After finishing Peter Schweizer's Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America's Progressive Elite, Trump brings hope to the March for Life...

and I thank him.

I was seriously bummed after finishing Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America's Progressive Elite last night. I get it - many of the politicians are corrupt.  But to read a more detailed report on just how awful these people are leaves you feeling a bit hopeless.

This is from his concluding chapter and it addresses some recent discussion here about power, money, and corruption:
History teaches that corruption follows power. The more power you accumulate, the more likely you are to exploit that power for your own benefit. History also teaches that power tempts those who wield it into corrupt acts. Founding Father George Washington once worried, "Few men have virtue to withstand the highest bidder.
But the problem is not just with accumulated power, but also with those who seek it. As scientist and author David Brin pointedly noted, "It is said that power corrupts, but actually it's more true that power attracts the corruptible."
This morning, while contemplating the corruption of many of our politicians and wondering how in hell us little dirt people could fight back, along comes Donald Trump addressing, in person, the March for Life.

This is the first time since the the march, held every year around the time of the passage of Roe v Wade issued in 1973 legalizing abortion nationwide, a sitting president has addressed the crowd.

Once again, Trump gave me Hope.

The Creepy Line...

is creepy.
An eye-opening documentary, The Creepy Line reveals the stunning degree to which society is manipulated by Google and Facebook and blows the lid off the remarkably subtle - hence powerful - manner in which they do it.
One of my biggest mistakes is to assume that other people use social media and do Google searches like I do.  So when I hear statistics like "9 out of 10 people don't fact check" or "fewer than 5% go beyond the first page of a Google search" I'm completely gobsmacked.

And I'm still wondering how people can use Facebook for their news source when I have never seen "news" on Facebook. I do see targeted ads which I ignore.  Perhaps someone out there roaming about could answer that for me.

It also amazes me that there are people who don't realize their search results are  manipulated and all their data being stored away in a secret crypt. I guess that goes full circle back to my biggest mistake I mentioned above.

The documentary is informative, eye opening and well worth a watch.  It features Jordan Peterson, Dr. Robert Epstein, and other notable people.

The Creepy Line is free for Prime members and only costs $4.99 to rent for non-members.
