Lather, Rinse, and Repeat. Obama's "Plan"

Not sure how I missed this fine article yesterday.  The Wall Street Journal has a decent vetting of Obama's health care plan.  One of the most important features of his "plan" is price controls.  This sort of micro-managing of private industry never works - at least for the industry being micro-managed.  But it will do exactly what Obama intends it to do, which is put private insurance companies out of business and force the American people into government-run insurance.
"The President's Proposal," as the 11-page White House document is headlined, is in one sense a notable achievement: It manages to take the worst of both the House and Senate bills and combine them into something more destructive. It includes more taxes, more subsidies and even less cost control than the Senate bill. And it purports to fix the special-interest favors in the Senate bill not by eliminating them—but by expanding them to everyone. read the rest at Wall Street Journal

The Past and Future of Health Care

As usual, Doug Ross has articulated much better than I ever could the problems we are facing today.
President Obama has presented his new health bill, which is a rehash of the old Democrat health bills. And rather than embracing his own rhetoric and advocating a bipartisan approach to solving the health care crisis, Obama has instead articulated threats, Chicago-style. read the rest

I certainly hope this is true...

RE: New Obama Health Care Draft

As of this hour, there is an 11-page document on the White House web site outlining Obama’s newest version of ObamaCare. Before laying out a summary of the most recent Obama proposal, I would like to make a couple preliminary points: read the rest

Why am I not surprised...

Price Controls DON'T work!!

The two most important words in Obama's "health care bill" - price controls

This is nothing more than a back door approach to the public option.  Price controls will lead to people without doctors which in turn will allow the dems to blame the private insurance companies.  The solution?  Why a public option, of course!

Hot Air has a detailed post up that is excellent!

Update: CBO can’t score bill this week

Obama's Plan - Don't Bend Over...

Pat, over at And So It Goes in Shreveport, has done a wonderful job of summing up my feelings over Obama's health care plan and this upcoming "summit" with the Republicans.

I have such a feeling of dread over this upcoming health care summit that is to be televised this week. Why do I have the feeling that we're walking into a massacre? read the rest

But..........the worst feeling of dread I have is caused from learning that Pat is an English teacher.  Oy vey!!  As my long-time readers know, I suffer from comma deprivation (although my editor has determined that I am getting much more proficient.)  I have this vision of Pat reading my posts with a red "cyber" pen in her hand, making slashes and check marks.  Do I need this kind of stress in my life??
