It's Friday...

what's going on.

If you missed my post yesterday, my new custom built computer is here.  Safely sitting next to me in its box, awaiting the return of my computer guru this afternoon to work his magic, has given me ample time to coo and pet his sleek exterior.  I've properly introduced myself, told him how beautiful he is, and explained I would only be feeding him the most masterful morsels of bytes - or something.  I praised his power - 1 terra byte, and explained that we would be joined at the hip for years to come.  He blinked one of his beautiful blue lights at me and vibrated with joy.  We shall be the best of friends.

Obambi, fresh off his wonderful  tour of the Midwest in a butt ugly black bus (cheerfully paid for by "we the taxpayer"), is safely ensconced at Martha's Vineyard, home to the nouveue riche, where he will play golf, rub elbows with the residents at cocktail parties, and eat fatty food washed down with gallons of ice cream. Rumor has it that a delivery of many cases of vodka was made in preparation for the first woman's arrival, which by the way was independent of her husband, costing the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of extra dollars - but who's counting?

Meantime the economy is still tanking, people are out of work in record numbers, and most of us are eschewing vacations of our own to save money.  Welcome to the world of Barack Hussein Obama.  Isn't Socialism wonderful?

Jim, at Conservatives on Fire doesn't think so:   Double Dumb Is Leading To Double Dip

And Maggie tells us why, perhaps, Americans can't find jobs (even the "ones they won't do") Obama Amnesty by Fiat: DREAM Act by Fiat: New Standards ByPass Law – We Can’t Stop Obama in Court. What Do We Do Now?

Or maybe people can't afford to put gas in their cars to job hunt:  Bunkerville gives us the scoop on Ethanol.  We cant' even say "let them eat corn" :   New Ethanol Blends moving forward – Corn prices skyrocket

Dave, over at Thought's Aloud, has some interesting tidbits about the  Invisible Government

And Chris, over at WyBlog, reminds us of how government wastes even more of our money:   NJ BPU hatches plan forcing us to subsidize the solar energy market

Dave, who hangs out at Peace or Freedom suggests we need more Alan Wests, and less Maxine Waters.

Angela, the beautiful Parisienne Farmgirl, is fighting a chicken war. Just one more way the government sticks it to us with useless regulations. The Straight Poop...Chicken that is...

Don't think so?  Read what John Carey has to say in Fencing in Liberty

Matthew Archbold tells us why he is glad to have bunches (okay - only 5 ) children. This is a must read!  You Can Never Afford Them

Reaganite Republican is shedding light on  Support Your Local 'Plant-a-Pig'!

Conservative blogging legend Innominatus, from the blog Innominatus, is joining Trestin and the rest of the wonderful contributors at "DON'T TREAD ON US."  Stop over and give him a hearty welcome.

Republican Mother has part 2 of Saving America posted and is making a wonderful offer of the Homeschool Quick Start Program - and we thank her.  Saving America: Step 2  Exit Public "Propaganda" Education.

And Political Junkie Mom adds   What will it take to deem unionized state-run schools a total failure?

Randy has the Picture of the Day, and it's a gooder.

That first paragraph had me wondering. Is it the tech or the computer you're caressing?

It's so nice of you to pass some on to my silliness ... thank you.

Thanks for the link - I emailed my linked up book list in my "quick start program" to a friend who was strapped for cash this year and she is appreciative. Took me awhile to link up all those books, but I hope to be using it myself in the months to come.
