Even though in past seasons I've had to hold my nose over some of the scanty costumes, as a former ballroom instructor (with a few national trophies of my own), and knowing Mark Ballas and his father from our Houston days, I enjoyed the show.
But this season will have to proceed without me and I'm sure they're not too upset. Millions more folks will be tuning in to watch Chaz Bono do her/his thing, whatever that might be. The "ick factor" is just too high for this viewer.
How about we watch some real dancing?

What upsets me is that this will be presented as 'normal' to the viewing audience. Sorry, Chastity Bono making herself look like a man (without having any surgery) is not normal. I won't be watching either.
The whole point for Bono's appearance is to mormalize Gender Identity Disorder--which is a mental illness, and to convince people that's it's cool to have ones body modified to facilitate perverted sex.
Count me out.
Ranter - It's sort of sad that millions of people will be tuning in to just make fun of Chastity. I don't hold with that sort of cruelty even if she did put herself in the spotlight.
IR - all she had done was have her breasts removed. The rest is the same. So really - she's a lesbian that just wants to look really butch.
I've never watched the show to begin with. Having Chastity Bono as a dancer isn't going to make me want to watch the show one bit.
Remember all the talk (I think last year?) about GLBT groups being upset that there wasn't same-sex dancing pairs? I think this is a way for ABC to shut them up (i.e. help them along).
I never watched the show and it's really not dancing with the stars. It's dancing with D list.
