While I have no doubt that this administration would love to incite a race war, the chances of it happening are not real good. I may be completely wrong. I often am. But sometimes I'm right. We call that being human.
First off, in order to have a war, you need two sides. Sometimes there's more than two, but in the interest of keeping it simple (I'm into simple), let's just stick with two sides.
Supposedly, we'll have a white side and a black side. Using 2013 figures, the percentage of white people in the U.S. is 77.7. The percentage of blacks is 13.2. Even if we kick out those under 18 and over 65, we still have about 60% of the population who are white. I haven't included the percentage of Hispanics, since they won't join up with the blacks.
Now, explain to me how you can have a "war" with hundreds of millions of people on one side, and just a few million on the other?
In all the racial unrest we've witnessed, it's been a minority of the minorities who have shown up for the battle. Their goal? Looting. Mainly for tennis shoes, hair weaves, and, for some inexplicable reason, we saw lots of toilet paper being purloined in Ferguson.
In the recent Black Lives Matter debacle in St. Paul, MN, of the thousand who were expected to march in an effort to disrupt the state fair, only about 300 showed up and half of those were misguided white college students. College students love them some causes, doncha know?
In a war, you need to have leaders, strategies, planning, and above all, weapons. The minority of the minorities have none of the above. Sure, they have a few stolen guns, but what happens when the ammunition runs out? They're not capable of planning, and they certainly have no strategy other than that of looting and killing each other.
In July, 45 people were murdered in Baltimore. Of the 45 homicides, all but two were black. Only one involves a non-black suspect, and it's a case of Asian infanticide (the other homicide involved an Indian deliveryman being gunned down by a black dude). source
So is Bill wrong when he says that this administration is trying to start a race war? Not at all. However, it's not going to be a "war" as we perceive it to be. It will be more chaos that enables this administration to pass more and more onerous "laws" and regulations.
Study up on the history of Kristallnacht in 1938 Germany to see how quickly the tide can turn. What's fascinating to me is that, while looking at such an event in hindsight and recognizing it for what it was and when it happened, the average German knew nothing about it. The hoi polloi of Berlin went about their business the next day as though nothing had happened. Even many Jews, in an effort to maintain normalcy bias, thought each event would be the last, and things would never get any worse. They did get worse. Way worse.
