It's Monday...

Happy Columbus Day.

I have one question.  Yesterday Obama played golf with his personal chef Ron Kass (who happens to be a real hottie.)  Later that day he headed to Camp David - alone.  Why would he go to Camp David alone?  Or - maybe the question should be, "Was he really alone?" source

Today will be dedicated to all things Italian at our home in honor of Christopher Columbus.  For starters I'll be making Suppli, brought to my attention by Simcha Fischer, who very nicely posted a recipe.

If you plan on making this, please use the proper rice for the risotto.

When buying rice to make a risotto, choose short-grained round or semi-round rice; among the best rices for making risotti are Arborio (my first choice), Vialone Nano, and Carnaroli.  Long grained rice won't do, because the grains will stay separate. Nor should you use minute rice -- it won't absorb the condiments, and again the grains will remain separate.
