This and That for Mother's Day...

in no particular order...

I have 65 tabs open in my browser and they're all competing for the few brain cells I still possess.  I've been giving it a bit of a rest since Carol/Bunni passed away on the 29th of April.

So many people have donated to her funeral expense fund that it's truly inspiring.  We could still use a bit of help and in my upper left corner there is a donate button if you can help in any small way.

Opus, of American Perspective, flew from California to Chicago for Carol's funeral and has posted a lovely remembrance along with some photo's of Carol's "real-life friends."

Our friend Curmudgeon, at Political Clown Parade, posted two of the most touching tributes to Carol - and we thank her.   She also used her remarkable Photoshop skills to design a couple of lovely remembrances.

The day before I heard that Carol had passed away, I had put out some stationary and cute bunny stickers to send her a little note.  They're still sitting there today, but as I told Opus in an email, it's time to put them away.

The Catholic Funeral Mass for Carol Mackie (Amusing Bunni) has been scheduled.

Viewing will be at 9am on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at

Lakeview Funeral Home

Funeral Mass will be at 11am the same day at:

Transfiguration Catholic Church

Followed by a procession to the cemetery where Carol/Bunni will be buried with her mother, who died when Carol was age 5:

Update: (5/7/13) I will be on an airplane today flying to Chicago. I look forward to meeting fellow bloggers and friends of Amusing Bunni, Carol Mackie in person. Let's give her a good send off. See you there. I have long blonde hair and will be wearing a black skirt suit and pearls. Any donations via this paypal button will go toward Bunni's final expenses. Or if you are going there in person, perhaps seek out the funeral director and make a donation onto her account balance directly.

Update:  

Carol, proprietor of Amusing Bunni's Musings blog, passed away last Sunday from an aggressive cancer that was only diagnosed shortly before last Thanksgiving.

I apologize to anyone who thought "Bunni" was, well - a bunny.  On the other hand, Carol would find it amusing.   ;-)

Update 2:

Opus, of American Perspective, has pictures given to her by Carol to be posted after her death.  Our Bunni was not only beautiful on the inside, she was beautiful on the outside. 

RIP Bunni!  

You brought great joy, laughter, and love to all of your fans.

You will be missed!

Some truly horrible news...w/Update

our precious Amusing Bunni is ill.  Very ill.  Terminally ill

Her email to Zilla  (who has even more information.)

There is no good way to put this, so the cold hard truth is:
I was in hospital for 8 days, after all the tests, biopsies, bone scans, mri, cat scans, ultra sounds, etc. etc.  It’s confirmed I have 5th stage inoperable liver cancer, HCC.  There is NOTHING to be done to treat it.  I have been given 3 to 6 months to live.
So, I’m terminal.  There are so many tumors in my abdomen, and the liver is enlarged very much, they can’t operate, the tumors and blood vessels are too much and too close, they can’t do chemo, or NOTHING, so I just will be seeing palliative care Dr.’s for medicine adjustments to help with the pain, and then just get my affairs in order and wait to die.

 She needs help - emotionally and monetarily.
