Democrats demand photo ID to enter convention...

but think asking for an ID to vote is racist.

From Hillbuzz:  RACISM at the Democrats’ Convention: PHOTO ID REQUIRED TO ENTER

Democrats, the party of absurdities.

From the Democratic Platform:

Voting Rights. We believe the right to vote and to have your vote counted is an essential American
freedom, and we oppose laws that place unnecessary restrictions on those seeking to exercise that
freedom. Democrats have a proud history of standing up for the right to vote. During the Obama
administration, the Justice Department has initiated careful, thorough, and independent reviews of
proposed voting changes, and it has prevented states from implementing voter identification laws that would be harmful to minority voters. Democrats know that voter identification laws can
disproportionately burden young voters, people of color, low-income families, people with disabilities,
and the elderly, and we refuse to allow the use of political pretexts to disenfranchise American citizens.

Allow me to translate:

Black people are too stupid or lazy to get an ID.  So explain to me how all those black people being bussed into Charlotte are going to get into the convention.  Logic tells me they discriminated against the stupid and poor blacks and only allowed the clever ones to attend.

Minnesota libtards deny voter fraud...

yeah, right!

The libtards** of Minnesota who stand proudly behind  diaper wearing comic Al Franken and think Muslim Keith Ellison is the cats' meow scream "racism" when it comes to showing an ID to vote.

Oh my, they say!  How ever will all the poor blacks and other minorities be able to vote?   Never mind that these same people need an ID to open a bank account, buy a car, get on a plane, or even buy cigarettes or liquor.

Ultimately, what they are saying is that black people are too stupid to get an ID which is provided free by most states.  Really?  I don't think that's true.  So who's the real racist?

From Bruce McQuain:

There is no voter fraud, except when there is voter fraud
Like in the MN Senate race that put Al Franken in office and provided Senate Democrats with their 60th vote.   read the rest

Partisan Hack Judge Blocks Voter ID Law in Wisconsin

really?  REALLY!!!!

God forbid that someone buying liquor has to show an ID, but to vote all they have to do is fog up the mirror.  Oh, wait - they don't even have to fog up the mirror.

Has common sense been made a taxable item??

Federal judge stands with Florida...

it's okay to stop illegal invaders from voting.  Holder's head just exploded.

Tell me why this was even an issue?  We just closed on a house refi and guess what we had to show at the title office?  Our photo ID.

Governor's Press Office

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today a federal judge rejected a Department of Justice request to issue a temporary restraining order blocking Florida from removing non-citizens from the voter rolls and rejected DOJ’s argument that the National Voter Registration Act prohibits removal of non-citizens from the voter rolls.

The court also said that permitting known non-citizens to vote would result in “irreparable harm” to eligible voters.

Florida Governor Rick Scott was pleased with the decision, which is consistent with his position that Florida has an obligation to remove non-citizens from the voter rolls.
“The court made a common-sense decision consistent with what I’ve been saying all along: that irreparable harm will result if non-citizens are allowed to vote. Today’s ruling puts the burden on the federal government to provide Florida with access to the Department of Homeland Security’s citizenship database. We know from just a small sample that an alarming number of non-citizens are on the voter rolls and many of them have illegally voted in past elections. The federal government has the power to prevent such irreparable harm from continuing, and Florida once again implores them to grant access to the SAVE database.”

Nearly a year ago, the state requested access to a citizenship database, maintained by the Department of Homeland Security, called the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database, that would allow Florida to more accurately identify non-citizens who are registered to vote. To date, the federal government continues to block access, thereby preventing Florida’s efforts to ensure fair elections.  source

We don't need no stinking photo ID to vote...

even though 953 dead people voted in South Carolina.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina's attorney general has notified the U.S. Justice Department of potential voter fraud.
Attorney General Alan Wilson sent details of an analysis by the Department of Motor Vehicles to U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles.
In a letter dated Thursday, Wilson says the analysis found 953 ballots cast by voters listed as dead. In 71 percent of those cases, ballots were cast between two months and 76 months after the people died. That means they "voted" up to 6 1/3 years after their death.
The letter doesn't say in which elections the ballots were cast.
The analysis came out of research for the state's new voter identification law. The U.S. Justice Department denied clearance of that law.

Wilson told Nettles he asked the State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. source

Blatant discrimination against the poor and minorities in Illinois...

New Law Requires Photo ID To Buy Drain Cleaner
CHICAGO (CBS) – A new state law requires those who buy drain cleaners and other caustic substances to provide photo identification and sign a log.

[...]The law, which took effect Sunday, requires those who seek to buy caustic or noxious substances, except for batteries, to provide government-issued photo identification that shows their name and date of birth. The cashier then must log the name and address, the date and time of the purchase, the type of product, the brand and even the net weight.
[...]State Rep. Jack Franks (D-Woodstock) obtained passage of the new law following attacks in which drain cleaner was poured on two Chicago women, badly scarring them.  read the rest

So, I want to be absolutely sure I understand this.

Democrats want a law to force us to show a photo ID to buy drain cleaner, but oppose a law to require a photo ID to vote?

Busting the “myth” of "no voter fraud"

Do the people on the loony left realize how insulting and demeaning it is to say that having to produce a picture ID is needlessly harsh on minorities?  Why don't they just stand up and say, "Blacks are to too stupid and lazy to obtain an ID?"   Because that is exactly what they're saying.

Bruce McQuain sheds some light on the subject:
One of the primary requirements for any democracy is to safeguard the integrity of its voting system.  If the people believe that it is subject to compromised in any way, shape or form, they’re likely to lose confidence in the system.  And that will eventually erode the legitimacy of any government that is formed under such a system. One way to help insure that integrity is to make voters identify themselves before they can cast their ballot with a form of identification that everyone agrees upon and does the job of validating their identity.  Most agree that a picture ID issued by the state or federal government fulfills that role.  That’s because the such IDs usually aren’t issued until the entity issuing it can certify that the individual it is issuing it too is both a citizen and legal resident of the area.  read the rest
and from Robert Knight at The Washington Times:

Voter ID terrifies Democrats
The most consequential election in our lifetime is still 10 months away, but it’s clear from the Obama administration’s order halting South Carolina’s new photo ID law that the Democrats already have brought a gun to a knife fight.
How else to describe this naked assault on the right of a state to create minimal requirements to curb voter fraud?  read the rest
