Celebrating Independence Day the Chicago way...

Chicago police are examining a video and interviewing witnesses to try to find out who was among a gang of young people who attacked and stabbed a 25-year-old man in the Lakeview neighborhood late Sunday.

[...]Police have not released detailed descriptions of the attacker or attackers who stabbed the man. read the rest but comments are closed. Hmmmmm ...

From the YouTube page:

If you have information on ANY individuals involved, please contact Area 3 Detectives at: 312-744-8261

This is from tonight, July 3, 2011. This happened on Halsted street in the 3300 block. This is exactly the types of violence that we have been bringing to light and complaining about.

The victim received multiple stab wounds to the chest and back, but is currently in stable/good condition. Hopefully this event will bring some increased awareness to the residents and patrons of the neighborhood who are concerned for everyone's safety.

This is the 3rd stabbing within 3 weeks on Halsted in this immediate area.

Feds Fully Immersed in the Chicago Way of Doing Business.

Two recent headlines...

Am I the only person that sees a problem here?  The feds essentially own GM which means they are buying cars from themselves.  Shouldn't there be some sort of bidding process?  And then they turn around and level the largest fine ever on Toyota, who is probably their biggest competitor.
