Gray Haired Brigade

They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are "Baby Boomers" getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were.

Thank you kind lady. We were here and there at the same time.

I remember those little doors, too. When I was a little girl, we had one in an apartment that we lived in for two years, in Kansas City. It fascinated me.
I'm proudly a non-baby boomer. I was born a couple of months before V E Day.

Priscilla - I also remember how beautifully they were made with fine oak and craftsmanship. Odie would approve...

Nope, don't remember ice boxes. But the milkman used to drop off our order every couple of days, a knife sharpener drove his truck through the neighborhood every summer, when "gas wars" happened you could buy a gallon of it for fifteen cents.

No retreat, no surrender.
