He's out of ideas. That's the big take away from this speech. This is simply stimulus 2.0, complete with promises of infrastructure jobs ready to go -- echoes of "shovel ready."
This is bad, bad news for the country. As Obama pointed out, its 14 months to the next election. 14 months with a president with no plan to move the country forward, no ability to critically evaluate successes and failures, no capacity to deviate from his ideological proclivities. This is very bad news indeed.
What we need now is a flexible leader committed to solutions that work, and an understanding that government (while necessary as a referee) is terrible player in the economic arena. Unfortunately, the speech tonight demostrates conclusively that we don't have that.
The lack of American jobs makes him feel bad when he's on vacation. Come to think of it, he's probably due for another after that speech (I didn't here).

Another $100 billion? Are you kidding me?
All this greedy and destructive POTUS knows how to do is spend OUR money!
Audacious thinker that Obama is. :-)
So true, but it sure does not a good job destroying them!

It's going to be a long 14 months.
