There's been lots of hype about the protests at the DNC.  Frankly, compared to the 1968 convention, these kids are pikers.  The video below shows the MSM trying to get us all excited about a small group of tatted up, filthy looking young people causing mayhem. 

The Fox news people are breathless with excitement and touting the magnitude of the crowd.  Ah, in a word, no.  Notice the clever camera angles of the crowd to try and make it look like there's thousands of people there?  There's not.

Another video at at Fox 29, in which the Philly police commissioner declares the whole affair to be a bit of a nothing burger.  The Fox "news" man on the street was very disappointed and the expression on the commissioner's face is priceless. Commissioner Ross has obviously had plenty of interaction with the press and I applaud him for not rolling his eyes. 

CBS Philly, not wanting to be left out of the action, posted Chaotic Scene Outside Wells Fargo Center After Protesters Breach DNC Security Fence accompanied with the usual footage.

The first video was posted by Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit.  I like Jim, but in his zeal to get Trump elected, he can sometimes get overly loose with his words.  His headlines are replete with words like "Wow, "Breaking", and "Chaos".  Jim is being aided and abetted by one Mike Cernovich, a man who has mastered the art of self promotion.  Both of them make me tired.

Aren't we all exhausted enough with what is starting to feel like a twenty year election cycle to have to endure such sensationalism from the press - on both sides of the aisle?

As always - don't believe the crapola you're being fed.  Do your own research and think for yourselves.

Gateway Pundit just published a video featuring John Holdren. To quote GWP:

John Holdren, Obama's biggest radical and Science Czar, slammed the idea of American exceptionalism and explicitly said that we need to redistribute energy and material resources during the Bali Conference on global warming on July 12, 2007.

The word exceptionalism caught my eye because last evening my hubby and I watched a DVD we received from his brother, of a talk given by David Barton . I had never heard of David Barton, founder of Wallbuilders, and was very impressed with his knowledge and rapid fire delivery. He crammed more into one hour than even a crazed Italian such as myself could ever hope to match.

The general theme of his talk was the concept of exceptionalism, something I had been taught growing up, but has now hit the trash can of multiculturalism, relativism, and anti-Christianity.

The overview of WallBuilders from their site says:

WallBuilders is an organization dedicated to presenting America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation on which America was built – a foundation which, in recent years, has been seriously attacked and undermined. In accord with what was so accurately stated by George Washington, we believe that "the propitious [favorable] smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation which disregards the eternal rules of order and right which heaven itself has ordained."

More on Obama's website w/ update

Yesterday I posted on a rather alarming entry about Organizing for America, the website of our dear leader. It concerned a phone-a-thon planned for September 11. The members were being exhorted to call their Senators and Representatives in support of Obamacare. I excerpted this quote from the post:

While checking my statcounter, I noticed a number of hits from Free Republic and so I cruised over to investigate. It appears they were trying to verify this post from Organizing for America because no one could find it. One commenter said my buddy RightKlik was linking to me and I didn't have a link.

Quick like a bunny I checked my post and although I linked to Gateway Pundit, who posted on Organizing for America's previous day's post (with a screen shot), I had not provided a link to what I had read on the site.

I have only one thing to say: My Bad!!

The post I read on Organizing for America has been scrubbed from the site, as has the post Gateway Pundit reported. If you click on Gateway's link, this is what you will get:
