It's Time to Do Something

Following everything going on in the world has become a full-time job.  One of the strategies of the lefties of the world to keep us so busy, our lives start to seem a bit meaningless.  We are constantly being weighed down with worry, and become hyper-vigilant regarding the next assault on our liberties.  While starting to find a certain amount of humor in all the goings-on (a protective measure), I look around at the activities we have shunted aside.

How many hours of creative energy have been flushed down a rat-hole due to following every morsel of news - most of which doesn't qualify as news, but just additional diversions?  How many pictures are not painted, books not read, and gardens not tended while we saturate ourselves with mostly meaningless drivel?  The Alinskyites in power enjoy watching this turmoil.  It's one of their goals. They find it amusing.  Isn't that what our president just said about the tea parties?

Do I advocate just giving up?  Absolutely not.  However, we are confronted with a war of ideologies, and in order to be battle-ready, we must refresh our souls.  We must carve out time each day for prayer, make sure we have time for our creative selves, and set aside time for some good old fashioned thinking.

Gateway Pundit posted a very important article, Obama & Dems Make Great Strides… In Achieving Communist Goals for America  It is worthy of printing out as reference material and passing along to your friends...

No Sheeples Here brought us some good news   RightNetwork. All That’s Right With The World.

and we thank her...  RightKlik expands on this good news

American Thinker has a fine article on Cultural Marxism in Education: The Gathering Revolt with many excellent references to Gramsci's Critical Theory, the Frankfurt School, John Dewey, and many of Obama's Marxist and Communist "friends."  Learning about the origins of some of our present day problems, including going as far back as the early Gnostics,  is vital to understanding and combating the enemy.

I have been remiss in not alerting you to the fine series; "The Tea Party Chronicles", Blog Prof has put together for our education.  Today he has episode 11 and was nice enough to list all the links to other episodes, making it possible for me to cut and paste.  And I really, really thank him for that!

Folks - if you are not taking steps to protect yourselves while we endeavor to clean the Augean Stable known as Washington, DC -  you better get busy.  One positive suggestion is to install a wood stove in your home.  If you can lower your heating costs by $100.00 per month, the stove will have paid for itself in one winter.  We have even planted trees for future firewood.  A hybrid poplar will be ready to be turned into firewood in 3 - 4 years.

We installed our Kuma Stove as soon as we purchased our house over 10 years ago.  At that time it was just the owner and his sons crafting hand-made stoves.  They've gone pretty upscale since then.  Good for them. It's a beautiful stove.  I've even managed to cook meals on the top during power outages.

Finally - Sunday would not be complete without The Reaganite Republican's Sunday Funnies.

I'm heading out to refresh my soul by killing weeds and whacking a few yellow jackets.

Adrienne, the first paragraph here is simply excellent... IMHO a big part of their scheme is to keep us back on our heels and distracted while they ram through the statist agenda.

That's where we come in... the New Media is the last shred of truth out there. If Obama had arrived in 1980-90, can you imagine the Soviet-style info blockade this scumbag would have had?

It's all in God's plan... the net is a blessing we should appreciate, give thanks for, and utilize to the fullest to stop this soft revolution dead in it's tracks.

RK - Baby RK is counting on you to be strong. But, if you have a choice of reading a book to your child or posting on your blog - read the book.
