Official Election 2010 Song w/ Update. We Now Have Two Official Election 2010 Songs

 Another One Bites the Dust

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

Update:

Thanks to the brilliant Smitty of The Other McCain we now have another "official" election 2010 song - this time from the Dem perspective.   Thanks, Smitty...

If it keeps on raining levee's going to break
If it keeps on raining levee's going to break
When the levee breaks have no place to stay

Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan

Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan
Got what it takes to make a Mountain Man leave his home

Oh, well; oh, well; oh, well.

Don't it make you feel bad?

When you're trying to find your way home you don't know which way to go?
When you're going down south and there's no work to do
And you're going on to Chicago

Crying won't help you, praying won't do you no good

Crying won't help you, praying won't do you no good
When the levee breaks, mama, you got to go

All last night sat on the levee and moaned

All last night sat on the levee and moaned
Thinking about my baby and my happy home

Going - going to Chicago

Going to Chicago
Sorry, but I can't take you

Roundup of Predictions...

brought to you by the famous Pundette  - and we thank her...

(you didn't really think I was going to scamper about and do a roundup, did you?)

Janet Daley of the Daily Telegraph writes here about the imminent victory of the Tea Party politicians in this week's American mid term elections. Like her colleague Toby Harnden, she understands American politics far better than most British commenters, and she seems to 'get it' better than most main stream media types in the USA for that matter. read the rest

Pacific Time Zone

*****One of the problems with living in the Pacific time zone is by the time I roll out of bed, our new President has already done so much violence to our country, it momentarily stuns me into speechlessness.

*****Rearranging my schedule to arise at 3am would solve the problem, but what difference would that make? We hear so many people say, "What can I do about it? The "powers-that-be" will do whatever they want to do."

*****I agree that the rolling ball of insanity is careening down the hillside. But rather than taking a Sisyphian attitude to that ball, lets start pushing it back toward the top where you will find a sign that says:
