisco H/T LifeSite News

Let's Not Waste Time

I find it inconceivable that an entire nation is wasting its collective time, energy, and angst on what  Harry Reid said behind closed doors.  I am way more interested in what this man is doing behind closed doors to take away our last shred of freedom.

If Harry Reid wishes to sit outside naked in freezing weather and howl at the moon it is of no concern to me. His putting the last nail into the coffin marked freedom concerns me greatly.  Taking over my health care at the point of a sword,  taxing me against my will and desire to fund the lifestyles of the lazy and ignorant, and paying off bribing special interests with my money, is a much larger concern.

Is there a double standard at work in this country? You bet there is - and it flows both ways.  The hours of productive work, including engaging our brain, is being wasted debating something that means nothing to our lives.

Instead of spending time tilting at windmills, it may make more sense to learn how to build a windmill. You may need to someday.

A Catholic Mom in Minnesota brings up a reasonable but easily answerable question when she asks, Why One and Not the Other?  Read it and form your own answer.

Still think things are "fair?"

"Looks like the Amish have found their “Get Out of Jail Free” card when it comes to the new Obamacare insurance mandate. I have to wonder, though…if this is the case, why can’t Christians get out of the mandate if the government insist that our tax dollars pay for abortions? That goes against our “religious conscience”, so wouldn’t that give us the exemption we need?" read the rest
One thing I might point out is that the Amish generally pay their way or take care of themselves.  But it is still valid to ask the question of why those opposed to abortion should be forced to fund the procedure.

The bigger question though,  is why are we funding anything for anyone?

Congrats in Order

Some Good News

From RightKlik:

Hop over there and read the good news - plus some excellent links.

And an email from Scott Brown

The far left wing attack machine is stepping up to try and defeat our movement to win the Special Election for the United States Senate on January 19th.  The radical MoveOn.org has decided to MoveIn to Massachusetts to try and help the lethargic Martha Coakley campaign gain some traction. The SEIU, the nation's largest public employee union is also pouring thousands of dollars into this race to defeat our movement.

These groups like MoveOn.org and the SEIU along with the political machine in Massachusetts have an agenda to continue the reckless spending in Washington and to dramatically expand the size of government.

There is only one thing standing between these groups and their hope for a victory on January 19th, and that is you.

On Monday, January 11th we are having a moneybomb and I am asking for your pledge, right now. Once you make your pledge today, please return to RedInvadesBlue.com on Monday, January 11th to fulfill your pledge and make your contribution.

I refuse to let these far-left groups slow our momentum with their special interest money and I'm asking you to help us fight back, right now.

Our Brown Brigade is strong and our morale is high. Together, we have built a strong grassroots movement to win this special election for the United States Senate on January 19th and send a political shock-wave across the country and to the Washington establishment.

If we win on January 19th, it will deliver a devastating blow to the out-of-control spending bureaucrats and those that want a Government Run take-over of our health care.

To Victory,

Scott Brown

P.S. Our call from home application is a fantastic way to volunteer to reach the voters that we need to turn out on Election Day - it's critical to inform OUR voters about Election Day being January, 19.

No suprises from the dems...

And Press Release From Scott Brown's website

1-09-10 Scott Brown's Statement On Appointed U.S. Senator Kirk's Intention's To Be 60th Vote

Good afternoon – I wanted to make sure you saw the following comments earlier today, as reported by State House News Service, from Governor Patrick’s appointed U.S. Senator Paul Kirk, in which he clearly states that he intends to be the 60th vote for the Democrats’ health care bill – even if Scott Brown is elected to the Senate seat by the people of Massachusetts on January 19, 2010.

According to this report:

Speaking with reporters, Kirk also predicted that Congress would approve a national health care bill by the end of the month – in time for the president’s State of the Union address – and said he would vote for it even if Massachusetts voters elect Brown. Brown has said he’d be the 41st vote against the health bill, which would give Republicans a large enough margin to prevent if from moving forward.

“Absolutely,” Kirk said, when asked if he’d vote for the bill, even if Brown captures the seat. “It would be my responsibility as United States Senator, representing the people and understanding Senator Kennedy’s agenda and the rest of it ... I think you’re asking me a hypothetical question but I’d be pleased to vote for the bill.”

In reporting on this I hope you will consider the following response from the Scott Brown for Senate campaign:

“This is a stunning admission by Paul Kirk and the Beacon Hill political machine today. Paul Kirk appears to be suggesting that he, Deval Patrick, and Harry Reid intend to stall the election certification until the health care bill is rammed through Congress, even if that means defying the will of the people of Massachusetts. As we’ve already seen from the backroom deals and kickbacks cut by the Democrats in Washington, they intend to do anything and everything to pass their controversial health care plan. But threatening to ignore the results of a free election and steal this Senate vote from the people of Massachusetts takes their schemes to whole new level. Martha Coakley should immediately disavow this threat from one of her campaign’s leading supporters.”

This caught my eye

From: The Washington Independent:

"Public Policy Polling, conducting an automated poll on the Massachusetts Senate race, is finding good data for Republican candidate Scott Brown."  read the rest
Meantime Vicki Kennedy, widow of Ted Kennedy, has endorsed Martha Coakley (D)  Why in the world would a recommendation from Vicki Kennedy, second wife to a life-long bad Catholic, be of any merit? Or for that matter, a seal of approval from anyone in that disaster of a family??
Vicki Kennedy and other family members offered their endorsement to Martha Coakley in the race for Ted Kennedy's Senate seat. Earlier this week, a poll of likely voters found that the race is closer than expected. source

Am I the only person who has noticed the eerie likeness of Martha Coakley to  Martha Moxley , both in name and appearance?

Moving On

Even though I am mourning the loss of Elle (my heart is shattered), it doesn't change the need for action.  This morning I volunteered to man the phone lines for Scott Brown and also made a donation.  Do I think he can win the senate seat in Massachusetts?  I have no idea. I do know this, as I said to my buddy DaTechGuy, if I do nothing I lose my b*tching rights, and nice little Italian ladies loooooove to b*tch!
RightKlik has the Hannity/Brown interview posted as well as some fine links.  I don't plan on spending time trying to "scoop" other bloggers.  A much wiser use of time is to send you where you need to go.

You do not have to live in Massachusetts to volunteer.  You do, however, need to live in Massachusetts to be able to spell Massachusetts. Thank goodness for spell check!!

From Red State:
Let's Not Get Cocky

There's A Lot Of Work To Do ... And We've Still Only Got 10 Months To Do It.

But that said, let’s not let that go to our heads and make us complacent.
There’s a lot of hard work to be done - NOTE: from now until 01/19, every day is Scott Brown day: donate and volunteer - and we need to realize that there are still ten whole months left before November 2. A lot of things can change in that time … and we should be prepared for any contingency so we’re not ruled by events instead of the other way round.
There’s still money to be raised, volunteers to be recruited, neighbors and co-workers to be won over, precincts to organize and ultimately campaigns to be won. We should not make the mistake of thinking the ND seat as good as won because Dorgan quit, or the CT seat as good as out of reach (as many are suggesting) because we no longer have Chris Dodd to run against.
 From BigGovernment:

Massachusetts Voters Could Make History on January 19

by Dana Loesch

What level of poetic justice would it be for Republican Scott Brown to win Teddy Kennedy’s senate seat and become the 41st vote to stop fauxcare? Bay Staters are being presented with the opportunity on January 19th in a special election to decide the new occupant of a senate seat that has for so long been essentially held by one political family. read the rest
