This is seriously good!!   Way bigger than it looks and the bacon is smoked to perfection.  Excellent!  I substituted the seasoned fries.  It is calorie free if you vote for Romney.

Why I support Obama...

a look into the mind of a liberal.

A recent picture has been circulating among the people who consider themselves the "intelligentsia" listing the reasons they consider most important to reelect Obama.

The country has added over 6 trillion dollars of new debt,  23 million people are out of work, which doesn't include the people who have given up even looking for work, tens of millions of people have been added to the ranks of the disabled, and millions more are now on food stamps.  Billions of our dollars have been diverted to so-called green energy companies in what will go down in history as the biggest money laundering scheme ever.  ObamaCare is decimating businesses and causing lay-offs, and four Americans were sacrified in Benghazi in what can only be called an act of treason by this administration, and the following is why they think Obama deserves another term.

These people, who can be referred to as the low-information voters, are more concerned about "free" birth control - an issue that was never an issue until a very short time ago, homosexuals being able to "marry", and the mourning of dead fish, than they are about dead Americans. 

They live cocooned in a world awash in soy lattes, surrounded by others of their ilk, and neither fact-check their assumptions or converse on the issues with anything other than ad hominem attacks.  They demand tolerance while displaying an intolerance for conservatives or religious people that can only be called, well, intolerant and they completely fail to see the irony.

You can't turn the Titanic around in a day?  In case you haven't gotten the news, the Titanic sunk and so will you.

I’ve written before about the fact that Barack Obama was not planning another big Election Night victory party in Grant Park here in Chicago like the spectacle he put on in 2008, because no one I know in the Parks Department or in the event planning community had anything on their radar for Grant Park that night.  Because of the permitting and union rules that plague any event in this City (which wouldn’t be waived even for Obama, due to liability and insurance issues the City would face if anything went wrong and permitting was not followed to the “T”) we would have known a few weeks ago if Obama expected another win and was going to celebrate in Chicago again.  That massive Grant Park victory rally took a while to plan and involved far too many vendors for anything similar to be replicated this year without people already knowing.

I’ve suspected for some time that Obama was going to plan for a concession speech on November 6th, but last night final confirmation arrived in the form of leaked news that the Obama election night event is being staged in private McCormick Place, not a big public setting like Grant Park.  read the rest

Under Obama, however, the heart and soul of the party has been let out of the closet and revealed (only for those paying attention, however, not the millions who so stubbornly still are not). Let's go there: if Obama thinks he's losing, will he allow safe and fair elections on November 6?  And if he does lose, will he peacefully turn over power to Mitt Romney on January 20, 2013?  Or will he cling to power "by any means necessary," as a highly placed insider alleges?

Now, I'm truly sorry to raise such disgusting, un-American, crazy-sounding questions, but, alas, they're not crazy, and I've got a disquieting amount of evidence.  The Democrats have already accused Romney of murdering a woman with cancer, financial felonies, and not filing taxes for ten years -- the last charge delivered by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on the Senate floor, on the basis of absolutely no evidence whatsoever.

By Democrat standards, I've got enough proof to put away Obama, et al. for life without parole.

Whatever chicanery Obama and his investors may be contemplating, it will probably unfold against some gargantuan crisis, manufactured or otherwise.  So cast your mind back to September 11, 2001, the day of the New York mayoral primary.  read the rest

Imagine spending the next 10 months listening to attack after attack against each of the possible Republican nominees - by the Republicans/Conservatives.  That's exactly what's going to happen. 

Is Bain Capital really an issue?  By the time the anti-capitalists are done, it will be.  Having not examined each and every document detailing what Bain Capital did or did not do, I won't be making a decision over their business practices.  With only a cursory glance at the company, it appears they were not the "vultures" people seem to think they are.  But, hey - that's just me.

I don't always disagree with Victor Davis Hanson, but his fine article Obama’s Postmodern Vision 
while being correct about the direction this country is headed, attributes way too much to the "vision" of Obama.  Trust me on this - Obama has no vision.  He is an empty-suited sock-puppet living on the down-low whose only "vision" is of his next fun ride on Air Force One.  Obama is a malignant narcissist, who is being played and manipulated; he actually believes the hype promulgated by the loony left.  He and his equally despicable wife are sheltered and cosseted from the true feelings of the vast majority of the American public.  We know this because no one has had the nerve to tell Mooch she looks like a hot-mess 99% of the time (I'm trying to be charitable by tossing her 1%.)   But remember, while Mooch runs around spending our money, she thinks we're stupid uninformed.

and we are surprised, why?

Since I've had many years to witness elections in this country (the first I really remember is Eisenhower, although I was just a lass of 7), lately I've started to have a suspicion that the whole process consists of smoke and mirrors.  In light of the fact that we have three branches of government, the frenzy over who will be president seems a bit over the top.

The sight of masses of people trying to get the attention of this candidate or that candidate, as though they are rock stars, is unsettling.  It's always unsettling to see adults behaving toward any human being in such a manner, and it's not at all dignified. 

I listened carefully to Romney's speech (video below) and everything he has said has been said before - over and over.

I think Shakespeare was on to something when he said:

To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools

Elections and the Illusions of Choice 

The political season has unleashed its predictable frenzy, much to the delight of people who make a living off it. But to what end? There are only two types of politicians who end up holding office, wrote H.L. Mencken: “first, glorified mob-men who genuinely believe what the mob believes, and secondly, shrewd fellows who are willing to make any sacrifice of conviction and self-respect in order to hold their jobs.”
That about sums it up. The plus side of elections is that sometimes the debates, discussions, candidates and parties, raise fundamental questions about what kind of society we want to live in. That’s the best we can hope for.

But there is a downside to all this hullabaloo: it gives the impression that the mere existence of the electoral process gives “We the People” a fundamental choice about the kind of state we want. This is not true. The politicians we elect are veneers or facades. They are bandits, but they do not constitute what is called the state. This goes for just about every developed state in the world for the last 200 years.

The whole election process leads people to believe that the state is embedded in its leaders. Not so. In France, this system ended with the execution of Louis XVI; in Germany, with the ascent of Bismarck; and in Russia, with the Bolshevik Revolution. The personal state died in the U.S. pretty early on, as even Thomas Jefferson discovered when he became president in 1801; he felt himself powerless to do anything.

The modern state lives outside the will of a particular leader or administration. Voting and elections only change the temporary managers, but do not touch the core of the problem.  read the rest and ponder
