Important Information - Get Involved Now...

Many, many thanks to RightKlik for his links to some of the most user friendly and useful sites I'm seen in a long time.  RK is reminding us that it's not enough to attend Tea Party events and make signs.  The time to get involved in your local elections is now.

Head over and check out the links to primary election dates in all the States and another that lists who's running in your state/district.  If you have a blog, pass these links on and encourage people to get involved in the primaries.
We will remember in November."

Conservatives, Tea Partiers and concerned citizens of every variety have pledged to remember the blatant disregard for the will of the people that this Congress has displayed. People who think this country is headed in the wrong direction plan to make their voices heard load and clear on November 2nd. I'm looking forward to that day.

But there's a problem with that plan. If we wait until November to get involved, many of us will be stuck having to choose between bad candidates and candidates who are even worse.

Are you tired of choosing between the lesser of two evils when you step up to the ballot box? Get involved in the primaries. Promote your favorite candidates on a blog, on Twitter, and in letters to the editor. Make financial contributions. And don't just show up to vote...take like-minded friends with you.  read the rest and bookmark the links RK has provided.
Thanks RK

Angela McGlowan w/ Updates

Pro-life, pro-gun, anti-tax, anti-wasteful government spending conservative Republican running to represent Mississippians in the 1st congressional district.

RightKlik gives us a look at real racism.  Highlighted is Angela McGlowan, a drop-dead gorgeous  lady (who happens to be black),  running for congress as a conservative Republican.

The only people I hear talking about race since the election of a half black man is the lefties.  It's just more divide and conquer.  Don't fall for it...

Detroit News: "President Barack Obama's election has inspired a record number of African-American candidates to run for Congress this year. What's surprising is that they're running as Republicans"

Boob Bait??

RightKlik has a very good assessment of why the people on the left can't understand the tea party movement.

In Tea Parties, Boob Bait, and Obamacare
RedState recently explored the question of why the Tea Parties mystify the folks of Democrat-Run Media. It’s an insightful exploration. Here are my thoughts…
The Tea Party movement confuses the Democrat-Run Media (DRM) because the DRM are populated by people who think tea partiers are no smarter than Peggy Joseph. read the rest

Prayers Needed

My blogger buddy, RightKlik, lost both his father and grandmother this past week. His father would have been 54 years old next month.  He is survived by his eight children, the youngest of whom is 16 years old.

Please take a moment and offer prayers and condolences.

So sad...

Alan Colmes Viciously Attacks Blogger

Things are getting ugly...

Peace loving, gentle blogger RightKlik is attacked by Alan Colmes on Twitter. Read the gory details

At the same time Robert Stacy McCain is having to defend himself from Charles Johnson, who blogs as Little Green Footballs. Stacy has points to make, and make them he does.

Point One: Charles Johnson doesn't know me from Adam's housecat (I didn't even know Adam had a cat or a house, either)
Point Two: Charles Johnson is is prejudiced, and subscribes to stereotypes

And finally, Stacy tells us what he really thinks in Point Three: Charles will regret it just once, and that will be continuously...

Sheesh, all I ever get is a few disgruntled folks who don't think I'm "devout" enough.

Right Klik Hits the Ball Out of the Park

The bottom line on all this chatter about health care is simple - the federal government caused the majority of the problems with their interference in the market. And now they want to interfere even more. The feds have no business poking around our health care. It didn't work for Medicare and Medicaid and it won't work for universal health care.

Right Klik brings up the concept of incrementally killing the private health insurance business. Anyone who has followed this knows that is the ultimate goal. Oh, and did I mention that now they are going to raise your taxes?

Tell your senators and congresscrooks to keep their hands off of your health care!

Say Hello to IMAC, Kiss Your Healthcare Freedom Goodbye!

[...]

ObamaCare 1.0 is on life support. The public option is probably dead. Health care reform has given way to health insurance reform. So the immediate goal is more modest. Instead of a plan to kill private healthcare with one fell swoop, Dems might have to settle for killing the industry in stages, a death by a thousand paper cuts. read the rest

Open thread: Michelle on “The View”

Since I'm just getting ready to watch The View (ugh), I decided to skip most of the comments over at Hot Air. I'm in the Pacific time zone so we get things last - except if it's Obama. For some reason they cram him down our throat first. Go figure.

Smitty is a Class Act
and...
Guess what instrument Smitty plays.....a contest

Robert Stacy McCain is a lucky man, indeed!

In an earlier post I bemoaned the fact that I didn't have a Smitty. Stacy McCain not only has a beautiful wife, who sees to his corporal needs, but he has Smitty.

Smitty has a brother, who when not attending to his business, lives not to terribly far from me. But, alas and alack, his brother doesn't blog and would probably find the Catholic Church too controlling.

How do I know these things? Last week I sent a quick and to the point email to this paragon of linky-love by the name of Smitty. And guess what? I received an almost immediate response.

Just think about this - a busy person on a blog that attracts millions, took the time to answer an email from moi, a small nit on the hair follicle of the blogosphere.

I call that classy!

Something tells me that if I emailed Stacy I just may receive an answer also. To be fair, I haven't tried because, well after all, he is Robert Stacy McCain. But real soon I'm going to email him because I'd really like to interview him for my blog and maybe, just maybe he'll say yes.

The Contest

Guess what musical instrument Smitty plays and win
(my husband just suggested one of our cats), no, not the cat buuuuuuuut, drumroll please - your choice of either five double fans of the daylily Gentle Shepherd from my nursery (US readers only), or a copy of the e-workbook "31 Days to Build a Better Blog" by Darren Rouse of ProBlogger.

Just put your answer in the com-box which has comment moderation enabled. Comments will not be published so as to not sway your answer or otherwise dissuade you from entering.

Contest not open to Smitty, Stacy McCain or friends, family, co-workers, or pets of aforementioned entities. Contest winners will be announced on Friday.

A Whiff of Desperation

As Obama's approval ratings continue to slip, and it becomes increasingly obvious that our Commander-n-Thief has no idea what he's doing with the economy, even BHO's friends at WaPo are starting to express concern. Apparently, criticism regarding Obama's stimulus plan is gaining quite a bit of traction. And it's not just the "racist" tea party crowd doing the complaining anymore.
