Sex Education Teacher Takes Young Students To Sex Toy Shop
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A sex education teacher has drawn the ire of
parents after taking middle- and high-school students on a field trip to
an adult novelty store in Minneapolis.
Gaia Democratic School
director Starri Hedges took about a dozen students to the Smitten Kitten
last week. Hedges told the Star Tribune that she wanted to provide a safe environment for students to learn about human sexual behavior.
Besides
offering adult books, videos, toys and other products, the store also
has educational workshops, which the students attended.
"What I saw happening on our trip, I thought it was beautiful because
kids could talk to these sex educators without any shame, without any
fear," Hedges said. Some of her students bought condoms, she said. more at Huff and Puff
Let's start at the beginning.
Why are schools, including our public schools, teaching kids all this stuff about sex? How about you teach them to read instead? The name of the private school in question answers a lot of the questions that are raised.
Some of these kids were as young as 11 years old. Does an 11 year old need to go to a sex toy shop to learn about sex? One commenter defended Smitten Kitten as a "legitimate business." Well, yes, if you mean they had a business license and all the other stuff you need to run a business, you could certainly call it "legitimate."
But a store that sells pornography, devices to stretch the anal orifice to accommodate anal sex, fake penises the size of Manhattan, handcuffs and whips (because nothing says love like a little sadomasochistic foreplay), and holds classes on how to tie people up in ropes for sex play, is not in any moral person's lexicon, "legitimate."
If you are an adult and wish to go to such a place, be my guest. But, taking children as young as 11 to such a place and calling it "education", is reprehensible.
Now to the real outrage and testimony to how far we've fallen. The majority of commenters at Huff and Puff thought this was a really neat thing to which to expose children. Their only concern was that the parents weren't notified beforehand.

only problem with this article is that the parents were never notified.
Other than that I have no problem with children going to workshops for
sex-ed. Although it would have been better to have someone from the shop
to come to the school instead of the having the students go to the
shop. Now had this been a class for 12th graders or a college class then
I wouldn't have had anything to say except why did it take them so
long?
Yes,
god forbid that about-to-be-sexually-active kids learn about sexuality
through means other than photos of STD-infested genitals. What a joke of
a "controversy.
Getting
the parents permission should have been a must in this situation. I
live in Minnesota, the Smitten Kitten isn't what some of you think, it's
not a porn shop, it is a legitimate business. I've never been there,
but they advertise their classes and products on the radio station I
listen to. They seem to specialize in helping people with problems as
well as selling some of the more interesting products that are out
there.
What is the big deal!?
Awesome field trip, but any field trip requires parental notification and permission.
There were a very few who commented that they thought the whole thing was a bad idea, and in true libtard fashion, they were soundly rebuked and insulted.
The early sexualzation of our children, and the dumbing down of their academics, is producing a nation of people with no moral compass and a lack of virtue.

John Adams, in a letter dated October 11, 1798, to the Officers of
the First Brigade of the Third Division of the Militia of Massachusetts
said:

Avarice, ambition, revenge and licentiousness would break the strongest
cords of our Constitution, as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
and
Benjamin Franklin emphasized that without virtue, free societies could
not properly function. He said, “Only a virtuous people are capable of
freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of
masters.”
This sort of event is nothing more than a step in the direction of dismantling and decimating the traditional family, the bedrock of a civil society.
Soon the Supreme Court will rule on same-sex marriage, and I have no doubt which side of the podium that gavel will fall. They will redefine marriage to accommodate 2 - 3% of the population and attempt to normalize deviancy. These sexualized children will applaud, as will their parents.
