Eat Your Heart Out,

Minnesota!!

We are experiencing more snow than we've had in 10 or more years. It started snowing yesterday at noon and it is still snowing over 24 hours later. Folks are slippin' and slidin' all over the freeway. Some fun!!

Update 11:00pm: We officially have about 17" and are expecting another 15" - 17" over the upcoming week. Our kindly neighbor plowed out one leg of our driveway with his tractor. Sure glad I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow.

We don't have snow here at all. I think I would hate to live in a climate that does have it. Steve was talking last holidays about taking the children to the snow sometime and I thought in my head, hmm, snow sounds too cold to be enjoyable. We will have to see.

Therese,
If you dress in layers, and in waterproof pants, snow is extremely enjoyable.
;)

The kids would love it!

Sure is pretty. I wish it would snow again here. I'm ready. I love snow but I don't like this biting cold. Maybe I should move to Idaho.

Catching up on my reading here...

You have such pretty property. And I'm glad you're getting all the snow. I hate driving in it.

Skiing is nice, though. But I don't like to ski on the highways. And last spring we had a couple feet dumped on us, and my dogs had nowhere to go potty....so it took forever to get them to "go". They were thoroughly confused, waiting to get to a spot they would normally use, but it was buried under ridiculous amounts of white stuff.

This winter the ice that landed in December is still there, still making the sidewalks treacherous.

If I can't go skiing, then all this just isn't worth it. The only reason I won't leave the state for a warmer climate is that I hate humidity worse than I hate driving in the snow. Thus, I remain.

Juneau is looking nice, though. Their climate is more temperate than Minnesota's.
